Is it worth buying cheaper sponges for Aerogarden/iDoo/MarsHydro/Hortuzz/etc.?

Don't hesitate to buy cheaper sponges. They mostly work just fine. You may need to take care of some issue here and there.
The cheaper sponges I showed in this video are out of stock for a while and I don't think they will be coming back. So, I switched to other cheaper sponges and here they are amzn.to/47NZ33D

Rock wool is great and cheap

Yeah, I use rock wool too pretty often. However, it involves a little work cutting it to correct size (not a big deal, though). It also breaks down a little bit. So, I am slowly transitioning to these cheaper sponges.

I watched the video thinking it would compare all the sponges listed. You're not saying what brand you bought. All you did was show the bag. How is that helping?
