It makes a lot of sense that Pepper is the more spicy of the two alligators.
The albino alligator does not have good vision due to his condition, while Peper has all his sensory senses, which is why he is more reactionary.

The fact she isn’t trying to escape or bite anyone shows she is taken care of very well and deeply trusts her owners. Crocodiles and alligators can be such good friends if you earn their trust
U should remember, those are one of the dangerous apexs in the wild. Not a pet, these are experts don’t try befriending a croc like them u aren’t a expert
@@lovinsleep granted this one due to being in captivity and it's coloration would have an extremely low chance of survival in the wild if just let free even in the right place
It was well fed I guess. That's why it's so calm. Otherwise you would be its food for sure. It's still dangerous animal.
Gator must be an infant. Adult will eat you, kids and pets!😶

Crocs and gators are cold-blooded, so they have to be mindful of how they spend their energy. Dogs are warm-blooded, so they don't have to worry about it as much. I'd say 'get a gator instead', but most people aren't equipped to care for one responsibly.
Because your dog acts like a dog. And this gator is captive, a victim of animal abuse. Alligators arent meant to be pets
Id say the majority of people arent equipped to care for them which is why they're really best not in the pet trade because for the small number of people who can handle the responsibility and unique care needs and safely handle these animals there's hundreds of others who just want a cool unique pet who they then can't take care of or handle so they either die from poor care or are released and then die. They're also not like. mammels reptiles don't form bonds or
With owners or have the cognitive intelligence for training so.owning them is more like designing a habitat and just observing them doing their thing but it's hard to give them a proper habitat or any kind of natural behaviour in captivity

I used to work at Petsmart-- and i literally couldn't even imagine if I saw Brian walk in, let alone with one of his animals- especially Salt. I've seen some awesome animals in the store- but never anything as cool as this!!

I had a guy bring in his Anaconda before, and i got to hold her (she wasn't full grown, but still around 8 ft or so) and i've had Goats come in, Raccoons, Possums, a Squirrel, and I had a guy bring in his white throat monitor once. Nothing like Salt though (only in my dreams, lol)
as a current petsmart employee, i feel like that might be number 2 or 3 on my list of crazy shit that happened that day

I grew up in the Everglades, spent most of my life around the swamp. Gators were an everyday sighting and I came to appreciate them so much in their natural wild environment. Its so odd to see one kept this way. My initial reaction was 'this is not right'. But the more I see and learn this is not just someones pet, that you are an expert in your field and love to give people experiences and want people to gain understanding and knowledge, I thoroughly approve (not that you need it haha). You should really take a trip down to florida and head out in the everglades and watch these guys do their thing. They are majestic pre-historic creatures.

Hey Brian, Albino animals are very sensitive to light and don't have great vision due to the lack of melanin and after watching Chandler's video yesterday at Wild Florida, think thats the name, they talked about the harm the direct sunlight can cause to albino alligators with over heating and poor eyesight. I know Salt dosen't get direct sunlight everyday and is perfectly healthy, maybe next time you could get her sunglasses 😎 so she's not blinded by the sunlight and see the all the local scenery.

Salt is so sweet and a showstopper everywhere she goes. Pepper is also in a super-fast growing phase looking incredibly healthy and showing his strength like a beast.

I love that stage the PetSmart worker is in when a young person crosses from adolescence into young adulthood. My 17 year old is starting to pass through that stage. Excited to see how he develops through this. Random unrelated thought but his demeanor jumped out at me and made me think of my son.
How amazing to see Salt and Pepper out on a walk together! Love the new harnesses. Can't wait to see Salty in her chicken costume for Easter. 😅

We had an albino gator at the Houston Zoo 🐾 for many years up until they decided to retire it to a farm. I grew up watching it as the years passed from child to adult. This vid reminded of it.
Salt behaved beautifully, thinking she should go out more often. Never saw RJ's colors up close before, looked like striping grey and black. Looks like a fun day at The Reptarium and hoping you all have a great day!

I love that the guy in Pet Smart said that you were at his kid's school. Right on. I had a 5th grade teacher named Mr. Campbell at Boulevard Elementary in Burien WA and we had animals in the classroom - boa constrictor, squirrels, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish --- even a great horned owl - and I thank him for my deep love for all things "animal". My parents wouldn't let me have pets. Except a cat.

My Dad had a few of these in his serpentarium before moving them to Alligator Adventure back in the 90s. Amazingly beautiful creatures. Insanely valuable as well.

I went to the Reptarium last year when covid started dying down. My mom and I love reptiles and I have a picture of me holding Salt. I moved to Florida recently so I cant visit as soon as I'd like to, but anyone in that area, you should definitely go!

Albino gators are some of my favorites. It was the main attraction in New Orleans aquarium. It has to be extremely rare.

I also hate it when, it happens i grew out of my gothic chocker that ppl would think it's like a harness & is used as something else when, it really isn't. The gothic chockers have 4 different sizes XS, S, M & L. But, funny enough, my Bf calls it a 2~in~1 Gothic Harness & Chocker.
Man, I'm from deep south, on the largest river Delta system in the country.. I've been around and dealt with gators my entire life.... They are my ABSOLUTE favorite animals. And I think they are some of the most misunderstood animals in the world... I've raised at least 10 of them over the years that I've found in trouble in the swamp..
Salt is such a magnificent animal.. I've never seen an albino one in the wild... I never kept mine passed 3.5 feet..
