I don't know what that was.....but it was wonderful. What a life, to get to feel the way those three musicians felt pulling that out of their souls, or whatever you term the most wonderful place you can be.
Small venues are the best. Knowing that researchers and engineers are working on implants for the hearing impaired is wonderful. Imagining them hearing soulful music for the first time is so amazing that it makes it hard to breathe and swallow. Life without music, particularly folk and singer/songwriter, would be unbearable.
Pretty rendition of a beautiful Lucinda Williams song! Keep Lucinda vibrant with more Lucinda covers by true artists like these two! Thank you for posting!✌️❤️
This has an intensity that Lucinda's doesn't, and it's really welcome! I think the song benefits from it. Phenomenal playing from Blake, and Glaspy is always amazing.
Flabbergasting! Like I mean with my new headphones, my reaction the same as Margaret’s. Would you please take this live to new venue in Portland, Reser Auditorium!
Blake Mills may be my favourite guitarist ever. He seems to have a hard time getting out of his own way anymore. It's mostly noise these days. I probably just dont get it.
Hmm. Love all these players. But felt a little on the edge of too self-aware/showy. Especially Blake’s playing. Maybe just preferential on my part to prefer arrangements that are a little more conventional.
Are you some kind of Russian troll? Is it “like” super boring or super boring? Maybe you don’t really exist. Check your ears. Check your heart. Are they “like” working?

blake is truly the GOAT
where's the full set??? This is great. Margaret and Blake have a similar growl.
She's taking risks - and I love her for it!
Blake has his own cover that is just sublime
yeh somehow Blakes version hits so much harder. I think its the drums in his one that set it apart.

How can she go wrong doing a bad ass version of a Lucinda Williams song…
Super group - Margaret's voice is sublime, incredible interpretation of a great song

So great.

I think we are listening to two different singers if you feel that way about Lucinda?
Great stuff. I like the small lineup a lot.
KILLING IT oh wow
COOL !!!

❤
Nice display of chops. but if you know Lucinda, you know.
Holyshit🤍
might be the first time i didnt love blakes tone
Let's see, should I get Julian Lage to accompany me today? Nah, I think go with Blake Mills instead. An embarrassment of riches for Margaret Glaspy😂
My thoughts exactly 😂
Julian Lage is her husband 🙂

is there a time stamp you’re talking about?

this is nice but like super boring and doesn't have any sort of feel. the piano is really dead sounding and takes away from the dynamic of the song

this is actually not a nice cover at all lol she just starts screaming at 04:10 and its not nice :((
