Soap Queen TV by Bramble Berry I know you're saying to call but I won't for such a basic question. if you're able to... my yellow beeswax pellets smell so strong.. following regular recipes and even adding more essential oils still ends up smelling like beeswax which kinda grosses me out.. Is this normal? because beeswax doesn't taste great on lips. No problem if you dont get around to seeing this.
Nice Video. One question, start of the video u mentioned some lip balms use the ratio of 1:1:1 for wax, oil and butter. I want to know if i do need to use butters how do I change the recipe above?
Just wanted to say thank you for all you teach us. Soap making has always been my creative me time which is something I treasure. My ex husband never let me watch your videos. I remember having to use headphones but sometimes it wasn't enough. To this day I don't know why he was like that but it doesn't matter now. Im now with someone who loves me and all my projects and supports my ideas. Your videos are amazing and bring me happiness.
Hi Angela Noble! Thanks so much for your feedback! Flavor oils are fragrances that are approved for use in lip products. Fragrance oils are not approved for use in lip products. Bramble Berry has both sweetened and unsweetened flavor oils. You can find out more in the Sunday Night Spotlight: Flavoing Oils post: www.soapqueen.com/bramble-berry-news/sunday-night-spotlight-flavoring-oils/
I'm so glad you didn't tell me to go get a Revlon lipstick and cut out a section to color the balm, or worse, yet, use crayons to tint the lip base. LOL. That would have been so ghetto, and actually what you find on RUclips nowadays. Your presentations and all your ingredients are superior in quality and professionalism. I am a loyal fan and customer.
Hi Emily! I'm not exactly sure! You may be able to find those online. We also carry them at brambleberry.com. =) Lip balm tubes: www.brambleberry.com/Lip-Balm-Tubes--P3024.aspx
Hi theroadrunnermeep! You can absolutely leave out the avocado oil and add more sweet almond oil. It will change the texture slightly, so you may want to do a small test batch to see if you like the results. Also, leaving out the colorant will not change the consistency. It's purely aesthetic. =)
Hi Riddhi Aharwal! You can use extracts in your lip balm as long as they're lip safe. Each extract on brambleberry.com will say if it's safe to use in lip products in the description. For instance, you could add chamomile extract at .5-3%. =) Extracts: www.brambleberry.com/Extracts-C28.aspx

Hi Sierra Cuba! I'm not entirely sure! I would recommend buying the ingredients from brambleberry.com. They are specifically made for cosmetics and work great every time. =)
Hi Soap Queen..thanks for the great video! Could you please specify recommended temperature right before filling the tubes? My batch had divet holes so I used a heat gun but it didn't fill in the holes at all. It just melted a big amount from the top and still left the divet hole. And a few balms looked like they cracked. Not sure if it's a temp problem or what I'm doing wrong.
Anne Marie, thank you for your videos. I see you have quite a bit of trolls making fun of your set and production. You're taking it all quite well and being very professional in your comments. I would suggest turning off the comments for now because the one's commenting about "looks like the 70's" aren't really helpful. I love the set! You can use a blow dryer. However, it will not get as hot as a heat gun, so the results may not be as consistent.
Look how far she's come❤

Could I substitute the bee wax for soy wax? Or another type of wax?
hey i love yr vid .... how long do they last though ? coz they dont have preservatives .. they all natural ... how long before they go off ? i am thinking of making them and selling them u see x
Hi Belinda!
These lip balms should last a year or more. Also, because they don't contain water, they don't need a preservative. You can read more in the Talk It Out Tuesday: Preservatives post: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/lotion/talk-it-out-tuesday-preservatives/
Great video! Super informative and cute!
Could you use soy wax as a substitute for the Bees wax? What about using an old lipstick melted down for color?
Typically soy wax is a little softer than beeswax - so you may want to use a little more of it so that the lip balm isn't too mushy. Tinting your lip balm with a touch of pre-made lipstick usually works great! They usually melt down and mix in easily.
I love your Ida
