Did anyone think the same way ? The 0.03 album is good but every song before this album is Hella Nice. I don't really like their new album . 😢 Luckily I'm able to go to their concert last year!
haha you're very nice, I could be more frank and say their recent release is kinda meh, the only standout being the tongue-in-cheek "annie". The song's popularity alone proved my point but also, imo that definitely isn't their best song out of their now respectable catalogue. Yes, they released a monster of a debut album and on top of "seasons", propelled them to meteoric success early on. This is a guess but I would say because they likely wrote "play with earth" while busy travelling for their debut world tour, the album quality suffered as a result. The good news is this recent release is an EP, so it's like a mini-album instead of a full one. However, that does not mean they can't release a good EP as they have done so before while virtually an unknown band. I'm still a big enough fan that I eagerly anticipate their next release, of course 1st knowing that they have spent some time settling down after a busy schedule to brainstorm a project with more complexity and interesting music hooks though.
