This is a TL;DR question that popped up a lot, and it's kind of one of our old school tutorials as well. Here's how you shop online in Korea on Gmarket!
Oh my god, you spent over $1,000 online like it was no big deal... /drools bc I want to shop like that like its no problem Living the dream, Martina. Living the dream.
This helped me out a lot. At first I was so confused about GMarket but know I feel pretty confident about buying from it. Thanks Simon and Martina! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!
Hi Martina, I really enjoyed your tutorial haha you are so cute. I'm moving to Korea soon, and I'm wondering if it's the same process to get it delivered WITHIN Korea? To order through my smartphone there, do I need an ARC?
Hey Martina, can you show us how you get your nails done?? Like, what are nail salons like in South Korea and if they're any different from those here in North America.
I really like these tutorials I think it would also be really cool if you did a tutorial on how to go about shopping online in terms of sizes and how sizes online compare to u.s/north american sizes :)
I just tried it for the first time! I was always too worried to order stuff to my place in Korea, but now I've finally done it and can't wait to see if it ends up at my doorstep haha
Thank you SO MUCH for doing this tutorial!! I have been looking at stuff on Gmarket and going *oh...* because I couldn't figure out how to buy stuff. Yay for finally being able to understand it! I love your videos and I hope I get to meet you guys someday! Midwest Nasty!~~
Simon and Martina Hi! I made a payment (debit card-foreign) but after it processed the page is not available. I wonder if the items is out of stock or I already made the payment? I’m really worried about it 🤧
Oh my gosh you guys are amazing. After seeing the diet helper shoes I wanted to buy them but was a bit nervous from ordering stuff on that site. Thank you.
Woah, I am amazed at the speed for domestic delivery! The last time I made a purchase on gmarket was like in 2009/2010, korea to Singapore took about 7working days and the delivery EMS cost like 20+ sgd for a phone casing...
This is such a great video! Super helpful and I love how you showed us the items you got at the end. The hoodie is very cute and so is Spudgy in his clothes. :)
this helped soo much with the sizing issue, being from America it's so hard to understand European and Korean sizing. That sweater Martina got would fit me perfectly like it's baggy on her but on me it'd only be slightly baggy. It's just cool to know that I could order those super cute sweaters. Usually I go on there add ones I like to my cart and then sigh and leave the website.
so true. like i ordered a signed b1a4 album from mwave and it took literally 3 months to come... so I totally forgot I even ordered it when it arrived at my house. XD
Could you guys possibly talk about different accents in Korea? I know you're not exactly...Korean, but how different are the different accents? For instance, are Busan and Seoul accents as different as British English and Canadian English? Or are they fairly similar, kinda like Transatlantic English and southern 'Murican?
It can be really different... like it's so different you cant understand anything at all from certain dialects to another. I was sitting next to some ajummas that were speaking a dialect that was from the south part of korea. I thought they were speaking japanese and i am fluent in korean. Of course I did figure out it was a different dialect of korean but I couldn't understand what they were talking about. I caught some words here and there but that was about it.
i heard some soulites have a lil bit of a hard time understanding the jeju satoori (for example so it should be fairly different. This would be a nice topic!
Wait people judge if you have a hotmail account? D: I ONLY have a hotmail account DX have had it since 2006. It gets the job done so why would I get another one?
NyanCat1907 I HAVE a gmail... but I have literally never used it O_O. Heather probably means the same thing. I think you get it by default, but yeah...
I just linked it up with my hotmail account........? I don't remember how I did it because it's been awhile DX but I do use my hotmail address for gmail. Only difference is that my password is different, When someone replies to my comments on RUclips, I get an e-mail, but if someone likes my comment I don't get anything.
I didn't know about the plus size section! Thank you! I'm totally going to miss taekbae when I go back :( It's so cheap and it's like presents everyday! I say everyday because my dormmates order a lot and it's fun to see them open stuff too.
LOL "IS THAT WHAT A GOOD LOOKING PEKINGESE LOOKS LIKE?" I have a pekingese thats like 10 by now and I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND. like, sure he has one very pretty blue eye, but then the rest of him is just lol what. love it.
