From my notes: The failure test focuses on David's response after his sinful encounter with Bathseba. He responded to failure in a God Honoring way (repented, prayer, and worship through the failure). I didn't get the scriptures they mentioned in church but 2 Samuel 12 talks about the rebuke and how David repented.
