Must be like a field trip to these prisoner's....
DJ Timmie Dee you hit on the nose . First time I went to visit a friend there took me 4 hours from the moment I crossed that bridge til my friend came out .
It is....
I'll never understand why people rather waste land burying carcasses instead of building things like affordable housing and sustainable infrastructure. If you care about someone's spirit, a set of prayers can go a much longer way than putting them in a box and plotting land for their decomposing bodies (which would be more useful as fertilizer.)
People are moving into that. Being buried without a box and seeds planted with them. They grow into trees.
Money grab. Real estate
Haunted like a mother....

Snapple facts
They Tried to tell me to do this for 40 a week In C 76. I l told them no Thanks, and they are not detainees. There sentenced inmates doing 16 months or under.
They are inmates that are doing skid bits city sentence less than a year…
They were motivated to do the right thing they were treated like say a trustee, Retired New York City correction officer, retired 2002
I would volunteer every day!!
Inmates didnt volunteer, they were paid for it
Trust me You wouldn’t. Not the way the COs treat ya over there
@@FpBklynnnn Nothing is what you know. There was a long list of Rikers inmates requesting a work detail on Hart Island
@@tommycat4930 YEA OK. Keep Dreaming. They had to beg people to take that JOB. That is Morbid…When I was there I had outside clearance so I mowed the lawn swept outside.Take that job anyway over the bodies
@@tommycat4930 u been behind the walls before ?
They give dignity for a life lived.
And it shall come to pass that wreckers island shall hear a great noise and the guards shall flee for those that dwell in the great city shall vanish and only wrecks island shall be left and they shall inherit the great city.

Isnt it a jail
Deblasio emptied it.
Yoooo dis ish is bugginnn foh
Its going to be excavated and the land will become an exclusive island for who can afford it. With boat docks etc. Smart mansions they call it. Supposed to be renamed smart island.
Who’s actually crazy enough to build a house in that island 😳
@@samuelsantana9424 people would weather at a discount or for inflated rates. Like roosevelt island and parts of lower Manhattan. Indian and African burial grounds have been built upon as well. Amityville etc. People into the occult etc.
based on the markers I counted there are at least 13,000 people buried on that patch of grass
It's strange reading your comment knowing they've buried 1000s there in just the past week or so.
Each marker is for hundreds of folk. Have a look at the Hart Island videos. There are over a million buried there
I counted 86 markers
"Propper burrial" you gotta be kidding me they stack people on top of each other and put maybe an inch of soil on top of them. For babies they put 100 of them togeather
When I was a New correction officer at NYC CIFM one of my assignments was to bring the mail up to the Compound on Harts island, The inmates took their burial job with dignity and respect… There is individuality in the jail population
Junior killer trinitarios gonna be
I used to do this wen I was in C-76...a very sad job to partake in,
No lie, my uncle who served time did this.
The little boxes bothered him.
1 Million graves!!!
Thank you.
