I love that new "old" frame, Girlfriend. It's beautiful! What a chart collection you have! Wow!
I've also learned to not lend out charts, books, etc except to my sisters unless I don't mind giving that particular item away which would be very unusual for me. My idea is not really due to all the copyright issues. It's strictly because, I seldom would ever receive the item I loaned back and I got sick of it .

Yes your face looks pretty inside that old frame your husband found. Don't be so hard on yourself. That tray with the burn on the corner - how about trying to sand away that burnt part to make it less dark? Or paint a layer of white at that spot before doing another colour on the entire tray. Loved the B charts. Keep them coming!

Great stitching. Always looks better to see it in person or on RUclips than the designer's pattern picture. For the one that you are wanting to tone down, have you seen where stitchers are following Brenda Gervais' instructions for toning down DMC by soaking all the threads . Makes them very pretty. I think it was for Elizabeth Hunt 1845.

I agree with you completely on not loaning out or even selling your charts. I have loaned out my books, my gardening tools, items of clothing, etc. to folks I really trusted with my cared for items and either never got them back or received them stained and damaged. Now I just have the same “rule” for everyone, I’m sorry I can’t loan it out. I collect books and tools and plan on leaving them to my children who are also gardeners. I am a new subscriber to your Flosstube and enjoy the variety of charts you present, your birds in the background, and your lovely dogs. Thank you for all the work you put into our community.

About the lending of charts, and copies. I used to stitch in the 1990’s, then there was close to 30 years I didn’t, so of course I missed out on a lot of great charts. When I see one in a video I do my research to see if it’s out of print or still available. If I find a copy, that is reasonably priced I’ll buy it. This that a inflated pricing, well not getting my few Pennie’s. No chart is worth it. And though I’ll keep looking for a reasonably priced copy. I use working copies of my charts and when I’m done stitching it I shred the copy. I would lend a copy to a person I know, and see often, but not a stranger. If designers were smart they’d offer older charts a PDFs and reprints. But that’s their decision. It’s their refusal that has created those outrageously priced charts. There are new stitches all the time that have never seen some charts. If I find a website for a out of print chart I’ll contact the designer to see if the have any plans to re-release a chart, and let them know there are stitchers out here that would still be interested in their chart.

I just see them on instagram mostly. Cobweb corner is showing alot of them not that expo is over. You can probably check needlework websites for them too.
