    Thank you for the information. I’m potting several roses this year because I’m not sure where to plant them yet in the yard. And if they do well, I’ll keep them in a pot for about 2-3 years. I’m in zone 6b so I’ll be bringing them into my garage before the first frost. Thank you for your post

    I have a question about transplanting a rose bush can I mix in the bark mulch and Miracle-Gro potting soil together? I just bought one yesterday and it is suppose to be 4 in hight and 32 inches wide? I would love to hear your feed back. This is the first time I have ever had one

    Hi. Im in Brisbane Queensland Australia I just received in mail the Fulvic acid for my roses i just planted as bare roots 2 weeks ago in premium potting as well as 5 star soil. Im aerating the soils on top every week about 3 inch down, do they breath well. They are looking good.
    The American rose society advises strongly to Hermic adid or fulvic acid for roses, thats why I bought it. I also bought Alfalfa meal to put on top.i wont use that yet. I need research more. As
    I dont want to over fo nitrogen or I wont get blooms but only lots of foliage.
    Can you advise me? The Fulvic acid says it balances nitrogen in soil,
    How much would I use on a pot of 35cm by 35cm on my roses?

    Is it a plastic pot?

  • @andrewjohn970
    @andrewjohn970 3 года назад +1

    is the pot size matter?..i used 10 gallon if plastic pot

    • @GeoMatRay
      @GeoMatRay Год назад +1

      It does matter a lot. In a small pot would stunt the growth of plants. Having a large pot naturally makes room for more soil which in turn means a bigger nutrient reserve. A 10 gallon pot is big enough a pot for a rose plant (maybe even too big unless the variety grows to a huge bush). A terracotta (earthen) pot is better for the plant because it allows oxygen to reach the root from the outside through very small holes and keep the soil cool but plastic pots also do the job; in that case having a soil that's not too compact can help

    Actually when the repoting is essential?

    • @juliamcwilliam
      @juliamcwilliam 2 года назад +2

      When it’s become root bound. When this happens a plant can’t absorb nutrients properly
