Jordan did end up get suspended for this the next game. You gotta keep in mind this is back in the days before they used video reviews. Had they used video reviews, they would have caught the punch Jordan threw at Miller. Ironically, Jordan's suspension ultimately cost the Bulls home court advantage in the playoffs because the Bulls lost the next game at home to the Knicks without Jordan and ended up a game behind the Knicks at the end of the season. Overall, though, Jordan proved he is the GOAT and still led them to a 3rd straight title.

1990s NBA was tough physical basketball you earned every point.
None of these 145-137 routine games now in today’s league.
Players didn’t hug and kiss eachother after a made free throw.
After games there were no love fests.
A player Scoring 35-40 points in today’s NBA is routine no big deal. Back then it was an accomplishment.
No disrespect to Westbrook but averaging a triple double 3 straight years would have been absolutely impossible in 1970’s through 2000’s.
    Literally impossible.
Defense back then was hard, tough, physical. Games were mostly played in the 90’s - 96-88,91-84,88-85 etc. If you opened the paper and you saw a game that was 127-118 you were like “wow!!” it must be the Nuggets or Magic’s Lakers.
League did EVERYTHING they could to promote offensive ball. Fans wanted 3’s and dunks and that’s what they got.
Today’s fan doesn’t want to see an 88-84 game full of strategy and every shot is big and guys are playing life and death defense. They want Steph and Harden hoisting up 15 3’s a game and alley oop dunks on every play.
