OMG Laura ! What baby boy talks like that? “wonderful”! And his reaction eating the berry is priceless! Adorable little man with beautiful blue eyes like his mama! Enjoy every moment.❤️
At that age, they parrot a lot of what they hear so he must be hearing the word wonderful a lot.
No wonder Benjamin is so sweet, he is made of sweet berries.
not an ornery beef-eatin' walkin while fartin sorta fella lol
Love Benjamin’s adorable little hip wiggle while eating blueberries. Such joy, such innocence, such connection to nature.
Laura and Aaron are raising the next generation gardeners. What a wonderful legacy they will have to enjoy.
I love the way the new property is evolving. And of course, seeing Benjamin’s delight in the garden is a bonus! 💕
My favorite was when he was carring the water can to water and at the very end they high 5!!!💞💞💞
@@BrittanyS143 I didn't see the watering clip? I looked at second time and no?
@@tonyaperry4763 no hun it was in a older video, sorry I did not specify
@@tonyaperry4763 fpund the video, Feeling a little behind on planting my home containers!!! Its at the very end, it comes on after she ends it.
@@BrittanyS143 oh, no need to apologize. I just thought you meant from this video clip of Benjamin.
I simply misunderstood.
I think I know the video you are talking about.
You have a great day.
Watching Benjamin how he interacts with other people really is heartwarming. What is he 3 1/2 going on 20 LOL? It shows his kindness sharing his blueberries and saying thank you, it shows your wonderful parenting skills. I also believe his vocabulary is way beyond his age group
He’s 3 and a half. Times gone so quick.
Children who spend a good deal of time around adults usually have good vocabularies.
And also because Laura and Aaron never spoke baby language to him. He's developed a strong sense of expression and adventure... I wish I was 3 yrs old again...
Hello Karen
How are you doing today
Love the look of the galvanized metal and the black fence and mulch.
I love it too. The combination is very calming.
@@RLSCS 🌱 I didn't used to like the look; but, it has grown on me. I think that I will invest in one just for strawberries and herbs!!🌱
I'm not a big fan. It looks too "farmyard" to me.
Edited to fix a to/too/two typo. 😀
@@Bamboo4U2 🌱That's what I thought first. However, I am reconsidering it, as I see it being used everywhere. I would not place it center on the garden. It would be to the side, where it would not be an eye sore. I like it for the functionality.😏🤔
@@mariafolch8067 it reminds me of a farmyard animal's trough, lol. There's no "romanticizing the ordinary" to that image. Heh.
Laura inspires me every morning to get outside and get busy. Good morning, everyone!!
I find I get up, make coffee and watch Laura. And then I go straight outside to the garden. As hubby and I go into work at around 10.30 am (we're cabinet painters) it helps me get to spend time first thing in the garden. I spend more time outside than I do inside and there I am at my most happiest. And inspired because Laura simplifies information for us. I think also that gardening has now overtaken my time to paint on canvas, which is something else I need to address. I am behind of getting these done for any applications to art galleries. But as we all know, nature doesn't wait for anyone, and neither do weeds lol. So yeah. Going outside now. Yesterday we had a super rain storm here in Kansas City, Kansas. I am just thankful the roses are still intact and not obliterated by the hail and winds.
Hello Cynthia how are you doing
My heart melted at Benjamin’s appreciation and kind spirit. Lord bless his beautiful soul.
Coffee and Laura. Great Saturday morning.
Oh I'm doing the same thing Linda but its a cup of tea and its 9:15pm here in Sydney Australia
Me too over here in Toronto Canada 🇨🇦
Laura, I work for a third generation berry farm in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. Blue Crop variety is our best mid-season wonderfully flavored and large blueberry variety. For an earlier variety, plant some Duke Blueberries. You'll have blueberries for at least two straight months if you plant just those two varieties. Blue Crop are hearty, but all blueberries do need enough daily water in heat but will suffer from root rot in water is allowed to pool in the root system.
Benjamin’s reaction was adorable, but he stole my heart when he asked, “Wanna try one?” .... melted!!!
“Wonderful” ♥️♥️🪴🫐🍓 he really has my heart.
