Have had the edp for a while and love to wear it but it's hard to find a suitable occasion, just got the edt today, it's wonderful, simply beautiful, like eau sauvage mixed with a diluted Jaipur edp, an everyday wear for sure, my wife immediately said how good it smells and not to buy anything else! For this price and quality it's an absolute steal, great reviews I'll be look for the one about the ingredients test. Keep up the good work, no need for gimmicks, just keep it the same.
I blind bought the EDP and to be honest the very first time I smelled it I didn't really understand it. I don't know how to explain it. But then only a couple of minutes later I realised that this will be my signature scent. I liked Armani Aqua di Gio in my 20s, then in my 30s I really synced with Mugler A*men. And now (still in my 30s) I'm really really into Jaipur. It's somehow somewhere between A*men and Aqua di Gio, scentwise. I have plenty of other EDPs and EDTs, but they are all dependent on a certain mood, while I can wear Jaipur every day. Oddly, I've noticed that it actually smells great in the heat as well, and mixed with sweat... It,s F***in' seductive! Really amazing perfume, I can't recommend it enough.
Ramsey, fantastic comparison vid; enjoyed it immensely! Regarding the EDP, it definitely has a rich, dense, enveloping aspect about it. I think you have to have been in the game a short while to truly appreciate the beauty of this one. It definitely stands apart from the usual designer fare. IMO even though it’s cheap I’d say sample the EDP first because of that powder aspect.
This Jaipur EDP scent was the first scent I’ve ever bought blind, maybe 2-3 months ago. I am very new to owning more than 1 fragrance at a time (own 5, one of them a travel spray). All bought within a year. First reaction when I smelled it, was I’ve never smelled anything like this. I now think of this as my preferred work scent. The powdery scent was first I ever encountered, initially some shock. Now my nose loves the total scent experience. I use it in a small cool temp workplace, and is my first thought for this fall and winter. Very happy with it, a class scent!
@@nicholasthomas5810 I ordered from Maxaroma; while the picture showed EDT, the write-up and what arrived was the EDP! I didn't notice until I already unwrapped and test fired it, so I just kept it as a back up. So I haven't found any EDT anywhere larger than .5 oz size. (Thats from Jomashop)

Always considered it the mature parent of Mont Blanc's Presence; but in one word, "alluring." Despise the cap, adore the fragrance. Great shout out to Annick's work Ramsey.

Hello guys, greetings from Lithuania good smelling people! :) I own Body Corous, old bottle, and you know, thru these years l have sprayed this on me only a few times, it is so hard to find an occasion for this juice :( Encre Noir is the best, Sport one also. I will have a Jaipur ETD bottle in a few days and will decide do l need an EDP :) just a thought-citruses of Boucheron last man, serious, l have ETD botle of Boucheron Homme and it is crazy how prominent and long lasting citruses are in this juice! I dont know how they do that :D good video man, got yourself a subscriber, greetings! :)
Boucheron Jaipur EDT es maravilloso, uno que aun se consigue. El Kenzo l'elephant for woman (totalmente unisex)recoge también todo eso especiado de Jaipur y lo eleva aun mas en intensidad.
Hi Ramsey, great video, I really enjoy both the edp and the edt, I wear the edt more for work. Personally I think the current Dior Fahrenheit formulation is pretty good.
Thanks for the kind words... i have never smelled the newest versions of Fahrenheit but I have an 89 bottle a 96 bottle and a 2014 bottle and to be honest I love them all.. all 3 are amazing 😊
I think the reason these 2 are not that common is because they are spicy and complex, which the masses don't appreciate. I have the edp which I enjoy because it lasts on me for hours and hours. I need to check the edt now.
Hey Ramsey. Still kinda brutal on the French but I need say that I launched the Jaipur homme in the 90's at SFA and if you could smell that! Reformulation demon, albeit light, still has had its way with this! take it easy.
As long as people can understand which perfume I am talking about I think they get the idea... but the people who are here for a French Lesson will be dissapointed 🇫🇷
Have been wearing it for a few hours now and I get exactly what you mean by the clock stopping on the edt at the mid of the edp sort of sandwiched between the opening citrus and florals, you can definitely get the geranium and rose, a hint of jasmine and the earthy patchouli in the dry down, a remarkable composition, and like most of these types if you re apply, it just gets better and better! Reminds me a little of Giorgio Beverly hills for men which has a similar three part scent, also a classic imho, if you've haven't tried it, give it a go it's like a time machine back to when givenchy gentleman actually smelled good! The patchouli in is really strong and makes it stand out from the crowd #rogerandgalletl'homme , try this also.
