    Been called "sped" as a child and still as an adult. Ive been told i got aspergers but that was when i was a teen. Im still socially awkward and just weird in general, so maybe i rlly am in the spectrum, tho i wanna get it checked again someday.
    Also i do sympathize with those that are autistic, tho to be honest... it took me a while to understand others who may be in a different part of the spectrum than me, and in the meantime, there have been times when i reacted the wrong way. Deep down tho, as someone with autism and woth an autistic brother, i get how it feels not to fit in, and be laughed at for being yourself, or presenting your struggles or disabilities in front of others.
    Genuinely tho, this video really resonates with me. I've felt all these ways my whole life, always struggling to fit in or understand people, even had this question in my head for so long: "whats wrong with me?"
    Ive matured from that mindset and understand that there is nothing wrong with me. God made me the way i am on purpose and for a purpose, and even if I have autism, im just as capable or anything as anyone else is, and thats the mindset i want to encourage others with. God bless ❤

    I know I’m not autistic, but I have always felt like I didn’t belong with many crowds.
    Often quiet until I found something to talk to people about. Not usually the one to instigate the conversation due to a sense of awkwardness.
    Talking to myself when I was younger where others around me didn’t.
    Feels like I was living someone else’s life that was supposed to be here instead of me.

    It is difficult for adult women to get ASD diagnosis due to how biased the DSM-5 criteria is in favoring male presentation of autism. Not accounting for how autism presents differently in females than males. Plus the huge cost to get a private assessment is out of reach if your an adult woman from a low income background. They need to change the DSM5 criteria and cost for assessment to make it more accessible for undiagnosed ASD females to get a diagnosis and supports needed to live a life in a world not built for our ND brains.

    I am like 90% sure I have aspergers, I have researched a lot about autism stuff to the point I'm almost sure I have it, plus most of my friends are diagnosed autists, and even my mom who was set on telling me I don't have anything, thinks that I have it. I even have like a weird physical tick thing where I like fling my hand around and flick my fingers back and forth really fast and they clap against eachother, I also used to one hand clap with both my hands, and I've had that stuff since I was really young and it happens whenever I'm excited or something, that stuff has been happening since before I even knew what it was, when I first learned what autism was I was like "why does this seem kinda relatable" and then when I learned what aspergers was my brain like clicked and I was like "I'm almost certain I have this", I was also late to speaking as a kid and my parents also thought I wasn't gonna have a dominant hand because I was super late to choose, I'm also very sensitive to sound and touch and really hate toddlers and babies, they make me want to stick my hand through a wall, I was also born a month early with an underdeveloped lung. but also I know enough about autism to know I shouldn't just self diagnose, if I am to get diagnosed I want to get a professional diagnosis, so I can be certain it's autism and I'm not just like r*t*rd*d or placeboing myself into thinking I have it.

I tried to tell everyone that it was the first time in so long that I felt like I belonged perfectly and that someone finally 'understood' my weirdness. Sometimes at the gym or the store, I feel like an Alien! It feels like I no longer have anything in common with people and it feels like everyone sees me alone ALL the time and they think I'm weird and maybe I am... but thank you for your always helpful video 🫶

    I don't know if it's a good idea to share, but yesterday my own mother said that Autism is spreading now more than ever, and compared it to cancer because (In her view) they both stem from unnatural things we ingest & take in. But at the same time said that she loves that I have it like it's a super power. It was really uncomfortable. But, this video helped.

    Yeah, there's no doubt in my mind that I have undiagnosed autism (along with ADHD and bipolar disorder). I always felt different from the crowd and say, do or think things out loud that put me in unpleasant situations. I even spent my school years in the special ed program. Not to mention how I have a childlike attitude or demeanor.

  • @Nyxaniel
    @Nyxaniel 34 минуты назад

    My parents went to therapy because of my strange behaviour. The output was, there are high chances I have high-functioning autism. Like in my childhood I learned to recognize local fishes and birds, the unability to make decisions quick/without help, the like to do routines and be engaged in things extremely fast and intensily, hating loud noises, and now I am a passionate programmer with a superstrict daily routine on school days and on weekends and I hate many smells. And I really always relate to the weird/probably characters... I know I am really weird to other people but they didn´t say anything. But my mental health is pretty well I would say.

  • @Eaglelicious
    @Eaglelicious 37 минут назад

    I was diagnosed at 11, 25 now, engaged, 7.5 months pregnant, college graduate and engaged to a PhD Gradulate from the Middle East. Hispanic / Irish Conservative female
    This is my 2nd time finding love & to this day I struggle with keeping good friends but have no problem finding love... I have a couple of close mommy and party friends now but my female friends tend not to last so I always expect the worse but hope for the best!!
    I lost all of my best friends 2 years ago and most recently my 4th one due to politics LMAO
    I had people secretly ask me if I were autistic, I was asked "why would anyone wanna date you" at 16 (I recently called that guy out and blocked him). I was told that at age 20 I should not be doing stuff with men since my mentality was at age 12 and 12 year olds shouldn't be doing stuff (even though I've met 5 women who swiped their V-card at 12). So yeah I swiped mine at 20 with the same man I'm with today.. loud & proud lol. And no he's not autistic lol.
    I'm also told I'm too smart, too social, too coordinated, or too pretty to be autistic,,,,
    I debunked every myth about autistic women growing up, people cannot tell I'm austistic until they get to know me. I am currently in a paid Internship by the Government for Journalism as I am very interested in learning about both the Entertainment & Animal world.
    I also was Top 8 in the nation for Cross country & Track in College.
    Ponit is I proved everyone wrong... You should too.

    Speaking as an autist who was lucky to be diagnosed early on in childhood, I find that society is indeed too strict when it comes to social norms. Those norms were created by the neurotypical population which is in majority. Because they are in majority, they are at risk of getting the idea in their heads that they don't have to account for neurodivergents, which of course is false. Shrining neurodivergent equality in law and 'helping' neurodivergents with social skills is NOT ENOUGH. Neurotypicals MUST in turn greatly relax their social norms if they are to ever meet neurodivergents halfway. Otherwise neurotypicals will continue to cause unnecessary stress for the neurodivergents due to their unwillingness to compromise on social norms.

    Shame that I live in Australia where, unless you have blatantly obvious signs that something is wrong, there is nothing wrong with you go be a normie. The fact that I am also hideous means that I've lived my life an outcast and even with a diagnosis (might be difficult to get since mental health professionals are not abundant compared to other western nations), I'll always be an outsider.

    I'm not autistic but I did relate quite a bit when I was younger because I had gender dysphoria before transitioning
