I understand that you say that because the comment may be seen as fairly trivial in the grand scheme of things but if they were always allowed to say things like that then there would be more resentment between all different parties and you’d get people speaking like Trump which would be problematic at the least (not taking a jab at US politics but just using an example of a person). Another thing to remember is that this is MPs behaving badly. If you watch the full debates then they’re normally fairly uneventful and boring, it’s not normally as bad as this.
rog hays they did...he’s gone. Lol. He was incredibly biased towards the left. It was as clear as the nose on your face. Look at it this way, they spend all the time talking anyways, and when you stop caring about etiquette you get people that speak like Trump, and stupidity like that is contagious. Being able to accomplish proper dialogue has been an important part of politics since the times of Socrates. ... So yeah, it's funny. :)

XXxFandundanxXX TheRedstoneMinecart Kind of means if someone goes too far with the roast off then he tells them to shut up or they get disqualified from the competition
XXxFandundanxXX It's a shorthand form of "order in the house!" (House of commons) The demand for order in the house comes so that proceedings may continue, as proceedings cannot continue if there is disorder. There is considered to be disorder if people are speaking out of turn, or speaking all at once, so effectively the demand for "order" serves as a demand for silence.
Had I heard Theresa May refer to Corbyn as a "stupid man", corbyn to Johnson a "stupid man", May to Raynor "stupid woman" etc, I would not have considered any of these to be sexist. Corbyn's "stupid woman" remark was not so as to say, "the Prime Minister is stupid because she is a woman", nor was it to imply in any other sort of way that her sexuality was the cause or symptom (?) of her stupidity. Perhaps he should have called her a stupid person? The fact is that Corbyn was referring to the Prime Minister as stupid, and she happens to be a woman so that's what he called her, as with every other instance in the HoC. When referring to the right honourable gentleman, equally, this is not a sexist remark that he is only honourable because he is a gentleman - it's just a simple fact that the person in question happens to be so. That said, it does seem very clear that he said "woman" not "people", disappointing that he seems to have lied.