I have a vintage bottle of Giorgio Beverly Hills for men its one of my favorites & I do get a similarity to Givenchy Gentleman EDT from 74' .... thanks for watching & adding to the conversation 😊
You're lucky, the modern one is strong, I can only imagine how rich the vintage is! What about Roger and gallet, it's a really undrafted house on my opinion, Open is a real bargain, I have a bottle of l'homme, the brown one, it's really what got me into fragrance when I found it in a pharmacy on holiday, smells great! The new one is called l'homme patchouli but it doesn't have the sparkling opening of the original, once a cheapy, but when gone, it's too late! Now going for silly money on ebay but that's always the way!
Yep..this is one of those older classy perfumes that if you put in a Tom Ford Chanel Hermes etc etc bottles people wouldn’t bat an eyelid of it was being sold over a hundred pounds/dollar’s
I am from Europe, back in the day when it came out, also the normal Boucheron they were very expensive, way more expensive as Guerlain Habit Rouge for example or Chanel pour Monsieurr. 50 percent up! Giorgio Beverly Hills was also very, very expensive, double the price of Chanel!
@@RamseytheRam its a strong leather scent almost like ombré leather but softer almost vanilla-ish with iris and cedar heart & some incense. Honestly might make this my signature scent 🙌🏾
@@RamseytheRam i was able to pick up a sample at northpark mall. They had like 14 bottles left hopefully they still have one when i get paid lol. They said its not normally sold in the states but the store was “exclusive”
@@RamseytheRamJust watched the list in your cheapies video, but haven't seen Rochas Femme in the list. It goes for 30$. Isn't it worthy of a respectable spot in the list in your opinion?
@@RamseytheRam Thank you for the "reformulation" info. Do you the reformulation is in this case was necessary, because CD felt that the tastes of late 2010th became different (?) The fragrance community feels always very uneasy of a reformulation, because they think their favorite scent is going to vanish in the form as it knows it.
It is definately possible... but he reformulated lots of the prive line like feve delicieuse or Leather Oud at the same time... not sure why he did it ... leather oud is a good reformulatuon I would say.. feve on the other hand 🤷 mehhh I will wear Bois d'Argent soon and give everyone my 2 cents 🪙
8&Bob. Ok Ok, Eight & Bob. Got a couple from The Pharmacy in Florida. Looks like I'm sold on both. I had one Jaipur. I think something was wrong with the bottle, or me. Greggieboy did a review of it a few years ago. I believe he said masculine, but when I got it, it seemed very floral. It might have been the edp. Back then I really didn't equate florals as masculine, but I've changed. Gonna go to Ben's page and bug him,
The eucalyptus note in Creed Royal Mayfair turns that fragrance into a disgusting blast furnace of grandma's mothballs. An absolute unnuanced use of a strong note. Similar to Jean Claude Ellena's use of cumin/caraway in Cartier Declaration. Anyway, I have Boucheron Jaipur and I like it a lot. I have lots of "cheapies" that I love. I just bought Pierre Cardin Pour Homme for $21 and I love it!
I also love Pierre Cardin Pour Homme! It is the grandfather of some of my favorite patchouli fragrances of all time like for example two years later came Givenchy Gentleman & then in the mid 80s came Giorgio by Giorgio Beverly Hills & then in the 90s came the 🦆s favorite... Pavarotti...i see a connection between all of them.... there is a video in that you know 🤔 Maybe one day I will do that video! Maybe today! However for the record I disagree with you on Royal Mayfair .. but thats par for the course for us isnt it James 😅🤜🤛🏽
@@RamseytheRam In my review of Pierre Cardin on Fragrantica I compared it to Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne, classic Old Spice, Lauder Youth Dew and CK Obsession for Men (Spicy Amber connection), as well as Elizabeth Taylor Passion for Men, and maybe a little bit like YSL Opium Pour Homme. It was love st first sniff for me. Easy on the nose. Unlike...... Royal Mayfair and Nishane Sultan Vetiver are camphorous mothball blast furnaces. Yep, our noses are calibrated differently. Challenging = bad to me.