Smiles
How are you doing today
Everything is coming together so beautifully. You guys are amazing. Benjamin is just so adorable. 🍓
You have such a great heart which is manifested in Benjamin’s heart! When he said wonderful I smiled so big! He’s such a loving sweet little guy. God bless you. ❤️
Hello Debbie
benjamin is so adorbs. such a sweet and intelligent kiddow. i think Benjamin is around fertilizer so much he is growing fast.
‘Wonderful’! My reaction when I open RUclips and see a new Garden Answer video posted. Benjamin is just a doll. I just wanna hug his sweet soul. Just shows he has great parenting and influences in his life. 😘
Benjamin's reaction to the blueberries melted my heart! "wonderful, you wana try one?". Such a sweet, well mannered young man!
This spot is going to be Benjamin's favourite... We will see him out here in July eating his favourite berries and for sure that will be a delightful thing to watch
True and Laura won't have any to make pies and jams with.
I love the way the galvanized tubs look against the black fence ! Good choice !
Laura and Aaron, this channel is amazing. I have learned SO MUCH! But may I say, you two are doing a great job with your wee ones. Benjamin is such a precious boy. I can't wait to see Samantha Grace running around with her big brother, picking berries and loving life on your beautiful property.
Oh my goodness what a sweet beautiful heart❤️. He is so cute ❣️
He's such a giving soul. He reminds me of my oldest son at that age🥰
What a sweet boy you have raised! Such a wonderful gardener he will be too! Such a joy he is!
So fun watching things slowly evolve into your dreams. Beautiful! 😃🥰. I think I can safely say from all of us how much we greatly appreciate you sharing your life and dreams with us. You and your family are so inspiring on so many levels. Thank you. 🥰
Thank you for covering blueberries!! I have 3 Duke variety and we live in zone 8 (Salem, OR). Pruning has always been a mystery and so looking forward to that video. Mine have been loving a thick layer of sawdust each year added to the top as a mulch. They are prolific producers.
I like the trough idea. Lots of deep root space in those. I live in Colorado where we also have very alkaline soil. I grow my blueberries in half barrels that have been placed in the middle of 15 inch tall, 4'x4' raised beds. I fill my half barrels with a mixture of peat moss and perlite, then I add some greensand, soil acidifier, and espoma berry fertilizer, fish bone meal, and kelp meal for nutrients. The raised beds are filled with regular raised bed potting soil and planted with strawberries. To winterize the blueberries I have PVC pipe arches in the beds, then I wrap the blueberries lightly with burlap, and drape Dewitt Ultimate 2.5 oz plant frost protection cloth over each raised bed , attaching the frost cloth with pvc clips. This system protects the blueberries for the extreme temperature shifts that we have here in the Front Range region of Colorado. Before I started using the Dewitt frost cloth I would loose most of the branches the first two years that I grew them. Now I have thriving plants that are about 3.5 feet tall. One other note. I put back, perforated plastic weed block on top of the blueberry barrel soil, and then cover that with a mulch of compost to keep their roots moist and cool. I hope this helps anyone who wants to grow blueberries in the mountain west region.
Maine girl here! I’m so glad you planted some Patriots, they were developed by my alma mater, the University of Maine. I have some too!
The tubs look so good there. And sweet Benjamin is adorable. He will have plenty of fruit to keep him happy
I love it. Beautiful Laura.💜💕
Benjamin is adorable!🫐🫐🫐 “Mmm Wonderful” 🫐🫐🫐 He warms my heart! 🥰
That clip of Benjamin and the blueberries absolutely made my day. So lovely.
I never liked blueberries until I tried some blue crop blueberries from my best friends’ in law’s blueberry farm…. Oh my gosh…. SO. GOOD. Immediately went out and planted 6 bushes of my own. You will so enjoy them!
oh my word. Benjamin melts my " mom heart" thank you Laura and Aaron for sharing your beautiful family moments with us.
Hello Roxanna
How are you doing today
OMG, Benjamin just stole the show…that is one of the sweetest Lil fella’s ever🤗♥️ And as always I really enjoyed the video.
