Well climbing the mountains itself is also one of the reasons behind the melting of the glaciers. So climbers are also responsible for the climate change…. The fact that whatever things natural/artificial humans touch will surely get affected so please don’t complain when we our selves are responsible!!!

Great interview on Al Jazeera, but it’s disheartening to see you engaging with so called the environmentalist and mountaineer . These people exploit the slogan of climate change while ignoring its impact on the mountains. These people are mainly responsible for this damage. They use huge, fancy white dome tents that require over 20 people to set up, breaking down large chunks of ice at Base Camp for surface alteration and anchoring. They also bring big coffee machines powered by heavy-duty generators, affecting air quality, snow, and noise pollution.
They even have large flags that contribute to the noise, despite many complaints. Their focus is solely on VIP clients who demand luxury tents with attached bathrooms, TVs, and coffee machines at high altitudes. I feel very sad about this situation, as they've been raising these concerns for the past 10 years, and they are the only ones who care about doing business under this misleading slogan.
Please do better research and find individuals in the mountaineering community who have clean records and no involvement in such unethical practices.

@@Oldiamondy you know just 5-6 years ago before Nims purja blew up they were getting paid peanuts for what they did at such extreme working conditions. They are finally earning enough to earn a decent livelihood and you somehow you can't take it. It is very easy for you to speak from a privileged position but you don't know what the sherpas have gone through in the past. They are athletes who can do far more than what you will be able to do ever in your life. They are rightfully enjoying their hard earned money and no matter what you say they will keep doing it

The only Guardians of mountains are the Dakinis, local Dieties & Spirits residing there.
Sherpas are responsible for destruction of the sanctity & serenity of Mountains by placing their greed first without any regard for the well being of the Mountains & its environment .