Try and see if you get any of the givenchy gentleman from 1974 in it... there may be hope for you yet afterall 😂😂😂 I am just kidding of course... taking the piss as the brits say...fragrances are like colors & everyone is allowed different opinions 😊
@@RamseytheRam I have Givenchy Gentleman 1974, and sorry to say I get no similarity of it with Pierre Cardin. Givenchy Gentleman to me us a "pissy", dry, old-school mid-century gentleman Cologne type scent profile. Dry, pissy and astringent. Yes I get the patchouli and honey, but I have to concentrate past the pee accord. I respect Givenchy Gentleman 1974 much more than like it. It's a difficult reach and can only wear it when I'm in that very, very rare mood. Like one day per year at most. It's in my historical collection between Jovan Musk and Chaz by Revlon. Pierre Cardin is a sweet, easy reach for me. Totally different even if certain notes are shared. The context of any shared notes and the way they manifest seems totally different to me, but I haven't sprayed them side-by-side. BTW, I just placed an order at fragnanimous.com, which you vouched for.
My first time smelling Jaipur was like 12 plus years ago and idk if it was edp or edt the person was wearing but I don’t think I smell the certain scent in the edp. I’m thinking it was the edt because it is more floral scented?
What are the note differences? I check perfumo and fragrantica. Perfumo shows the same notes and fragrantica seems to be missing some. Is Heliotrope note in both edt and edp? I’m trying to find the certain scent note I like in the edt but can’t figure out what it could be.
Higher prices can be higher quality, but it is mostly what is in style. Sadly, some reformulation include more alcohol or notes that are formerly based on organic ingredients are now synthetic. Too many introduction comments here. Can we get to the matter at hand. This is a too long two-fer video.

@@RamseytheRam I got a mini bottle.. I was hoping if that formula was the same as in the newer releases of the EDP
That i dont know ... maybe check with Rich Mitch on that front
Got the EDP (frosted glass) in today.. the vintage (silver sided bottle) is soooo much better and different. Not that this isn’t nice.. but I’ve been spoiled with the original vintage one. I’d try it if I was you
Hi Ramsey! Excellent video! 🙌 Bvglari Black has long been in my Top 10. I really need to do a study of Annick Menardo’s other work! 👏👏😀😀❤️❤️
PS - doing my own side by side (wrist by wrist) comparison today: vintage vs. contemporary Feminité du Bois. Big differences!
Yes I would LOVE the original Shisedo version of FdB.... they are so rare and expensive though... i am just glad to have the bottle I have 🙏
Hello guys, greetings from Lithuania good smelling people! :)
Thanks for the sub & welcome to the channel 🙂
Boucheron Jaipur EDT es maravilloso, uno que aun se consigue. El Kenzo l'elephant for woman (totalmente unisex)recoge también todo eso especiado de Jaipur y lo eleva aun mas en intensidad.
Yes I have a bottle of L'Elephant for women and it is amazing...thanks for watching & commenting 🍻
Good day bud. Have you tried the 2006 limited edition. Amazing
No I have not 😳
Hi Ramsey, great video, I really enjoy both the edp and the edt, I wear the edt more for work.
@@RamseytheRam Just checked the batch code 9G01 which I believe is 2019.
Honestly that is what Demachy excelled at... reformulations... IMHO 😊
I think the reason these 2 are not that common is because they are spicy and complex, which the masses don't appreciate. I have the edp which I enjoy because it lasts on me for hours and hours. I need to check the edt now.
Just BLIND bought EDT based on your reviews. $41 on eBay.
Great value for $ you will love it 👏🏻
@@RamseytheRam Been loving it for the past two days!
What cologne has the tonka and benzoin and cardamom scent of this but without citrus and florals?
Hmmmm I am not sure ... if anyone knows leave it in the comment below
I do have open and open black.... both amazing ... but I have never smelled L'Homme 🥺
Yep..this is one of those older classy perfumes that if you put in a Tom Ford Chanel Hermes etc etc bottles people wouldn’t bat an eyelid of it was being sold over a hundred pounds/dollar’s
Absolutely agree... thanks for watching & commenting 💪🐏
Its crazy what a quality perfume you can go for so little money now a days... thanks ao much for sharing & watching & commenting 🤌🤌🤌
Went to diptyque and they have a bottle of “Eau Rihla” and its SOO good and no one seems to be talking about it.
