how is freezing a living cicada until it is dead not harming it? And it can't even feed one person, how is that more humane than butchering 1 cow that can feed many?
By all current measures and knowledge, insects do not feel pain. When they are frozen, their bodies just slow to the point where everything stops. Cows definitely do feel pain, consume vast amounts of resources, and contain large amounts of saturated fat, which is not healthy.
