All the customizable options to tweak our experience in the Zone just like we want to play, the accessability, the limitless replayability, the modernized graphics and weapon models, dear god the gun-porn. It's currently FPS gamers post apocaliptic survival horror scavenger feverdream heaven. We can't wait for the 1.0 release and you did it out of passion. To be fair, one has to be genius to fuck up the stairways and ladders. They were working just OK in the original games. But some crook handed mòrón messed up and now you f'ck them instead of climbing. Forward-back-foward.

I'm gonna be honest, I was cheeks at the beginning (like not knowing about the health system and how it works, crafting, etc etc) but I can say I have a good enough understanding. And I was initially going to just give it up, but stuck with it. And I really enjoy it for the most part.
Bro, I play on Hard Survivalist with ReDone Combat AI, which basically makes the human npcs step back and hold angles instead of mindlessly pushing you, and I can say that early on ammo alone is rough. Almost ALL of my rubles goes into FMJ and HP 9x19 for my starting SMG. Saving I was able to get the hunter backpack, binos, a stash backpack , and a headlamp, with a few extra medkits. Costing around 20-25k rubles. I ain't got money to be buying guns and outfits. The fact shitty ones drop with maybe one good part, and I can take that part off and put it on another so long as it isn't rusty and make a decent gun fairly quickly that only jams 17% of the time with 70% dmg for free!? Priceless. Doesn't dip into my cashflow at all. Allowing me to put that money elsewhere while scratching that itch of artifact hunting, rf reciever hunting, part hunting, getting jump scared, almost dying, shooting loud badass sounding guns, strategizing for the long run of how I'm going to go about things, where I'm going to go and when and why, and making progress towards those goals and building up a supply of guns ammo and armor. Getting ready to go north .. thats the itch man. thats the fucking beauty of this bullshit all stupid fucking UGH game! FUCK!

The best part is you can customize gamma to be whatever you want. Want to buy weapons? Enable black market. Want an easier time? Modify the settings, like a new anomaly mod? it'll work. Hate the limb health system? It can be turned off. etc.
It seems the guy just completely missed the point of GAMMA. Also, a lot of negativity would be removed if some of this kind of players would read a guide on their PDA... Funny how some people complain that OG stalkers are way too far cry-ish or COD like. And then we hear people complaining how modded Stalker is not enough far cry/doom/cod...
That the essence of gamma … a survival like game with EFT and Dayz mechanics i love the game so much … i even added the magazines mode for the game to be more realistic…. Its a pain in brainscorcer but its the pain i can enjoy

i mean yeah he had some hot takes but he was polite in his criticism. If it's his opinion so be it, gamma is not for him then. The only issue i have with this whole thing is that he kinda spreads misinformation about gamma because he obviously doesn't know better. Yes gamma is a different experience to anomaly or vanilla stalker which is the entire point of this modpack. I personally enjoy scavainging for my hard earned loot instead of just buying the best stuff available from traders but i can see that a lot of people don't and thats fine.

Okay so I put in the black market addon... where do I go to buy guns? It gave me a new option to sell guns in the menu with certain traders but that's it

This guy is a joke, right? In my opinion, S.T.A.L.K.E.R GAMMA > than any stalkers ever created. It is complete, it is a mix of the other games in the franchise and the best things from other games. Just like the games in the soulslike series, Gamma was not made for just any type of player.
To be fair, GAMMA takes a minute to learn. I went in fresh with no Stalker experience and only a bit of info on what GAMMA had to offer and my fuck was a lot to get used to. Takes a minute to understand everything, especially when there are so many mod options for turning things on and off and tailoring things. It's quite a bit.
I have 5000 hours into gamma, ironically I think it's probably one of the easiest mod packs out of the popular to complete especially in Invictus. Compared to anomaly custom, gamma is a fucking walk in the park even on max difficulty and prog with 1 life. If you want a real challenge, do an invictus run in anomaly custom

4 hours enough time to comment On "Stalker Gamma" you got to be joking mate. This game is so complex with a large learning curve. I have played this game for hours and have only scratched the surface of. This is a great game that keeps my 60 year old brain active.
Someone doesn't mod. GAMMA has 100s of gameplay options you need to go through for the full experience, that alone can take 1-2 hours to setup for playthrough. If you don't you'll end up, well, like you, not giving a game a chance because you can't figure it out. Every bit of info you need is given to you. IF you read it. Stick to console games or F4.
I played 1000 hrs, it's genius, all the way thru. Listening to radio on Chernobyl roof, scared asf. There is a gun ban throughout the zone so you can not sell guns, you are supposed to break them down sell to, Repair trader.
Escape from Pripyat did it better - you can buy weapons and armors, but they're like really expensive. Anomaly prices were higher than vanilla, but EfP have even higher prices. Also- AREA mod is more hardcore without bloat.