Never smelled it... whats it like??
@@RamseytheRam its a strong leather scent almost like ombré leather but softer almost vanilla-ish with iris and cedar heart & some incense. Honestly might make this my signature scent 🙌🏾
Wow high praise... I do really like Leather & Iris...its one of my favorite combos 😬
@@RamseytheRam i was able to pick up a sample at northpark mall. They had like 14 bottles left hopefully they still have one when i get paid lol. They said its not normally sold in the states but the store was “exclusive”
You should make a video about ranking the best "bang for your buck" perfumes.
I have done that! Look under my Not a top ten RANKED playlist for the "cheepie" video 🙂
@@RamseytheRam Will do. Thanks.
@@RamseytheRamJust watched the list in your cheapies video, but haven't seen Rochas Femme in the list. It goes for 30$. Isn't it worthy of a respectable spot in the list in your opinion?
Hello Ramsey, according to fragrantica, the nose behind the Bois D'Argent is Francois Demachy.
Greetings from Vienna, Austria
Francois demachy reformulated it in 2018 give or take... but the original Creation is an Annick Menardo from around 2004 👍🏼
Thank you. Indeed. Never stop learning! 👍😎
Ya Demachy claimed credit for lots of the old Dior Prives when he reformulated them in 2018. ... not a fan of that behavior TBH 🤷
It is definately possible... but he reformulated lots of the prive line like feve delicieuse or Leather Oud at the same time... not sure why he did it ... leather oud is a good reformulatuon I would say.. feve on the other hand 🤷 mehhh
I will wear Bois d'Argent soon and give everyone my 2 cents 🪙
Gonna go to Ben's page and bug him,
Ahhhh i miss Greggieboy ... wish he still did videos... get the EDT if you have the EDP currently... would love 2 get your take on these Eddie 🍻
@@RamseytheRam Ben might be coming to your channel. Not sure why.
Ever smelled boucheron boucheron (launched in 1988)? Would be curious to hear your views on that.
Unfortunately I never have 😔
I’m pretty sure you would love it
I will put it on the to sniff list 😊
Is it any similar to moschino uomo (which i have) ?
None...not to my nose anyways
Pavarotti...i see a connection between all of them.... there is a video in that you know 🤔
Maybe one day I will do that video!
Try and see if you get any of the givenchy gentleman from 1974 in it... there may be hope for you yet afterall 😂😂😂
I am just kidding of course... taking the piss as the brits say...fragrances are like colors & everyone is allowed different opinions 😊
@@JT-rx1eo Nice! Lee is an amazing guy ....he will do right by you 🍻
Is the vintage edp of this better than the edT version of this
I would take the vintage EDT over the EDP personally .... the more I have worn it over the years the more my thoughts have changed
Have you tried estee louder for men ?
Sure I have a bottle.... it is okay .. not my favorite tbh 🤷
I honestly think the EDT smells better. The spices and florals are better blended.
I have come to really appreciate the EDT even more since I made this video .. i think its my favorite version of Jaïpur Homme 😎
Are you thinking of Imaginary Authors? They present their fragrances in boxes that look like books.
No I was thinking of a perfume by the house of Sorelle Fontana called If for Men
Anyone know where I can order Jaipur Boucheron EDT?
I have the EDP. Would like to have a EDT as well
I got mine on ebay or from Anooj at Enchanteperfumes
I’ll look, in a short description between EDT and EDP what are the differences
My first time smelling Jaipur was like 12 plus years ago and idk if it was edp or edt the person was wearing but I don’t think I smell the certain scent in the edp. I’m thinking it was the edt because it is more floral scented?
What are the note differences? I check perfumo and fragrantica. Perfumo shows the same notes and fragrantica seems to be missing some.
Is Heliotrope note in both edt and edp? I’m trying to find the certain scent note I like in the edt but can’t figure out what it could be.
I don't think the notes are different I just think it's executed in a different fashion... the EDT that lemony citrus really stands out more 🍋
Higher prices can be higher quality, but it is mostly what is in style.
Sadly, some reformulation include more alcohol or notes that are formerly based on organic ingredients are now synthetic.
Too many introduction comments here. Can we get to the matter at hand. This is a too long two-fer video.
The matter at hand? What are you talking about?