The amount of education that Benjamin is receiving is priceless. Thank you for feauturing my comment on your recap video. Made my day!
Such a sweet little guy - just like his Mama.
A couple years ago I planted 6 blueberry bushes in containers and I have to say that they are beautiful plants for most of the year. We’ve had a wet spring and they’ve definitely appreciated the extra water… packed with berries! Benjamin’s “wonderful!”… cuteness overload.
You guys are doing such a “wonderful” job raising that sweet little boy. His speech and vocabulary is amazing. So cute! 💗
“Wonderful!” He’s so adorable. I look forward to the pruning video. I don’t think I was aggressive enough with mine this year. I have seen some people do a late summer prune so I’m not certain which way is best. I guess it’s sort of like pruning flowering shrubs after they bloom.
Benjamin " oh wonderful" bless his sweet little heart 💕
Hello everyone! Have you ever grown tayberry? They are great. A combination of raspberry and blackberry that grows really fast and doesn't need care. I recommend every body to grow them. Love from Romania 💚
Sounds wonderful!!!
So I looked them up. And they sound amazing!! may need to think about putting one in.
Tayberries do taste amazing! Would also recommend them to be tried. If not sure, see if any of your local u-pick farms have any and give them a try.
The same crossing is called loganberry in Canada. Salutare din Canada! ☺️
Now you have me singing, "you're my sugar pie, honey bunch" and I cant stop, have it stuck in my head🤣
Snookum hookums, you're my sweety pie.... Benjamin is such a sweet little soul
🪴Good day to all. Coffee in hand tastes so much better while sharing time with Laura and all friends watching. But adorable Benjamin steals my heart every time! So much wonderful information as always Laura. Have a lovely weekend everyone 💚🧚🏻♂️
Benjamin is so adorable! What a kind soul he has. That sweetness and beautiful blue eyes are going to create lots of broken girl hearts some day 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
🤗QUESTION, QUESTION, QUESTION…Have you ever thought of doing a collaboration with Jack Barnwell on the new property? I think two Proven Winners spokespeople working together would be EPIC!! Even if it was designed in stages or pockets.
Laura, I thought I had strong hands, but you proved me wrong. The ease you have putting those couplers in, my word! I have 1/2 inch and they are SO hard to get in. Maybe it’s the brand difference, but holy moly you’re strong!
My family has been wanting blueberries for a long time. I think I want to plant them just like you did because it’s perfect for our situation as well. Thank you!! I’ll go back to last years video to find the troughs.
Keep up the great work!
Benjamin, adorable as always. He even shares with momma💚🙃
Before long he will be sharing with Samantha Grace.🍓🫐
The picture from the new camera is AMAZING! So crisp and bright!
Ok I am just loving the black fencing, dark mulching and upcoming plants...Ur right when publishing to the public..looks matter and with plant knowledge..its a complete package 💯❤
Aww you are always providing answers. I went straight to your channel to specifically figure out how I’m gonna plant blueberries and strawberries together and there it is you are amazing..
You know she's a professional gardening with no "fancy" gloves. Also, showed the cup instructions and she just poured it in because she already know how much is a cup. LOVE IT!!. TRUE GARDNER RIGHT HERE.
Benjamin's little cameo in this video stole my heart ! He's such a sweet thoughtful boy - a true testament to both yourself and Aaron's parenting skills !
I loved it when Benjamin said wonderful. He is so sweet 💗
The new property is really taking shape. Beautiful. The blue berries will be great. Benjamin is so cute and makes my heart melt, you both are such good parents.
Laura, I learn so much from you. You are fearless to try new projects and new ways of doing things. You inspire me to try so many things that I wouldn’t otherwise. Love watching and I look forward to all your videos. Keep doing what you do, you inspire us.
I was able to get strawberries to produce well interplanted with blueberries in 4.7 ph soil. The problem, according to a blueberry expert, was that the strawberries almost did too well and competed with the blueberries. I also have mixed feelings about using peat moss, though I have found that it works better for the ph.
Love seeing how your place is coming together! Always so inspirational to watch your channel. Question: Do you ever have to contend with bird pressure with your berries? I did a couple of small strawberry containers this year and can’t keep the birds away. I ended up making a cage to put around each. Just wondering if you have to contend with this issue and what your approach is.
