      Thanks! Ah cyber orange, love that color. Good to hear from an owner, and even better at the limited maintenance that you've had to do. Is the Mach-E the first EV that you've owned?

      Haha nice taste! The eRay looks like it would be a blast. What build would you go for?

      @@CarsWithSteve for i would just go for the base model nothing to fancy im hoping they have the zues bronze color to 😃 but we will see in the future what happens but that would be the ideal choice 🙂

      Nice! I don't get why people snub their noses at base trim levels. They can be a great starting point with generally the same performance as the higher trims. Just scoped out some pics of the bronze.. it looks pretty good, especially with blacked out wheels and side scoops

    What is the real world and realistic miles you can get on a single charge. Yes, I know there are variables. But what can one expect?

    • @CarsWithSteve

      Great question! I'm just testing a Mach-E longer term right now to figure that out.. Real world mileage depends on how fast you accelerate, if you have heat/AC going, running dashcams or not etc.
      In the summer when I've driven the Mach-E, the range was typically exactly what was stated by Ford, unless I had too many heavy foot days
      So far in the winter, I'm finding about a 35% ish haircut to the total range without pre-conditioning, and around 30% ish when I pre-condition it before I drive

      @@CarsWithSteve Pre conditioning? What is that?

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  3 дня назад

      It would be the equivalent of warming up a regular gas car before driving it in cold conditions. With EVs, that’s best done when plugged in so that you aren’t losing range unnecessarily

      @@CarsWithSteve Thanks for your responses, Steve. More questions though............ do you have a GT? Also, when charging, does the charger have an automatic shut off when fully charged? If not, is there a possibility of overcharging and overheating the battery and/or charger to the point of catching fire?

      Anytime! I haven't picked up a Mach-E yet but it's on the top of the short list for me when I'm ready to buy my next ride. As for charging, it will automatically stop charging once your set charging limit is set. It's generally a good idea to charge up to 80% in any EV, unless you need the added range for a distance drive within a few days. No worries about fires unless there's fraying somewhere on the cable
