My heart missed several beats seeing Annika so close to the open window on the train ride. Of course she is safe in her mom’s arm. Putting that aside it was a joy hearing Annika say ‘munki’ and her doing a dance. Beautiful family. Hello mom!
The train ride and the views are magnificent, feels like you are being transported back in time. Wow your homestay was so tranquil, what a great find!! Annika playing peek a boo with the Chef at the kitchen pass was so sweet. Thanks for sharing 💞
There's definitely something very nostalgic about Indian train rides (especially this one), even though I have no history with them. :D Vinod tells me wonderful stories about riding trains in his childhood :') I think Annika will remember Indian trains fondly too!
I had the ocassion to travel in this kalka Simla train during 1989 while I was working in New Delhi.Every Indian should travel in this train to see and enjoy the nature of India atleast once.It is like Switzerland.Quiet marvellous.Top of the hill train is moving.Train with open window .No word to express the beauty of Simla Queen.Foreiners are more and enjoying the trip.
It is the most beautiful very close to my because I grew up in for almost 12 years of my I remember mall road lower Bazaar mashobara and Chadwick falls I went to school there and lady Irwin and Portmore used to live in Summerhill and my dad used to work at command office the head office and we used to take train every day I remember kalka mail very well the most beautiful train ride we used to come to Delhi every year for 12 years to visit our and and used to travel by kalka mail I am talking about 1956 - 1968 and Shimla was very clean and very less congested I went back there 10 years ago it's really bad now but I still love it I live in Canada past 50 years but Shimla is still my favorite place very close to my you must have really I watch the video very carefully to the end because I relate to everything where you are going may God bless you and your whole family always
It is always worth it to visit outskirts rather than the main tourist spot specially in mountain region.....n home stay is the best option...... happy to watch you relaxing and enjoying your trip... Annika is always find her own way to enjoying the vacation...... stay blessed all of you ❤️.....
I like the simplicity in you, Johanna. You always seem to be light and easy - you're creating a wonderful atmosphere for Annika's well being and development in every sense. Keep it up! She does the twists and dances whenever and wherever she feels good 😂😂😂😂. Hope your mum enjoys all the trips. A very simple and humble person too.👌👍
Oh thanks you so much! You’re too kind, but it means a lot 🙏 i can assure you that i’m not even nearly always light and easy, today has been an especially challenging day for example with all my work deadlines pressing on and struggling with Annika’s bad day on top of that! I have been cranky all day. But we are doing our best to give Annika a loving and happy home environment just like you said and of course I do try to enjoy most days. Just wanted to share today’s reality considering that the biggest struggles rarely get filmed 😊
Great to Stay away from the vast humbug of Shimla town. Watch out for those window with Annika. It's dangerous, she is peeping out. You must be exhausted from the journey, but take care. Photos and videos are secondary, safety first.
Darling baby doll Annika is just too adorable 😘😘🥰❤❤ Your videos or rather 'vlogs' are very beautifully done Johanna.... From the photography, to the music, to the editing and of course the Wonderful content 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😃 Great job Johanna👍🏼👍🏼☺ Very classy. And I just Love all the effort you put into telling us the history and whatever information you can about everything 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼, too good! I really LOVE❤❤❤ your channel Johanna, and both your families 😍🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼🌷🌻🌹God Bless You all especially baby darling Annika😘😘😘 You should ask Nina to come to India on a holiday!
Just wow! That cottage and surroundings are an absolute must visit area. I could sense how content and relaxed you actually were. I wish Nina was along with you guys. It's mesmerising to watch how the landscape changes according to the geographic areas.
So good to see Annika playing & exploring now that she has much more mobility. I can't help but think about your sister & Mom's partner back home in Finland as they surely must be following her experiences in India with great enjoyment. It's so wonderful that you & Vinod are able to show your Mom such a fascinating part of the world Johanna & instill indelible memories. Sending much love as always. ❤.