This post is for Benjamin. You really know your strawberries. I'm in love with PW's Berried Treasure Strawberries thanks to you and your mom. I planted 6 plants this year and they're producing berries like crazy. Thanks, Benjamin. 🍓🍓🍓
It is testimony to your wonderful parenting skills that lovely Benjamin, while savouring the newly-ripened blueberries, thought to offer you one. So touching!
Goodness my heart. Benjamin is such a joy, thanks for letting us see a snippet of his life :)
Benjamin is such a gentle, loving soul and you both are doing a wonderful job guiding him. Maybe you need an extra tub.
I need to dig up my blueberry bushes and put them in containers as we have barely gotten any berries the last few years so thanks for the info! Benjamin is such a sweet little guy, he melted my heart when he offered you a blueberry!!!
I need to do the same so my mother does not have to bend over to pick the blueberries.
@@ladweeb1798 Yes! That's another advantage to growing in containers, only problem is keeping up with watering. Unless it's hooked up to irrigation of course
Benjamin ~I can hear Laura in his response to the blueberries! Children learn what they live.🥰
Awwww Benjamin's so delightful !!! And so considerate sharing with his momma ☺️ sweetheart xx
Omg Benjamin is so cute!! Lucky little guy
Good morning from Windermere, Florida zone 9b
We grew blueberries in North Florida zone 9a several years ago and loved picking from our 16 plants.
Now that we are in Central Florida we have several upicks to choose from in April and May. They do make a pretty little shrub that drops it's leaves in the winter. I think planting a couple might be in my future. Thanks for the inspiration, Laura 💕
It would be such a treat to watch you make blueberry pie! Thank you for sharing your time.
All that camera stuff must be a headache at times, but the end result becomes such a genuinely nice and joyful part of my day. Thank you to all of you!
I just planted 2 pink lemonade blueberries and 2 small wild blueberries very small plants so I cannot wait to see how they do in ground. Thank you for the container alternative if need be. I hope my Grandkids will have some blueberries to enjoy this year as Benjamin has, he is such a sweet boy🥰
Oh, Benjamin!!! "Wonderful!!!" Adorable! Laura, I LOVE your galvanized tubs along the black fence. The PERFECT addition to the orchard. You and your gift makes me smile!!!
Hi Laura! Benjamin will be so happy when the fruit starts to ripen. The clip of him eating and sharing the blueberries was so cute. Thank you so much for sharing!
🫐🍓 Yum! Benjamin said it all - wonderful. He’s such a sweet boy and he appreciates all the good things y’all grow. So nice to be able to plant in loose soil. I love blueberries too!
Watched the video this morning… by 4pm i was at my local garden center and am now the proud (plant) mama to 2 beautiful blueberry plants 🫐🫐 thanks for inspo and info Laura!!
Laura the constant joy on your face is infectious!!
Thanks for sharing your video! Your garden is beautiful. I’m a gardener too and I’m researching all the things I can grow in containers. I’m happy it led me to find you. I’m so happy it did your channel has so much to offer! This is very helpful. Thanks for teaching me something new. I hope we can learn more from each other as we grow our gardens and our channels! 💐🌸🌺🌻
I love where you planted these! Benjamin has the sweetest heart. Mmmmm, as his eyes roll back, wonderful…would you like to try one? 💙Please catch some pictures of his reactions on an evening walk.
Cool!!! "Don't tell Benjamin, he'll eat them all!" 🤣🤣🤣
Benjamin is the perfect example of Laura and Aaron. Wonderful is an awesome word to describe your family. You are such a blessing to us, you have NO IDEA of the impact you are making on so many. God Bless. Speaking of God, He is watching your family saying wonderful as well.
Your boy is so incredibly precious 💖!!!!! God has truly blessed you!
Do you need to drill holes in the metal containers? I would like to purchase 1 from a farm feed store. I just bought 2 varieties of blueberries and 2 varieties of strawberries. I thought originally I would inner plant in my hydrangea bed but I saw this video and love it. Hoping you see my question or somebody else can inform me whether I need to drill holes in the metal containers.
