After slavery was abolished the colonials were forced to free all the African slaves and Irish slaves in Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean. The colonials couldn’t convince the freed slaves to do the plantation work for payments…so they were forced to import the Chinese, Portuguese and East Indians from India to work on the sugar plantations. Today Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean still have all these races living together in peace and harmony.

Too many tell tale signs, people from st Elizabeth have a very distinctive accent and for him to have spent 18 years there without a trace of that accent is almost impossible, especially given the fact that he was virtually born there. Strictly my opinion, by the way ,is he an only child?

The Irish were enslaved along with people who were criminally convicted in Britain and sentenced to encampment in labour camps. The African slaves came mainly from West Africa by the South Sea Company a British company which was selling slaves to the Caribbean mainly to the Spanish from 1700s until collapse in 1853.

The Spanish is the first to bring black people to Jamaica as slaves according to the history books, English people then fight off the Spanish, English people wasn't the first to bring slaves to Jamaica.
The Portuguese also enslaved Africans in Jamaica.

Ireland today is just an extension of Britain, it started with the plantations and finally today you have the full result. It was not endenturment as I hear so many of yous say, that was only after supply run out and they began importing more and more slaves from Africa. Whole towns were burned down and enslaved by Oliver Cromwell. Please do your research. Bless
@Ride The Tiger It was the Arawak/Taino natives that were colonised and enslaved by the Spanish. The fact this aspect is overlooked says it all. The Irish were enslaved along with people who were criminally convicted in Britain and sentenced to encampment in labour camps. The African slaves came mainly from West Africa by the South Sea Company a British company which was selling slaves to the Caribbean mainly to the Spanish from 1700s until collapse in 1853.
