Great explanation! Thanks. I just want to say I love the magnetic plate, and if worse comes to worst and it doesn't hold something where you want it, just use a little piece of washi tape to hold it in place, and you're good to go. Cheers!
I can't believe how much SSS and Scrapbook charge for the magnetic plate $90. Michael's carry the magnetic plate and their price is $40 and I can use my 60% off coupon. TFS. Not very many tutorials on the vagabond.
I don't use my vagabond enough. I think I need to move it to a more easily accessible location. I just turn around and use my Big Shot. Obviously I need to rethink craft room arrangement. :-)
Is there a printable chart somewhere that shows what plates to use for each type of item... thinlit dies, embossing folders, 3D embossing folders, etc.? If so, where can I find it?
My platform doesn't mention the Impresslits embossing folder. You didn't mention the sandwich for the Impresslits embossing folder either. Could you please list it? I was trying to use the Sizzix Birthday Cake Impresslits embossing folder earlier & it almost jammed in my Vagabond 1 even though the sandwich fit in the Sizing key set that is for the Vagabond 1 to avoid jams.
Hi can you help me I’m confused I was gifted a ga vagabond, but it didn’t come with any tools. I want to use the embossing folders what platform do I need to get? Please help TIA
Hi I just found your channel and it's very helpful. My question has to do with a Tim Holtz die that is a small rabbit and bow. There are magnets on the back and they are too think for my Vagabond 2 and to big for my big shot. Oh I tried adding another plate but it jammed in the V2 and I have a serious indent in my cutting plate now, but everything I try is either too tight or too loose. Any ideas you have would be great.
Hi Chris, I think you have the movers and shakers die for which you need the case; I have checked and they are retired but ebay does still have some I found this blog post that might help you www.scrapbook.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/1573187/
just a thought or iguiry?? i know your video is 3 years old but why can't you use 2 precision plates. you would never need to buy cutting mats ever again?? they are the same width. ive done it in my vagaond 2 and no issues
Yes but that should happen automatically if the die has that function. If you want stronger embossing then use the sandwich in the video I just mentioned
That was fast...lol What I mean is I was hoping for more of your useful videos. I was and am disappointed that you didn't show the Big Shot Plus since that is the machine I use. But since you are here now, can I use the Sizzix Bigz with the BSP? thanks for getting back to me...
I misundestood. I thought you said you had a BS but preferred the vagabond. Okay...thanks for making my day with being able to use my BSP. As a newbie to the cutting world, this is helpful.

Very helpful info.
Thanks for sharing this video using the Vagabond, I have never actually seen one used. Its huge! LOL
Im wondering if it scales out wrong, its really no bigger than the big shot, maybe even smaller as its folds up!
Can you please tell me the sandwich you would use with the vagabond and Chrome precision base plate?
Can a self healing cutting mat be a substitute as cutting plate for vagabond electronic machine? Thanks.

I just checked it out at SB.com the regular one is $35 its the extended big shot plus one thats $90
Thank so for this video! Now I know why my dies jump on the magnetic platform lol. I always wondered what was going on with it 😊
Mr HH did explain the physics to me, apparently its obvious! However, I still prefer the traditional mats and tamiya tape
What type of plug adapter do I need for use in the UK on the vagabond 2 🤔
I don't use my vagabond enough. I think I need to move it to a more easily accessible location. I just turn around and use my Big Shot. Obviously I need to rethink craft room arrangement. :-)
I think so I love mine so much; it's such a time saver!
Thank you for this videoMy question is Can it work with all types of cutting does other than Sizzix or Tim Holtz cutting die
I do not know how to emboss a die cut on the vagabond 2. What combination should I use? Thanks in advanceA mitchell
Do you mean embossing with a die rather than cutting? If so this video will help...ruclips.net/video/vEFbqOxgK5k/видео.html

Usually the platform has instructions printed on it (or a sticker taped to it).

How do you use thinlet dies in the Vagabond?
You will need the thicker sandwich with the base plate, thinlet die adapter; hope that helps

Me again. When I tried to open thelink you gave me re embossing with the vagabond, I get a message saying No results were located ??
Try this, i just checked and it should work ruclips.net/video/vEFbqOxgK5k/видео.html
Can I not do a diecut and then emboss just the diecut
Yes but that should happen automatically if the die has that function. If you want stronger embossing then use the sandwich in the video I just mentioned
wax paper or quick release die paper by couture creations will stop you from ripping your die cut!!!
Normally I use the brush but of course when it's out of reach and then you are live everything goes wrong!
Love you
Thank you
Please take more time with your videos. This one was especially irratating. But I still thank you for taking the time however speedy.
Im not sure I understand what you mean about the speedy as it was happening in real time?

Yes the sandwiches are interchangeable with any big shot machine, I don't own a plus, I have a regular a vagabond and a pro.