Thank you 😊
So interesting and fun cameo of Benjamin and blueberries 😃
It is very wise of you to have a number of good edibles growing on your own property these days. Organic food. Good also for your children. I love your inspirational videos.
What a gift to see the small clip with Benjamin's reaction to the blueberries and sharing with his mommy...he is such a sweet, sweet little boy. My strawberries are looking amazing- thanks to Laura, we've only picked 2, but I'm happy!!
If you need to know how the berry bushes are, Benjamin is the ultimate authority. Thank you for sharing Benjamin with all of us. With him, Samantha Grace, Russell and Cheddar, we feel connected to all of you. Bless you.
The new camera is awesome, such clarity and depth.
Benjamin is just the sweetest, such a generous and giving heart. That is definitely raising a child in the way they should go. 🥰
My heart 💜 has melted! Benjamin is a Handsome kid! Just so sweet! Ty for adding that sweet moment. 🫐 🫐
I did some IPM fieldwork last summer with a state university on blueberry crops in NJ and I can definitely attest that the bluecrop variety does get huge, produce so much fruit, and tastes great!!!
Hello 👋
How are you doing
Wanted you to know because of your videos I have fantastic window boxes and containers. I get so many compliments. Last year I was unable to do my containers and I actually had people asking if I was ok because they missed seeing my containers. I have to say it makes such a difference on how my home looks in the summer.
Oh my goodness that little boy just melted my heart into a puddle 🫐💙
These videos couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I’m in Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 and have literally had my 1st raspberry’s this last week and the 1st flowers on my blueberries. There are very few RUclips channels for Australian gardens so I eagerly watch yours and just try and tuck all the info away for when it’s my time to do whatever it is… or you get plenty of rewatching’s from me.
Thanks so much, you break it down and make even me think it’s all possible. THANK YOU LAURA, AARON, BENJAMIN & SAMANTHA-GRACE. And Benjamin I hope my Blueberries taste just like Blueberry too 🙋♀️
Oh my gosh. Your son is sooooooo cute!! Absolutely adorable.
Benjamin is so adorable! Love his willingness to share. ♥️
I’ve planted 1 strawberry plant. Just because…. I love the foliage. Benjamin is adorable! Thanks for sharing 😊🙏🏽
Thanks for the education on blueberries. I never paid attention to the pH before listening to you in prior videos. In my area the soil tends to be acidic. But this spring I added soil acidifier to both my blueberry shrubs and they are LOADED with berries. The most we have had in the 17 years we have been here. Thanks for helping me grow as a gardener! I continually learn from you!
Benjamin is Absolutely Adorable. He will Definitely get his Vitamins with the Berries!! Love the color of your Shirt! Makes your Beautiful Eyes Pop! Love & Hugs from Yuma, Arizona 😋💞💞💞
Love the galvanize Containers they won’t rot and they will last forever I’m going to have to get some great ideas as always Benjamin is the cutest little boy
Good morning! I just planted 2 blueberries and 2 blackberries bushes in their own raised bed. It's my first time planting these bushes and am looking forward to your pruning video. I have an 8 year old grandson who does the "picking of the berries right from the bush" too !!
That’s sooo cute to see Benjamin enjoying blueberries.❤️
Oh my word Benjamin melts my heart!!! What a kindhearted little boy!! And those blueberries look delicious!! I actually planted three Proven Winner strawberry plants this year! It is so fun watching them grow and the blooms are amazing. I've gotten a few strawberries but I think something keeps beating me to the harvest!!! Either birds or squirrels, not sure yet! But it is still fun to try something new!! As always, love your videos!!! Thank you!!!
that area is looking amazing.. a different look back toward the main garden.. Benjamin sharing his blueberries.. very special little boy..
I love Benjamin's reaction.. We have planted huckleberry and raspberries for our grandchildren to enjoy also.🙃
Ohhh I just couldn’t help myself from exclaiming when you showed Benjamin finding the blueberries!! Oh my heart! That was SO sweet❤️
Little Ben such a cute little boy so sweet when he asked you if you wanted to try one 😊