Information time! yes many people do go to the ATM to pay for things but if you have a free time, go to the bank and set up your account for Electronic Certificate (공인인증서) once you set it up at the bank, you can come home and download this certificate into your pc, phone, or usb drive. ther certificate is highly secured you cannot mannually open or delete by just going into the folder (infact you will not see it until you actually have to sign in with it) Now you can pay for your things through the official website of the bank you've signed in instead of having to go to the machine. i'm sorry i can't give you a detail info since this only is a comment section.
Holy poop, Martina! 1,539,610 won?! I had to check, but that's like 1,500 Canadian Dollars! Though, now that I'm actually looking, it seems you bought some furniture items so, I guess that's not too much in the end.
Also how easy is g market if you dont read or speak korean? I noticed when you were going through sizes in the list you had to pick a color and the color was typed in korean.
fyi--if you didn't know--you can click that little round pink tag on the right side and it will book mark your location on the page, and you can just click the numbers what pop up after and it will take you right to that part of the page--but usually the book marks only go up to 10
Omgosh Martina.. u dont need to "bookmark" your selections using text editor. Gmarket provides bookmark tag on the page. See that tiny pink round bookmark tag that stays on screen even when u scroll up and down? It's very useful! I hope it helps :)
Martina you should do more videos like this just showing us you shopping online. I was like "oh thats a cute sweater"and then you liked it , its like we can shop together !! =D
Simon and Martina, you should make a video about all the scandals going on. Tell us what you both know since there are different things being said about them. Hope you see this!
You video helped me a lot, but I have a question. When the hoodie that you was planning to buy has 2 colors, how do you know which color to choose from as in term of where do they list the color on the price area? They put it in Korean so how should I find out?
I think i already know how to use this website. Already shop there before ^^ but i will watch the video anyways!!! Thats how much i love you Martina ^^
Hey Simon and Martina! Thanks for the tutorial! It is very helpful. But may I ask when picking the colour options for an outfit, is there a way to identify the colours if we don't know how to read Korean? Or do we have to know in order to pick the correct colour? Thank you very much :)
That tutorial was very helpful. I was wondering though. How do you know your size in Korea? Like shoes, shirts, dresses, etc. Is there some sort of converter you used? Also, do you buy food off of G market? Or is it easier to go to the grocery store?
Hey Martina, i see you have fan fiction in your favourites bar, do you ever use AO3 (archive of our own) to read fan fiction? it's pretty great. It's surpasses fan fiction . net by heaps these days :)
Realllllly?? I was pretty annoyed at the rating change on fanfic over the past year so maybe I'll check out AO3. I'm looking for new Loki/Jane fanfic....I read everything!!! :O
Eat Your Kimchi yeah, it's great. the whole choose four characters really pissed me off on fan fiction. it makes narrowing down stories impossible :/ it seems like everyone went to AO3 at the same time haha, theres a huge base there, it's got a pretty great marvel collection if i do say so myself ;) if you do ever venture over there the way it's sorted is pretty good :) it's a bit different to fan fiction the way its done but once you've gotton the hang of it it's waaaaay more efficient :) if the relationship you want isn't in the top 10 listed for thor or whatever just type it into 'other tags' and it will bring the option up
Hi! I had a question about Gmarket shipping- if you buy items from different mini stores are all of your items shipped together in one box or are the items shipped separately?
Another question can I buy stuff on gmart from Korea and have it shipped to America? Would it be crazy expensive skipping? I love your style and Korean style in general!
Thank you! I have been looking for a website that sells animal ear hoodies. I have a question about sizing, for jackets I usually buy either 2xl or 3xl in north american size so what size would I pick on gmarket?
Tip - There are a lot of stores selling the same items, but total price can be cheaper so shop around. Also different shops selling identical items can have very different estimated weight (can cause overpaying, though you will be compensated later). Using bookmark function to number and add notes to the items you are interested in is a good way to keep tabs, also using the buying window at the bottom of the page makes things simpler too? No need to scroll and look for your items.
Are there any differences between buyer and receiver's name? Also, what if the name is too long to fit in the box, will there be any problems if the name is cut off?
