    Fantastic video thank you so much for sharing. I'm still looking for a good flight school here in northern NJ.

    Nice video and thanks for taking the time to share. What sort of cruise/fuel burn do you see in your C?

    • @PilotFun101
      @PilotFun101  5 лет назад

      scott miller thanks for watching! At cruise I’ll get about 145 knots indicated at 8 - 8.5 GPH. It’s a pretty fast C. Got to love the Mooney 👍

    The fuel dripping out a little happens to me occasionally too ... that’s what happens when you try to get every last drop of that cheap gas! 😎

    How did you bring up that airport overview on Fore Flight when you were taxiing? I enjoy the cafe and pilot shop at Sky-acres also. Great video

      Roy D Thank You! 44N is a cool little place. Sky Manor is also a great place. You can pull up the 3D at anytime. I hit the record button on my IPad but it didn’t record. I’ll show you next time. There is a 3D button on the airport tab. You have to update your app and you might have to subscribe to a higher part of ForeFlight.

    So why were you squawking 7777? Sounds like you might be ready for one of those external O rings on the cap...

    • @PilotFun101
      @PilotFun101  6 лет назад

      Wayne Pierce I hit the wrong button on the transponder and didn’t correct my mistake until a little later. I’m going to change the rings. But I did way way over filled it to the point it was running down the wing because I couldn’t get the trigger to pop off.

      @@PilotFun101 kept thinking my memory aid for the 7's Hi Jack/ Can't talk right now/ I've got an emergency. Someone on MooneySpace has some neoprene ones that I'm going to use when they have to be replaced. (I think that's the right material)

      Wayne Pierce 7700 is Emergency. I don’t know what the heck I did there. But corrected it at least.

      @PilotFun101  6 лет назад +1

      Charles McKenna you can spend it. Lol. Umm I’m actually looking at getting TruTrak autopilot And with that I am looking to get a Aspen evolution pro 1000

    • @charlesmckenna6164
      @charlesmckenna6164 6 лет назад +1

      That’s right, I remember from a video or two ago. Does the Trutrak require the vacuum pump, or is it a rate based A/P? The reason I went with that G5 over the Aspen I was able to remove my vacuum system. I’m all electric and gives me a little security blanket in IMC.

      @@PilotFun101 you may want to touch base with trutrak they were working on interface to garmin g5 and possible third parts support at oshkosh last year. Tge Aspen is very costly to get same function

    Fuel leak?

    • @PilotFun101
      @PilotFun101  5 лет назад

      Jason Burton it was all good. I over filled it and there was done fuel over the cap. I couldn’t get the pump to stop pumping. So I had to use my fingers to pull the lever down.

    Last year a plane crashed into my neighbors house from a plane from this airport. Literally less than 200ft away from where I was sitting in my living room. The plane killed the father who was watching tv with his daughter and it also killed the pilot. I managed to drag one of the passengers away from the fire and plane and we got one of the girls out through the window with a ladder. The daughter who was watching tv with her father, got 90% of her body burned and got blown out of the front window. We dragged her away from the fire. Do me a favor, when you guys fly out of this airport, fly the correct heading and get to max altitude. The whole community is still in shock from this. We want the airport shutdown because there is no oversight at this airport. There are also some idiot pilots who fly out of here, coming in low, leaving low, not following the flight path. Pass it on to your other pilots at this airport. Think of your own daughter burning on the front lawn. That's what I had to deal with that day and ever since.

      Jose Santiago so sorry you had to deal with such a tragedy. I been an EMT for 20 years now and seen so many tragedies. Whole families killed in car accidents and so on. You never know in life what can happen for sure. Thank you for being there helping with that situation. Accidents happen everyday more so with cars then airplanes by far. But I understand your point and respect your comment. I always fly the standard pattern and I have to say you have a really nice local airport with a lot of great history behind it. General Aviation is a big part of local communities and local taxes. Without General Aviation there is no commercial aviation because everyone starts at General Aviation.
