MONIKA is hands down the BEST dance instructor. I didn’t think I would be able to learn virtually because I struggled so much with watching RUclips videos to learn how to dance. I paid for her online program and it was one of the most influential purchases I have made in my life. She has changed my dancing, my confidence to dance, my excitement to learn more about dance, and I would 10/10 recommend her for ANYONE!

Omg thank you Taylor 🥰 I so appreciate you being in my program and I honestly hope you will stay for a loooong time until I pass along all my moves to you 😄 YOU ARE AN AMAZING STUDENT, thank you for trusting my method 🤍

Positively delightful, this and many others I've seen. I'm 75 and the bane of my "social life" was that I couldn't dance! I've done aerobics, can dance on skis and rollerblades, but not simply "on the floor." Where were you when I needed you!!! Love your demos and explanations. GREAT TEACHER, as I was for 25 years in elementary school. After my last sixth grade dance, one of my brightest students came up and told me, "Mr. G, you dance like a girl!" I then discussed her report card (kidding)...

A wee bit of advice from a 40yr old ex 'party-gurl' ... Learn the moves, practice at home all evening, even film yourself while at home, what mum n i used to call 'the livingroom disco' then do it all while drunk at home in ur heels, clubbing clothes etc - some moves you may then chose not to do in certain outfits.
When you are ready to take your moves out to the clubs, forget everything and simply let the music move your body, let the music guide you, learn to hear the beat (like how some drum their fingers/wiggle their feet) let it be instinctive. If you care too much, it will show. It will be the wrong move for the music etc
Dancing sexy was natural for me, but i taught my mates for whom it wasnt
I imagine anyone watching these vids can end up being a perfectionist and that will get in the way. If you are not enjoying yourself, it's not worth it to fit some sexy ideal. Often it is the conversation more than dancing that will get you the attention you desire. The most successful person i knew at pulling guys had 2 left feet and couldnt dance for toffee, but her conversation was on par^
Take latin styles of dance classes, or if you are lucky enough to have access, bellydance and/or burlesque.
Finally, never wear heels you cannot run in outside your home (avoids breaking ankle from wet slippery pavements), learn how to handle unwanted attention, how say no with grace and firmness and KNOW YOUR BOUNDRIES^

@@valiaudet3415 Drinks spillage on the dancefloor is bloody AWFUL. I have seen signs in clubs saying drinks are not allowed on the dancefloor, but I still always see people doing it. It is so selfish, and very inconsiderate of the dancers who want to DANCE.

I believe if someone is having fun, it doesn't matter how they move. It's fabulous, because isn't having fun as much as possible what life is about. The restrictive comments about what's "good" and "bad" is very not fun and I feel this would inhibit a person. I am a singing teacher, dancer and musician and I would not want to think that anything is "wrong". My opinion is that what someone thinks is not 'good', is simply "their opinion" and not good or bad. Let's pretend that good or bad doesn't exist. Let's leave out the judgment from our self expression and learning and replace it with discovery and experimenting to find out what the individual likes and enjoys doing with their self-expression ... That's my opinion.

I have never taken a dance lesson. I won first place in a Hip Hop competition, I entered for the prizes and won. I don’t compete with anyone I just love to listen to good music and dance.

I'm sure "her" being alone with no music doesn't help, maybe dont practice alone with only a mirror. Maybe try to fake some friends instead of being mean on the internet. Be more confident in yourself you, probably won't be rude and awkward your whole life"