I have a question can someone answer it for me plzz so when you buy something in gmarket to ship something to australia how long is it to wait to get my shipping also i have been waiting for about 5weeks and they are not here yet but i dont know when they will get here can someone tell me
To anyone who's interested in buying on Gmarket, but you think the shipping is way too expensive (especially if you're only interested in a few things); Or don't have any friends or family who wish to partake in the spree, there is a way. Surveys! Soompi.com hosts surveys where it gathers people together to purchase on several online shops including Gmarket. It starts out with 1 person (the survey starter) who will collect the money, purchase all the things, have things delivered to the starter, and then that person will later deliver it to the survey participants. This method is a bit risky though, because you'd be sending money to a complete stranger and he/she might be untrustworthy. There is a white list thread where you can find feedback on particular sellers/buyers. That is a must do before partaking in a survey. Good luck to anyone who wants to try this method!
Do we have to pay extra once gmarket products arrives at our house if we order the products from overseas? I tried ordering it once but then came across a page talking about how depending on customs for each country there may be extra charges..? i think?
Soooo just to be clear, can you use Gmarket only in korea? I live in the USA and I was wondering if they ship to USA, or if they do but is it expensive.....
Can you please do a TL;DR on banking in Korea? I am looking to find a job there starting next fall, and I was wondering what I should in regards to banking. I have to pay back my OSAP, and figure out a way to transfer money from Canada to Korea and vise-versa. What banking systems have you used? and what worked for you?
Gmarket was super intimidating when I first checked it out, so this helps a lot. Also, I'm freaking out because you just dropped 1100 whole dollars at once.
hi! i have a question for the sizes, since i live in belgium, the sizes are named differently, so if i go to the plus sizes and go for above 115-120 korean size then do you perhaps know how big it is? since we use numbers like 38,40,42... i looked it up online and came to the conclusion of multiple and different size charts so it's confusing. If Martina would wear a 115, would it be very baggy, big, just right...? thank you! :D
So when it comes to the payment option I would have to have a Korean bank account to pay? I am not a expert at foreign online shopping. J.W.'s comment kinda made sense, but I am still unsure how to start that process.
Hi Simon and Martina, I know this is an old topic but it's something I still don't quite understand. We know that sasaeng fans are everywhere now and the things they are doing are illegal, for example; breaking into people's apartments and stealing their things, especially kim yeoshin who has been known to mix weird stuff into artists food/drinks. But why aren't these people put to jail? What has the government been doing to avoid these situations? It would be nice if you could answer some of these questions :) Thank you very much!
what if your in the u.s and you cant buy stuff on gmarket.... what other site can you buy them from??? and also im a size medium & large in US but what would it be in korea??
i want to buy a combat boots/walker heels , but it did not mentioned the width length of the shoe , some of them did mentioned but , they are mostly only 8 ~ 9 cm while mine is between 10.5 ~ 11 cm . What should i do ?
This is a TL;DR question that popped up a lot, and it's kind of one of our old school tutorials as well. Here's how you shop online in Korea on Gmarket!
Please make a android version of eat your kimchi app I really love it but it don't have on android
Thanks, very useful.
Very useful.
Can people outside korea order in gmarket? And would we pay more when it is shipped?
princeofneko12 Yes. I buy it from Denmark, and it is still very fast. But the shipping charges are maybe a bit expensive for some people.
Oh my god, you spent over $1,000 online like it was no big deal... /drools bc I want to shop like that like its no problem
Living the dream, Martina. Living the dream.
This helped me out a lot. At first I was so confused about GMarket but know I feel pretty confident about buying from it. Thanks Simon and Martina! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!

omg! Martina! i fell in love with that cat hoodie while you were scrolling down to it. glad that you bought it. its adorbs!
I just tried it for the first time! I was always too worried to order stuff to my place in Korea, but now I've finally done it and can't wait to see if it ends up at my doorstep haha
Thank you!! I'm studying abroad in Busan right now and this really helps me out a lot.
Cool! English subtitles are up. Thank you!
+Simon and Martina How do I get Gmarket coupons?
+Simon and Martina Hi simon and martina!!! May I know how do we pay if we dont have a korea bank account?
