Thanks for the tips and things to watch out for. I purchased a Tamiya Blazing Star a while ago with the intention of buying parts over time to convert it to a Top Force. At the end of the day though, it worked out much cheaper to simply buy a 2017 Top Force that was on special at my local hobby shop. Im yet to build it, but am keen to get back into some Vintage Racing.
Your Top Force looks good. Is that the Xtra Speed shorty lipo battery holder you have on the car? And what brand of alloy front lower gearbox cover are you using? I thought I read that some brands don’t fit very well. Hoping you will do future videos on this car as you run and tune it to get it ready for the big race later next year. Thanks for the video!
Have a few pure bred 4WD buggies. The Top Force is one of the easiest to work on… diff access etc. TF has really grown on me. Local guys get good results equal or better against top vintage buggies. Keep us updated. 👍🏼

Yes, that's the Xtra Speed lipo holder. The front lower gearbox cover is, I think, GPM.
You can get an alu rear gearbox cover for a 3mm thick shocktower.
ive just sorted my ta01 to original. Now ive a got spare front and rear now so might go this direction with them. Its either a buggy or a touring car.
You can get sealed gear diffs now for the DF01 TA01. I've run it for over a year and it works great.
Yes, I have those as backup, plus the EXO ball diff mod currently installed.
Nice 😁👍

TA02/DF01 is a good and versatile platform. I raced my Dirt Thrasher several times and it was great.
