The whole conflict of the movie started when Shrek told Fiona he wished he never saved her from her tower (basically), stuck in his old ways and what he was used to. And I’m not saying that Shrek is bad for feeling this way, anyone could get overwhelmed when their life changes so dramatically so quickly. It’s really deep movie if you think about it 😅

I think Shrek Forever After was the best film out of the series. It was a bit odd, but it goes to show how you shouldn't take what you have for granted. And we really get to understand how Fiona felt, and see how Shrek was without her. I think the movie really dives into how their lives could've been if they'd never met. And then with the song, Darling I Do, it really ties it up with a bow. I think the fourth one is misunderstood, and would've done better if the third one didn't happen, and just maybe make it less confusing at some parts. All in all, the film was the perfect way to end it off. But I think it just shows you how losing one person in your life can and will affect your entire life, and in some cases, your world view. It was very well portrayed in the film, and the directors really put their emotions into it, and it was a beautiful end to the amazing series. Unlike the third one, Sherk Forever After had genuine effort and emotion out into it. It definitely was an amazing film. I also like that the movie has a nice twist on what the films are usually about, and changed it up with a more heartwarming and even tear jerking film. You gotta appreciate what you have now, not what you had before. Especially loved ones. Sure we all have our fights, but sometimes we don't realize what it leads to. And I think this film really shows that you can't take the people in your life for granted. And I think that's a super important lesson. There's no benefit in losing good things that you have. You have to understand what you got. Love is fragile, family is even more fragile. Don't let those slip away from you, just because you thought that what you had before was better.

I watched the film again yesterday. It really touched me how a cartoon can teach us what real love is. I mean how Shrek proved he really loves Fiona only when he was ready to sacrifice his life for the sake of her freedom.

Muy estudiosa, preocupada por mantener promedios altos, ser la más alta, desvivirse y querer lograr todo. A veces olvida que hay otras cosas que deben de ser primero, ella es muy apasionada y perseverante... pero no se da cuenta que también hay otras cosas por delante. Esta historia comienza en 2019, mis amigos y yo entramos a tercer semestre de Preparatoria y al instante en el que mi amigo la vio, sus ojos WOW. Al instante desvió su mirada hacia ella y no dejaba de verla, estaba simplemente deslumbrado. Yo lo conozco desde hace ya mucho tiempo y nunca antes lo había visto así por una chica... Ese primer día de clase no dejaba de verla, la verdad es que yo tampoco la conocía, pero me parecía muy interesante y bella. Conforme avanzaron los días, mi amigo se iba interesando cada vez más en ella. La mencionaba mucho, halagaba su inteligencia y el hecho de que habla muy bien el inglés, además de que ella sabe hacer muchas cosas como ser cinta negra en dos artes marciales, hablar 4 idiomas, practicar varios deportes y aún así ser uno de los promedios más altos. Todo eso deslumbraba a mi amigo y lo hacía creer que ella era mucho para él y los comentarios de parte de las amigas de ella eran iguales. A mi amiga comenzó a gustarle desde el 4 de Octubre del 2019, la noté muy nerviosa, tímida y muuy roja. Ahí me di cuenta que entre los dos existía un sentimiento en común. Todo iba bien hasta que a mi amiga comenzaron a decirle que ella está súper hermosa para andar con alguien como él, mi amigo no es tan guapo como ella, pero los dos son igual de inteligentes y talentosos. Ambos eran de los promedios más altos, pero ella simplemente era admirable ante los ojos de muchas personas. Mi amigo nunca se animó a decirle la verdad, ella le dio una carta el último día de clases donde le confesó sus sentimientos... pero... la respuesta de mi amigo fue muy simple. Cuando ella fue a entregársela, noté una enorme felicidad en el rostro de mi amigo. Lo vi como nunca antes... feliz. Se notó que él quería abrazarla, pero ella era muy tímida para hacerlo. Después de esas vacaciones, mi amiga se quedó sin saber si el sentimiento de él era recíproco, creo que eso le sigue doliendo. Hace días hablé con él y me confesó que no la ha dejado de amar desde el 2019. Ambos fueron su primer amor y desafortunadamente ya nadie está en Prepa y ambos estudian en Facultades distintas. Shrek 4 is great does everything a final chapter should do which is make you appreciate everything that has come before it and close things on a happy note making us remember all the years we had with these characters. Plus it follows the trend of shrek movies 1 is falling in love, 2 is meeting the in laws, 3 is having kids, 4 is midlife crisis.

