Man it blows my mind it’s okay to bypass musicians because you don’t have access .. doesn’t that mean your musicianship isn’t up to par ? I feel like programmers are different than musicians . Just blows my mind it’s legal !
hey bro, dope video. i really like this style of video u been doing for the last several months or so. I still love to sample but i cant lie in my journey of trying to go legit with the overall sounds i use; i've tried to stray away from it. For me at this stage i do it more just to have fun with. what i like to do now is harbor on an idea from a song and try to make a hybrid of it " if u will". change the instrument, transpose the notes, ect ect.. when i was younger (b4 i started making beats) i would always ask myself "how would I have done THIS different". I try to keep that in mind
I appreciate you watching bro! I stopped focusing on the amount of videos and how often to put up videos and that changed everything for me. I stopped trying to feed the “algorithm”. I do something similar most of the time. I sample and also will add my own instrumentation with vsts. It’s all about having fun! I used to ask myself the same question.
I love sampling. I'm familiar with Tracklib, I was going to participate in the Dave East sampling competition, but I never knew how the clearance process works on there. I want to sample the old fashion way with the vinyl records, but I ran out of space in my studio lol. Nice video, you should make more of these. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to hear your insights on other topics such as your opinions on type beats, original beats or your thoughts on the beats in modern-day hip-hop. Just a thought. Keep 'em coming, D! - J
Thanks for watching bro! Yea I actually enjoy making these kinds of videos. It’s a lot of work but in the end it’s worth it. It’s only so many beat making videos and tutorials I can do. Lol I may talk about the type beat thing one day. But, sampling is a lot of fun. Tracklib has a simple process on clearing what you sample. I appreciate your input!
@@DDS825 no problem, brother. It’d be nice to hear your input on those kinds of topics and I know how hard it is to film them. I have a few ideas in mind that I’d like to film but it takes a lot to cover those topics. I might have to get back into sampling with Tracklib. Thanks for the info, brother.
Hip hop was made from sampling people can say what they want to say about it. But sampling isn’t going anywhere. People complain about sampling but nobody complains about a singer covering other peoples music. Sampling is taking a fragment of a song but covering song takes the whole entire song and don’t change anything out of it. Smh 🤦🏾♂️ it’s just music sampling is music in the end of the day.
What are your thoughts on sampling?
Sampling IS creative.. Not everyone has access to talented instrumentalists. Chopping samples is an art of itself.
I agree with this 1000%!

@@nickwatland3565 if you play a melody you hear in your head and I program a melody I hear in my head… Are they not both music????
@@keithwalter506 if you program it it’s legit for sure . I’m saying people using samples , it’s not the same thing at all. Using others work
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for watching! 🙌🏽
I love sampling old vinyls no matter what comes my way 🔥
It’s like a land full of new discoveries lol
Keep up the good work DDS 👊
I appreciate it! Will do!
Fl studio got the best stem separation hands down when it comes to audio quality , serato sample is pretty good too
I’ll have to check it out in FL Studio.
Isn’t it still in beta?
@@palimo3653 Yeah its still in beta I use it don't have any problems
@@palimo3653 I’m not sure. But if you own FL you might be able to get it still.

Sampling so that it sounds good is not easy.