Hi,what about ordering some restricted items ike vaping ejuice,I have difficulties ordering those stuff can u tell me how to do it ,thanks.
Yay!! I've been waiting for something like this for a while
Awesome! I hope it helps!
Thank you.
I also got excited because of your Loki wallpaper, so cool!!
Woah, I am amazed at the speed for domestic delivery!
The last time I made a purchase on gmarket was like in 2009/2010, korea to Singapore took about 7working days and the delivery EMS cost like 20+ sgd for a phone casing...
Thank you soo much i love G-market, just so overwhelmed with the purchasing and selection process. Now i am ready for awesome shopping online.

J.W. Can u tell me how to pay through official website? I dont have credit card to pay😭
Oh Martina I love you for making this video
Omg, about time jeje, always wanted to use it and I think even with tutorial is going to be hard. Thanks Martina you are the best.

Aww spudgey in those outfits, nice jumper Martina. This looks very informative, i'm sure it will help alot of people out.
Omg the things are so cute! I'm still a little confused about sizing but this video help alot!
We talk more about sizing in our blog post on our site. Check it out!
Thanks!!!
P.s.
Omg!! I'm totally fangurling right now! XD
Definitely check measurements-I am not a normal Korean size and I find stuff :D
Shipping fee and Shipping locations update please. Do they ship to Canada?
Your hair looks amazing!!!
Omgosh Martina.. u dont need to "bookmark" your selections using text editor. Gmarket provides bookmark tag on the page. See that tiny pink round bookmark tag that stays on screen even when u scroll up and down? It's very useful! I hope it helps :)

Simon and Martina, you should make a video about all the scandals going on. Tell us what you both know since there are different things being said about them.
Hope you see this!
Your hair looks lovely!
You video helped me a lot, but I have a question. When the hoodie that you was planning to buy has 2 colors, how do you know which color to choose from as in term of where do they list the color on the price area? They put it in Korean so how should I find out?
Do you have to have a Korean bank account or credit card in order to pay or can a foreign bank or card be used?
You can use certain foreign credit cards. The bank account thing is for inside Korea-suoer useful.
Blu3IcedTea *super
So if you didn't have a korean bank account how would you pay for things? Do you still have to transfer the money to pay, isn't that a bit unsafe? .
LOL you guys are hilarious....i love both of your reactions to the cute dog clothing. also this was helpful!
I think i already know how to use this website. Already shop there before ^^ but i will watch the video anyways!!! Thats how much i love you Martina ^^
OMG! I was busily browsing the Gmarket just now! *CAUTION! It's addictive* lol
Hey Simon and Martina!
Thanks for the tutorial! It is very helpful. But may I ask when picking the colour options for an outfit, is there a way to identify the colours if we don't know how to read Korean? Or do we have to know in order to pick the correct colour?
Thank you very much :)
THANK OYU SO SO MUCH! I was on Gmarket yesterday and was so confused.
I've been looking for a new fanfic site! Fanfiction.net is like 90% yaoi these days >.
Eat Your Kimchi yeah, it's great. the whole choose four characters really pissed me off on fan fiction. it makes narrowing down stories impossible :/ it seems like everyone went to AO3 at the same time haha, theres a huge base there, it's got a pretty great marvel collection if i do say so myself ;)
if you do ever venture over there the way it's sorted is pretty good :) it's a bit different to fan fiction the way its done but once you've gotton the hang of it it's waaaaay more efficient :) if the relationship you want isn't in the top 10 listed for thor or whatever just type it into 'other tags' and it will bring the option up
***** I never seem to find good quality fanfics at asianfanfics....
While I use both Ao3 and fanfiction.net, I am very happy that Ao3 will not make my more mature rated fics go away in a 'housecleaning' frenzy.
"Spudgy is such a sea donkey" ahahahahahaahahaahahaahhaahah. I dont know why that made me laugh so hard, but it did.
Are you guys going to make a section on your eyk app to shop?
I was surprised the first thing pop up is Batoost's new album!!! That totally captured my attention!!! lol
I tried finding some sweaters on gmarket and the set up seems different than when you did the tutorial. Can there be an update?
yesss~~~ thank youuu~
I recently got the ddeokbokki game you both played from there, hehe~ I can't wait to get it!
can you explain more on the clothing sizes in korea?