Saben qué es lo más curioso, tengo un par de amigos que desde hace 2 años se gustan. Le contaré esta historia:D
Comenzando con mi amiga, esta canción me recuerdo a ella. Muy estudiosa, preocupada por mantener promedios altos, ser la más alta, desvivirse y querer lograr todo. A veces olvida que hay otras cosas que deben de ser primero, ella es muy apasionada y perseverante... pero no se da cuenta que también hay otras cosas por delante.
Esta historia comienza en 2019, mis amigos y yo entramos a tercer semestre de Preparatoria y al instante en el que mi amigo la vio, sus ojos WOW. Al instante desvió su mirada hacia ella y no dejaba de verla, estaba simplemente deslumbrado. Yo lo conozco desde hace ya mucho tiempo y nunca antes lo había visto así por una chica...
Ese primer día de clase no dejaba de verla, la verdad es que yo tampoco la conocía, pero me parecía muy interesante y bella. Conforme avanzaron los días, mi amigo se iba interesando cada vez más en ella. La mencionaba mucho, halagaba su inteligencia y el hecho de que habla muy bien el inglés, además de que ella sabe hacer muchas cosas como ser cinta negra en dos artes marciales, hablar 4 idiomas, practicar varios deportes y aún así ser uno de los promedios más altos.
Todo eso deslumbraba a mi amigo y lo hacía creer que ella era mucho para él y los comentarios de parte de las amigas de ella eran iguales. A mi amiga comenzó a gustarle desde el 4 de Octubre del 2019, la noté muy nerviosa, tímida y muuy roja. Ahí me di cuenta que entre los dos existía un sentimiento en común. Me daba un enorme gusto verlos platicar, chivearse, observarse de reojo, buscarse con la mirada durante los recesos, despedirse siempre con sonrisas y palabras lindas, coincidir en muchos lugares y hacer equipos donde sus trabajos siempre terminaban siendo los mejores...
Todo iba bien hasta que a mi amiga comenzaron a decirle que ella está súper hermosa para andar con alguien como él, mi amigo no es tan guapo como ella, pero los dos son igual de inteligentes y talentosos. Ambos eran de los promedios más altos, pero ella simplemente era admirable ante los ojos de muchas personas.
Mi amigo nunca se animó a decirle la verdad, ella le dio una carta el último día de clases donde le confesó sus sentimientos... pero... la respuesta de mi amigo fue muy simple.
Cuando ella fue a entregársela, noté una enorme felicidad en el rostro de mi amigo. Lo vi como nunca antes... feliz. Se notó que él quería abrazarla, pero ella era muy tímida para hacerlo. Después de esas vacaciones, mi amiga se quedó sin saber si el sentimiento de él era recíproco, creo que eso le sigue doliendo.
Hace días hablé con él y me confesó que no la ha dejado de amar desde el 2019. Ambos fueron su primer amor y desafortunadamente ya nadie está en Prepa y ambos estudian en Facultades distintas.
Yo... espero vuelvan a coincidir en la vida. Se nota que se siguen amando.

My first time hearing this song was in Shrek Forever After, but that episode of Parenthood brought me back here.
. I would like to call this and underrated film because many people complain of this film hating it by many stupid reasons, by not taking the message of "You don't know what you have, until it is gone".🙂🙂
This movie was a true return to form for Shrek and its soundtrack is exquisite as well.

Shrek 4 is great does everything a final chapter should do which is make you appreciate everything that has come before it and close things on a happy note making us remember all the years we had with these characters. Plus it follows the trend of shrek movies 1 is falling in love, 2 is meeting the in laws, 3 is having kids, 4 is midlife crisis.
