The biggest concern with auctions and “stacking your stuff” on the side is that there are a lot of sticky-fingered people who think they can take whatever they want. Same for buying the contents of shelves or cabinets - other people start picking through & taking things.
My mother had a collection of Japanese dolls and some other Asian dolls, and occasionally I would give her a "good" one. After she passed away I took the ones that I had given her and a couple more that I was with her when she bought them, but no one really wanted to buy any that were left. My kids took a few as mementos, but most ended up being donated. They made her happy while she was with us and that was all that mattered.
I have a lot of your videos to catch up on. Hopefully you will be lucky and the weather will hold out. This looked like a clean and organized auction. Hope you recharge your bank account and add more with sales from this merchandise.
Taco, you need to buy a "down" filled jacket. They are much warmer and lighter. Also get some of those hand warmers and feet warmers. You will be much more comfortable on those cold days!

I’m 98.4% positive that the pottery marked with USA with the larger S, is McCoy or Brush/McCoy. During different time periods, they marked dish gardens and pots with attached saucers with USA only, often with the USA on the face of the piece of pottery, incorporated into the design.
You need to get a GoreTex jacket, they are light weight but work like a champ. I wore my GoreTex in 5 degree weather with a sweatshirt and stayed warm for several hours doing an inventory in the mountains.

OMG … all the bowls and dishes! I love dishes, although I have 3 sets of china to get rid of because they were my mom’s and grandmother’s and not my style at all. I love the really old 1930’s china from Franciscan made in California. The original maker came from Wedgewood in England and started his company there. Fabulous china!

Taco. For hornets. Take a paper bag. Crinkle them up. Stuff them with plastic bags. Gather the end together and duct tape shut. Hang them around areas where you get wasp. Hornets. Bees. Will keep them away. Keep out of rain
I really like the religious statues you got. Religious statues are so expensive online and in religious stores. Yours look like they are in good condition. I’ll bet you’ll do well on them. Love the auctions, maybe you could do a video on unboxing them

WOW! I just bid and won some items at an auction. I had to pay the price of the lot, 10% buyer's premium, and then tax on the total 😳 How refreshing it is to hear about an auction that doesn't have all those hidden fees! Oh and I do have to take everything that was in that lot even though I bought it for just a few items.
interesting how different auctions are whether it be the auctioneer or location, haven't seen a true auction/auctioneer in years, seems everything around here is now "estate sale businesses" they come into the home, price everything exceptionally high so they can pay themselves, oh and make money for the family, charge tax because they are a business and call in a dumpster for what doesn't sell and charge the homeowner for the dumpster....or perhaps it was just the business we dealt with doing dad's house

When you're buying contents in a garage or cabinet keep an eye out for R12 REFRIGERANT people pay up for that stuff. It's better if the seal is not punctured. 20.00 plus a can.
When you are selling that much stuff it makes sense to do it in those lots. Otherwise, it would take forever, but I wouldn't want to have to buy a bunch of stuff I didn't really want. Some of those oriental items might be worth something, but the number is too overwhelming.
The Japanese dolls sell new here in LA for 35$ a few years ago.. You just got to find the right buyer. Usually people buy a lot of 2 geishas and put a plant with them.
It always looks like there's so much more stuff like what's in the cabinets, for example, than it looks like what you have in the van. How do you do that? Lol!

Sounds like the auctioneer got burned too many times with bouncing checks or too many credit card fees hence the reason for cash
