I don't think so, I predict that the leaderboards would be almost identical to the current 6x6/7x7 leaderboards, so it wouldn't add competition or anything new to the WCA. However, I strongly believe that 15 puzzle should be added, for many reasons such as: low cost, easy for new people to pick up, easy to organize in comp, high skill cap, spectator friendly, etc.
Hey man I got a quick question. What algs do you use if you get 2 edge swap parity on this thing? I am asking because the regular alg I use messes up the centers.
There are multiple ways of dealings with edges parities : the intuitive way is to exploit the 3 equals edges of the same color by setup and doing a 3-cycle comm on the wings on these 3 edges. 3-2-3 algs of L3E could help.