I was so scared when you checked out! I thought you didn't notice the extra stuff D: Anyways LOVED the video
this is such a useful video! Thank you so much!
Do you have to live in Korea to buy things from this website?
hi Martina can you give more information on how sizes work?
omg i really like your hair right now! the color is really nice :)!
When you buy stuff in this site, if you wear a big sizes does it cost more?
Damn $1,000, BTW super cute clothing.
We bought a lot of cabinets for the studio. I feel bad for the delivery guy...4th floor and no elevator! BAAHAHAH!!
Eat Your Kimchi lol meanies XD
Eat Your Kimchi LOLOLOL so meannnn! But a job is a job.
Hi! I had a question about Gmarket shipping- if you buy items from different mini stores are all of your items shipped together in one box or are the items shipped separately?
Does it only ship in Korea?
Sea donkey makes me laugh every time. So many memories. LOL! Thanks for the tutorial! :D
Does G-Market only deliver to korea?
Does it deliver to the UK?
Another question can I buy stuff on gmart from Korea and have it shipped to America? Would it be crazy expensive skipping? I love your style and Korean style in general!
How does over seas shipping work? I did some online shopping in Korea before but I'm not sure about the policy to send stuff to north America.
Thank you! I have been looking for a website that sells animal ear hoodies.
I have a question about sizing, for jackets I usually buy either 2xl or 3xl in north american size so what size would I pick on gmarket?
Tip - There are a lot of stores selling the same items, but total price can be cheaper so shop around.

Using bookmark function to number and add notes to the items you are interested in is a good way to keep tabs, also using the buying window at the bottom of the page makes things simpler too? No need to scroll and look for your items.
Will your items be delivered in one big parcel or will you get them separately?
I shop on Yesstyle.com so I understood the sizing part. Free size is the best size!
are the sizes that you have in the text edit the same in north america?
Are there any differences between buyer and receiver's name? Also, what if the name is too long to fit in the box, will there be any problems if the name is cut off?
Thank you so much for the tutorial! It's super helpful!
I have a question can someone answer it for me plzz so when you buy something in gmarket to ship something to australia how long is it to wait to get my shipping also i have been waiting for about 5weeks and they are not here yet but i dont know when they will get here can someone tell me
Now that you guys live in Japan, you should do a video on the places you use a lot there

I LITERALLY DIED WHEN I FOUND OUT ABT THIS ONLINE SHOP OMG ITS AMAZING THANK YOU EYK!!!
Soooo just to be clear, can you use Gmarket only in korea? I live in the USA and I was wondering if they ship to USA, or if they do but is it expensive.....
I bought some albums in market and paid it with credit card, did the credit card pay for the fee already or do we have to pay it when it delivers?
I'm guessing they ship internationally? So they accept like MasterCard and visa right?
Can you please do a TL;DR on banking in Korea? I am looking to find a job there starting next fall, and I was wondering what I should in regards to banking. I have to pay back my OSAP, and figure out a way to transfer money from Canada to Korea and vise-versa. What banking systems have you used? and what worked for you?
how about the shipping info. do they charge for international shipping. i heard they like weigh them. is that true?
How can you find the right size clothing for your dog?
Hey Martina!~ Uhmm I was wondering if there is any way to check the pit hole measurements with Gmarket. I am plus sized so please help
Hello,
Does Gmarket send also abroad? If yes, is it sure??
Thank you for your video it's a big help
Hey Martina, are the quality good at Gmarket? Especially the clothing?
Gmarket was super intimidating when I first checked it out, so this helps a lot. Also, I'm freaking out because you just dropped 1100 whole dollars at once.
hi! i have a question for the sizes, since i live in belgium, the sizes are named differently, so if i go to the plus sizes and go for above 115-120 korean size then do you perhaps know how big it is? since we use numbers like 38,40,42... i looked it up online and came to the conclusion of multiple and different size charts so it's confusing.
Lol 황금희 에스테딕 in the background. Great tutorial, Martina!