We’re hoping that my sister gets to visit us here next year 🥰 she misses Annika the most! But for her we will plan a very different visit when the time comes! My mom is a surprisingly adventurous traveller 🥲❤️
That train ride spectacular, you captured a beautiful shot a sideview of yourself and the sun glistening on your face, so pretty Shimla what a beautiful place I can also feel the peace and the views 😍...and course love Annika saying her own name😊
Hi Johanna so glad to see you are all well, your train journey was really very pleasant and I'm sure your mum enjoyed the scenery of the mountains. Thank you so much for sharing this unique and beautiful city of Shimla.🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤
It's so cute that Annika sucks on the train. How cute you were mother-daughter. Annika is a total mascot. How nice, How well she said her name, Annika! How lovely she said “Monkey,”. She is very sweet. What a beautiful place where you are, lush green. You welcome your mother well. You are giving your mother unforgettable memories. You are a good daughter. She must also be a good mother because she has raised a nice person like you. Please convey my regards to her and say my congratulations on this. Our elders are very valuable to us.
She is a mother who did her best, which is what I want to be too 🥰 AND she loves reading comments in my videos so she will most likely read your kind words too! 🙏
Johanna, just found your channel today. An absolute pleasure to find someone who both has such a pleasant outlook and is so intelligent. Hope life in India always keeps blessing you with every joy.
So beautiful view of Shimla, nice train journey, it's a beautiful video with your Mom and again very sweet sweet Annika❤️❤️, always love to see her in your excellent captures
Nice photo of Annika n yourself looking out of the train ☺️ Reminds me of the travelogue Anthony Bourdain did in the same train ride..it was so picturesque too👍🏻. Tq for the glimpses of the Himalayas. I miss that the most frm my travels to India...the serenity n peace filled mountains n sylvan environs. I m sure going to watch this vid several times 👌🏼
Like the way u travel.. No strict schedules.. Relaxed and peaceful.. Enjoying every place.. Slowly.. When i usually go on family trips they have this strict itinerary.. We are always trying to finish seeing a place reaching the next.. It just kills the purpose..
A strict itinerary might be ok if we were at any point travelling with a tour operator or such who has arranged everything for us. But otherwise the slow travel is much more enjoyable and a good balance to the hectic work/parenting life :)
I rode it in 2005 on my school trip....I was the youngest kid on that trip maybe because of that I didn't understand its importance....but this video made me fell in love with the view 🥰.... Thanks Johanna
Yes we observe every word she says and she has known how to say her name even long before this video 🥰 she just often doesnt talk quite as much to the camera as she talks to us though 😄
Nice to see kalka, mashobra❤️💜💚💙i belong to Chandigarh staying in Chennai.... remembering all the good memories of Himachal and Chandigarh You have done great choosing mashobra...it's really very nice
Take care of annika the train window is open that s what i am saying she jumps out of the window, vinod ji app ki sasuma absorving every thing it's lovely 🌹.
Lovely train ride. It was fascinating watching Annikas different expressions of wonder as she took in the beauty of the hills and dales, also the way she was curious to know what was going on in the kitchen. Thank you.
What a beautiful place!! Shimla and Darjeeling are in my 'to visit' list for a long time - thanks to Ruskin Bond's books, I have fantasized quite a bit. I hope you mom liked the place, despite slight inconvenience. Lovely vlog as usual.🙂
Parle G is yum no doubt. JoVi’s baby is so cute that I want her to be my brother’s son’s girlfriend. He is 2 and absolutely cute and Annika and him would look adorable cute together. But we live so far away from you. I hope someday these two meet in future ❤️🥰
Wowwwwwww!!! That was a visual treat! I feel like I just went to the mountains with you😊 definitely a good idea to leave Shimla and head to the quieter more remote outskirts. A few years ago, after a nightmare of what I thought would be vacation far from the madding crowds we realized we had landed up in even more chaos and noise in Shimla and decided never again!!! Maybe it's quieter off season. Anika peering into the kitchen chatting with the cook was just adorable💕
Soooo peaceful yet not so much in reality.. we took ooty toy train with my son few months back and i tried hard to put him to sleep so that i could enjoy the view.. that never happened! My son is 2month younger then annika.. but i thoroughly enjoyed and grasps all the beauty of the journey here.. so thank u🥰😍
Once I read an article by Santosh Desai in Times of India which was titled Television from an Idiot Box to a Smart Gadget.
