Hard to look at the graph and see what they did, but they did something right on this one. I think I like the more affordable sets that sound larger than the others which this one does well.
Looking at the graph, coming back into audio i didn't really expect that much stuff similar to TinHifi T3+ 3 years later. Looking at Paul's graph, they differ so little it makes me want to call it "measuring variance". Still tho, "T3+" for 25$ is a nobrainer for first IEM and maybe even endgame for many who don't want to go deep into the rabbit hole of Audio. I guess some things never change and it probably makes sense in that price range as it is very forgiving/universal tuning.
Fantastic explanation! 💪 These sets are cheap enough that I got a warmish set and brighter one. Is good not to worry about EQ when music is just for playing in the background.
Original non-pro WV has a thin but decent cable. Doesn't fit the chonky shell aesthetics but it's fine for the 2% of people who don't upgrade their cables. I got a nice thick cable pastel multi colored cable, makes the muted jade on the set pop, looks amazing. Abyss has more bass which I EQ on mine, probably will still get it for the design. I like the light and dark theme and find them both gorgeous.
@Scorpioassmode have you actually heard them both? I have Wyvern and the sound is excelleny. I asked Akros/Tony and a couple other reviewers who all said they were equal. Q1P has a bit more treble energy, so if you prefer this you may think it sounds better.
Also Q1 Pro does not have better shells, they are nice but quite standard these days. KINERA shells are unique, pure art. Wyvern is chonky but quite comfortable and built solid as they come. I'm going to get Abyss just to have the set of art. They may not be your cup of tea but to say they are less than is not true.
@@someoneusa I own both. I find the Q1 Pro to have much tighter bass and a more sparkly treble presentation. The Wyvern sounds a bit too boosted in the upper mids. I don’t dislike the Wyvern, but like a lot of Kinera products, I think it is price is more based on the looks than the actual performance. I think the Wyvern sounds like a 15-20 USD IEM whereas the Q1 Pro competes with those 40USD and above. But everyone hears differently.
@@scorpioassmodeusgtx1811 Gotcha- Thanks for clarifying! Specifics as to what we personally see as good/bad are so much more helpful than just better/worse. Someone's trash is another's treasure as they say. Who the hell is they? Lol. I like Q1P tuning. I also like WV's upper mids and all 3 Conch nozzles, yet Waner's made my brain bleed. My tastes have evolved and now can enjoy a lighter bass as long as it's good quality, not muddy, not killing the rest of the sound, quick or not, boomy or not, depends on my mood and music. Too much subBASS?! Grew up on 80s booty bass in Florida, haven't come across that yet 😎 bring on the rumble! Man I'm on a roll with my rants today 🙄
@@PaulWasabii thank you for the feedback, Paul! regarding about upgrades tho, if Abyss is a bit too close, if I went for the Q1 Pro would that be a better set than Abyss in terms of closeness to the Polaris? Or the same?
I never heard the SE so not sure. Waner and Abyss are very close. Abys has slightly more energetic vocals if you like that, not everyone does which is why Waner SG was a very popular set.
Not sure about soon but I have both. S08 is ok, they seem to have went a bit heavy on the foam. Someone said make it less bright and they did. S2 at first glance, balanced like a Harman set and bass annoyed me in the first few minutes.
There is nothing gamer about it other than the Pro accessories. The signature should work and if not, you will have a better idea of what you need for performing
@@prakharanand7012 seems that's the case, I've nevr seen it with same bass. Mine definitely has more bass. I covered the vents to regular WV which increases subbass to a nice level and added a filter to Abyss which tightened bass and lowered the mids. Now they sound different too each other. Really great IEMs.
I do find myself grabbing for these over my DaVinci on occasions as they really do have a fantastic tuning!

No one shows and explains graphs like you. Thanks for that, Paul
He does a great job, so does Tony/Akros 😊 these guys have given me quite the education
Awesome 3 amigos analysis. ALWAYS excellent, ALWAYS appreciate your reviews, structured approach.
Go back and take a look at the original Wyvern, it went under the radar but it was a nice set at the time. And a bit cheaper.
The wyvern abyss
good set for the price. It's actually worth more. Love the tuning.
Glad the Wyvern fan club is turning out. Seems more now than with the original

Mine wasn't good on WV Pro but the idea was right. Kinera always does nice shells..well maybe not that Pandamon 1 shell, but the rest are nice.
@@PaulWasabii yeah that one is a real WTF 🤔
Great review as always thank you Paul. Which one would you pick between Wyvern Abyss or EPZ Q1 Pro? Thanks again Paul!
IMO there's no question that the Q1 Pro sounds better. It's a tier or two ahead in sound. Fit is better on the Wyvern shell, though.

i have cadenza already in my stock, so how does it differ from that ?
both at same price tag !!
You already have Wyvern. The two are too close.

Yes, similar to other Harman tuned sets. If you like the look or the price, it will work.
@@PaulWasabii obrigado grande sabio!
Vs Tangzu Shimin li which do you prefer
The Wyvern series are very middle of the road, perfect if you don't know what to buy.
Hi Paul, would you consider this to be an upgrade coming from CCA polaris?
I'd consider it too close to own both. Just buy one, enjoy it. Both are nice for the price. Or Edc Pro if you want to save a couple dollars

How do you think the abyss compares to ziigaat nuo.
Abyss is the safer pick unless you want a bit more upper treble which Abyss has enough.

Look for the Wyvern Pro. I believe that kit is this one: www.kineraaudio.com/product/celest-ruyi
Any word on the review for Truthear Gate?
Yeah it is done. Basically $20 set that landed midpack. I would be on the side that hoped it was closer to Hola than it is.
