I may be wrong, but I believe that Toby was the first of all the anglers in this season to show that he wets the measuring board before placing a fish on it. Good job, mate!
What a gerate Competition. Is the best fishing mastership that i see. And it's helped me to a time, where i can't fish like i would. I came out of Hospital today and real fshing have to wait till Februar.
Allez Sylvain, montre qui commande!!!!! Après le street fighters tu peu remporter perch pro!!! (Mal barré qan même, ça ressemble a une mission impossible...)
Those perch from Nays sure look the best out of all the teams. They look much bigger then they actually are. Especially the perch from Sporting and Gunki look so much smaller. Even though they are catching so much more I would rather catch a couple of those Nays perches!
I get that Illex/Gunki are in for the numbers but lifting 40+ perches out of the water just to save 2 seconds is not cool. This is not how big perches should be treated. All the other teams are using their nets, so should they.
@@captain_jullian I mean there is one kilo of fish hanging from a single point in its mouth with it's entire weight on it. And in my experience parts of the mouth like the Maxilla are fragile. Therefore having a net in the boat and then not using it just seems ... I dont know... a bit lazy and careless. Of course I won't tell you what to do because you have caught more perch than I ever will but seing it always rubs me the wrong way
@@captain_jullian for me it is the wrong way too. You are a realy great fisher and it is alway interesting to hear you talking about tactics and these things. But you and your partner are handeling the perches really careless. Please remembere that you are idol for many other fishers, they will see this and do the same. Team sporting is able to win this competition even if they handle the perch with care...
@@MadDaCube if you pay attention sometimes we do use the net when we need. And again after testing for many years in past compétition and keeping them in a livewell for hours we did not see any dammage on the fish . To be even more precise we also conduct some experiment privately, by stocking alive for weeks in a pond many perch caught with lures. The purpose was to test diferent types of handling generaly used in tournament and potentialy see the result by studying damage or mortality. Maybe i did this because I am also educated in fish farming with 6 years of study and 9 years of practice. The résult was really positive with almost 100% of survival after a few weeks of stabulation before the release. But I am convince that our experiment was also positive because our gesture are precise and quick. And more than using a net or not you should execute the technic you master the most and consider always using the one that take the shortest time. That will be my advice !
@@captain_jullian Thanks for providing some insight. I now see that you are very considerate with your chosen method and that a lot of thought and technique went into it, so it is probably not as "careless" as I first suggested so my apologies for that. However I agree with what the person above me has written. A lot of young people are watching who may just copy what they see but without having your "precise and quick" gestures and sense of judgement. So maybe it would be better to just use the net for demonstration purposes? I don't know... It's a difficult topic. All I know is that I fish in frequented areas and regularly catch perch with partly damaged mouthes. So that is where my worry is coming from. Anyways thanks for the background information and the great content.
