      Thanks !
The tarp come from a accessories resin kit found on ebay. You can find a lot.

Hi again, you would never guess what I've just found! I've just done loads of cross references with the 2 jeeps the willy's and the ford and guess what! The willy's jeep only had eyelets welded to the top of the window frame and the window was able to be strapped to the front of the bonnet (hood)! the same as this meng kit!! and ford have the motors! Same as the Tamyia kit! So all references and conclusion is there is the 2 types of Jeep meng do the original willy's and Tamyia do the late ford model when they were told to take the ford embossing off the rear left! But I have cracked the case haha! And I bet there is not one person noticed or dug this information up with these kits as far as I'm aware!?

Hi, Sorry for the delay of this answer. I spend time in my archive and you are true and your comment id very intersting. but take care because the version produced by Bantam is very near the version from Willys. Moreover, the accessories and the details between the 3 producers are nearly the same following the years of production. For instance, the diffrence between Willys and Ford are difficult to find after 1944.

Unit markings would not be on a crated Jeep. Seat colour too green. Windscreen cover would not be over the screen.

Let's see your build Steve ... what's that - you don't have one ?? You just like to make dick postings picking at other people's work because you have no talents of your own?? That makes sense..

I was quite surprised when I built the Meng MB sonny boy jeep and this Tamyia jeep to see the difference in the detail with mengs but I was completely shocked when Tamyias has alot more detail than the meng kit like the wiper motors even on the top frame whare mengs is just 2 dots really! And the amount of filling holes in the rear tailgate bit in instructions with the meng kit was very poor! They used the same body from the British flame thrower jeep kit and have you fill all the holes in the back up! There not small either! It's a meltdown sprue job and putty the Tamyia one is miles better and 10 quid cheaper! I'm honestly very surprised but I have seen meng slipping lately in there kits I've been building!

Many thanks for your comment ! The information given will be helpful (I hope) for all of us who hesitate between tamiya and Meng. In my point of view, Tamiya remains the best quality for this kit.

@@DarkSideModeler definitely and I'm normally one of them hence why o bought the meng kit first then saw a review of the Tamyia one so went and bought it as was only £15 to mengs £29.99 Sonny boy! I can't believe the difference I have to hand it to Tamyia for this kit definitely! Maybe because it's not a high part detailed vehicle as it is I think they were able to put everything into producing this kit! It was the window wipers motors that caught my eye before and thought that meng kit has nothing like that I'm sure and went to look and nope 2 small dash dots! Soni had to scratch build them! I like to wire some kits and this is definitely a good one for that! I'll have to check the cross member bar behind the the grill on both to see if one is square turning and one rounded never thought to look at that before on the kits maybe they made the both willy's and ford versions?
