Why close it off if it’s an auto filling loop? Surely you would set the max pressure to 1 bar of pressure or what every pressure you need, then leave it open, that way the system will fill only to that point of pressure and keep topping up as and when it’s needed! No? Hence the name auto filling loop!
Hi, good question. You can leave them open but if you have a leak in the heating side and you are away at the time then the leak will be like an open tap. Also if you have a leak and you can’t see it then the auto filling loop will hide that
