    Thank you for saying that about the quality of the drivers if they put behind the will with all that safety stuff that is why they are all automatics nowadays poor training and everybody has a license

    Speed limiters cause drivers to run the limiter instead of condition which is not good.

    • @DrivingWithDon
      @DrivingWithDon  Год назад

      Exactly! They just create dangerous conditions out there on the road...like we needed more of that!

    Hey Don thank you for stepping up, these rigs are not a joke, you're carrying 80,000lbs underneath you, training only 4mo. Does not make you a driver

    The ones with governors and the ones with new and/ or foreign drivers in them

    I think a lot of it is the insurance companies and FM CA. And the new drivers are clueless. I retired seven years ago after 24 years on the road and do not miss it at all and now I know why I have blood pressure problems. Good luck to y’all.

    Finally somebody who gets it and says so. This FedEx stuff slammed on my breaks 2-3 times causing the back trailer to leave the lane into the adjacent lane. Steered me onto an off ramp because the old construction paint lines is where the autosteering took it. Nobody beside me so I was able to correct it before hitting the jersey barriers. Buzzes and dings consistently, fails to work in snow messy roads but the dash is lite up and bright warning you automation is off, can't see shit with the glare but takes multiple inputs into the computer to discontinue the warning bright glaring dash warnings. Fuck this shit and you are WAYYYYYYY right about these new drivers.

    It didn't take me but a few months to just chill out and use my cruise control. The load will get there when I get there.😊

    Oh and how many times the BRIGHT red warning Collision warning with screaming audio came on scarring the shit out of me when I don't see anything in front of me. I think that is just designed to scare you out of being sleepy. Auto steer fights your inputs until you just give up and then nothing to tell you that if you aren't going to fight me I will just stop working but not going to let you know.

    All drivers should know trucker talk that by simply blinking your head lights you're saying to the driver that you're passing, just saying 😉👍🙏

    The dangerous one is the idiot in the right lane that won't let off for 2 seconds

    • @DrivingWithDon
      @DrivingWithDon  Год назад +1

      I agree a lot. But at the end of the day, it's not really his responsibility to slow down for a few seconds. But if he/she had a courteous bone in their body, they would!!!

  • @granddad-mv5ef
    @granddad-mv5ef Год назад +1

    If a truck has a limiter it should be restricted to the right lane. PERIOD.

  • @recgar
    @recgar Год назад +1

    Even a governed truck can slow down. If a driver's getting passed it won't cost him to slow about 5 mph to allow the passing truck to get on by. Then everybody's happy. This is just pure stupidity and ego. That's what makes it dangerous.

    • @DrivingWithDon
      @DrivingWithDon  Год назад

      Yep. I say by the time they kick their cruise control off, and then kick it back on, the damn truck will be past them!
