Honestly it's all genuine people just don't want to take money from foreigners here it's a hospitality thing they want people to feel welcome in the country
It's not just for foreigners, it's our tradition as it's common in our society to welcome and entertain our guests. As it's our belief that guests are the blessing of Allah.
I satet watching youre videos since you visited Pakistan I really loved how humble you were with Pakistanis and showing the positive side of pakistan I miss pakistan soo much but I was glad had the tour with you❤
Hi. Great video. I'm a Lahori too and we are famous for our food. I'm sure you've noticed it by now, haha. If you're vegetarian there are many great options you can try that don't involve meat. Unlike what students said, you can also get biryani without meat. It will have potatoes in it. I don't know what's your extent to vegetarianism because in many cases meat and potatoes will be mixed together and they can put only potatoes in your biryani. You can also try different types of lentils. We have a lot of variety in it. Speaking of rice, you also have to try pulao, some people like pulao more than biryani but they are very few. Since you're fasting too, no fast is complete for Pakistanis without pakoras. Traditional pakoras are made with potatoes mixed with batter and deep fried. You can also try samosas. They have all kinds of fillings but potato fillings are the most common ones. There are also mixed vegetable samosas but sometimes they have small chunks of chicken in them. If you crave western food, we have a lot of big chains here too. You will find a lot of vegetarian variety too. As you have mentioned you can eat fish, I will recommend trying the deep-fried fish too. It is usually sold where pakoras are sold. For sweets, you have to try Pakistani sweets (also called 'mithai' in Urdu). You also need to try Kulfi and falooda. Some other snacks you need to try are, ladu peethi, gol gappa, ras malai, dahi bhaley, fruit chaat. Yes, these are all vegetarian options without any meat. Lahore is famous for meat dishes but we have a lot of tasty variety of vegetarian food too. Ramadan Mubarak. I hope you have a great Ramadan ahead of you.
@@philbland Welcome! I hope you have great adventures in Lahore and even in Pakistan as a whole. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me anytime. I'm happy to help.
That old person said GHADDA, means Donkey in English, PAGAL in Urdu language means Mad in English. Those boys translated wrong. Anyway keep doing good, You have touched so many hearts of people in many ways like mingling yourself with common people, helping poor ones in need. Our roads can be dirty but hearts are pure fill with love
No bro Karachi is not dangerous basically lahor and Karachi are both in competition they always argue we are good or you are good, Karachi and Lahore both are safe
There is a language barrier Phil.. You mostly move around at local streets where many of our shopkeepers are not fluent in English.. And mostly vendors are not familiar with English.. So they will shyly move away from you or keep their distance from you.. In general everyone in Pakistan is hospitable.. Especially in ramdhan people will be glad to share their sehri and iftar with you..
😑One thing I don't like in this video. I am from Karachi and it's more safe and beautiful than Lahore. Why they said this? People are posting fake videos which is beyond the reality.
when any foreigners come in Pakistan than every pakistani treats them like their own guest and they try to make them feel comfortable in Pakistan because its our culture and religion teaches us the manner of guest. On the Other side international media spread s wrong image of Pakistan. Pakistan is full safe and peace full country for all foreigners.
You know what they were saying " chlo hum b enjoy kr len gy" and this line indicates they were not going there basically but went just to accompany u🌸 fun fact is that these boys are from same university in which I'm studying in😁
You got company of nice young boys from a very prestigious university I e GC University. Lively company . You all were stuffed in a ricksha meant for two passengers . Such lively real laughter bouts . Lovely ❤
Okay so funfact, phrases like InShaAllah, MashaAllah, Assalamualaikum are all Arabic not Urdu. They're used in Pakistan because they're Islamic greetings, you'll probably find these phrases in all Islamic countries.
Hi Phil, THANKYOU FOR another good video. Keep it up. And I just want to say that there's good and bad in everything, can be a country, town, people. Everything is good and bad ,you have to find the good by exploring. And dalah DOSNT mean the b...... word. It means pimp. 😊
You dont get nervous about thieves its just the level of being how so far they are protective & overwhelming about your safety so everyone is telling you about it
Phil, keep in mind that the cell phone you have will work for 2 months. After 2 months , your cell phone will not work with any Cell Phone SIM as your cell phone is not PTA (Pak telecommunication Authority) approved so If you have a plan to stay longer than 2 months then you will have a need to buy another cell phone from any Cell phone shop but make sure that the cell phone you will buy is PTA approved
@@philbland Being Pakistani, I thought better to tell you earlier rather you feel bad later after 2 months, when your cell phone SIM will stop working. You can contact PTA just to know about if there is any provision. Normally Cell phone SIM works for 2 months valid for any overseas Pakistani or any foreigner when they visit Pakistan. What people do after 2 months, they buy a cheap second hand cellphone so they can share their data with original cellphone as a Hotspot. At the time of going back to Scotland, you can sale out your 2nd phone to the same shopkeeper from where you will buy just in case if you don't want to carry that 2nd phone........

PAKISTANIs and Muslim countries in general are amazing at heart for guest. The west cant match the east countries hospitality. It runs in the blood.
They are actually paying for foreigners ,,they not wat money from foreigners.
