My husband died unexpectedly less than a year after our marriage. Our daughter was 3 mos old. I kept thinking I saw him for years. I've never wanted to remarry and came to my peace that I was blessed with our time. I never wanted to remarry again. He was my one and only. My grandson looks so much like him and acts like him. I lost him, but God gave me my daughter, a wonderful son in law, and my grandson. I've learned to be grateful for his blessings, and I know I'll see him again. Greiving is a process without a time limit. Thank you God for my blessings. Some people NEVER experience the love I've experienced.

YOU SAW them living with the guilt of committing crimes to the heart. YOU SAW them enduring personal crisis. YOU SAW the weight of the burden on their hearts with each tribulation. YOU SAW them seeking comfort from the above mentioned topography, ONE OF THE MANY MARVELS YOUR PERFECT HANDS HAVE MADE. 👏👏👏 YOU SAW their worries about tomorrow.

Despite this conviction, YOU ARE MINDFUL of them as evidenced by the fact that YOUR JUDGEMENT is not speedy, allowing them to pursue the desires of the flesh.
They are aware of hypocrisy in religious assemblies that like to be seen and heard. In addition, secular education teaches that there is no right and wrong, if GOD exists there is no way of relating to HIM, and moral standards shift according to the whims of fashion. Therefore, their minds are conditioned to question everything this world has to offer including “THY POWER THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE DISPLAYED.” They have accepted the heavy burden of dealing with the troubles of this life and seek to know another way, YOU THE GREAT COMFORTER TO ALL who did receive YOU as their personal SAVIOR. Unfortunately, like the prodigal son, we are all guilty of wandering far from YOU LORD because the negative experiences of our lives tend to build roadblocks to the TRUTH. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them to identify the way, truth, and eternal life (that is YOU). Since to know and follow your SPIRIT is more exciting than any 007 movies, and YOU DELIGHT MAKING the ordinary into extraordinary. LORD GUIDE their understanding of words to use to come into YOUR PRESENCE with an honest reverence of WHO YOU ARE to experience the beauty that time can't erase YOUR WISDOM resting on their faces. LORD STRENGTHEN their determination to never waiver in efforts to search for YOU because the wages of sin is too high for anyone to pay. Additionally, THE KING OF KINGS is needed in their hearts to learn how to expand their capacity to love for YOU are LOVE in any language. 🥰 Once they learn to speak it with boldness through YOUR WONDERFUL COUNSELING all the world will hear, and know that LOVE is the language of their hearts. So LORD, KEEP KNOCKING on their doors until they let YOU in to know hardships and struggles will end with a GREAT CELEBRATION WITH YOU. 🥰🙌
If one believes faith cannot be forced, YOU WILL GIVE that individual over to the stubborn heart to follow own counsel which will surely fail him or her to the extent that the punishment will last forever found in Psalms 81 NIV. Given this, I pray that YOU WILL MAKE that person see that this feeling is wasted for a world in which we become strangers as we age, gives us thrills instead of peace, aims to solve a problem but creates another, and unrest surges with each passing generation. Shed some light into their broken hearts for YOU ARE THE GREAT JEHOVAH, THE GOD THAT HEALETH thee.
Lastly, LORD when they call on YOU in earnest prayer to come into their hearts to be born again (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life), I pray that YOU WILL GIVE them the blessed assurance of their salvation because nothing breaks YOUR HEART, or tears YOU apart like when they cry from the trials of the devil who comes to slander, falsely accuse, steal, kill & destroy. Only by drawing nearer to YOU LORD will put them on a path to a glorious one way trip winding upward to YOU where pain is not welcome because the heart will never break anymore. For ONLY YOU UNDERSTANDS our tears since YOU LOOK at the heart, while humans look at the flesh.
O LOVE that will not let them go. When they don't have the strength to try, and have cried all they can cry hear their hearts that need YOU more today than yesterday. Many thanks LORD for speaking TRUTH in our lives TO BLESS those who are not offended by THEE. LET YOUR WILL BE DONE because YOUR LOVE ALONE CONQUERS everything by WAITING for them to cease struggling, and finally surrender to YOUR EMBRACE to learn about YOUR LOVE AND PROMISE TO TAKE CARE of your children exquisitely. 🥰 Since... My hubby died 12 yrs ago. I wanted to die with him but our dog needed me so i continued on alone with Wilbur. We moved from Colorado to Vermont to start anew. Its been scary...lonely..exciting etc then i got a job as caregiving for 8 yrs. It saved me psychologically. Now im alone without Wilbur who passed at age 17. He was a trooper and a love. Im in a senior community. I can remain by myself or visit the others as desired. Its not for everyone but its fine. I have no needs beyond the essentials. God is with me.

I remember when my 17 yr old son was killed. God was with me every step of the way. The verse that kept coming to mind as I planned his funeral, spoke to media, and tried to comfort his friends, was; “I can’t do all things through Christ who gives me strength” Phil 4:13. Fifteen years on, I still miss my son, he would have been 33 this Oct. I miss him, but I know who’s he was and where he is, and we will be together with Christ one day. And that brings peace. I have to always put the cross before me and trust God to make it day by day until then. And share the blessed hope of Christ Jesus and Salvation through Him until that day. God bless and comfort Laughing Out Loud those who mourn.
I remember sitting by my mum's bed side till she passed... Nothing hurts more . But knowing she is with Jesus makes it easier..it's months now, she is my best friend and the kindest person I've met I love and miss her everyday, her smile and her ever comforting words. 😥😥
The Lord God placed me with my momma (my grand momma) my grandparents raised me. God fearing people started my journey with The Lord Jesus. I was so sad holding my momma hand when she died. Jesus helped me understand I would see her again. I look forward mostly to seeing my First Love Jesus The Lord when Abba God calls me Home. ♥️🙏🏼♥️

This was a well done movie about love, loss, and grief. I appreciated that a letter was sent to him by his wife to read after a time. It focused on being grateful for the time and memories we have together. To look forward to forward progress and not look back with sadness continually. It helps one to realize that there is so much to live for. There was a story of a Chinese man who lost his love. After the funeral he was walking back home and saw some children playing. He watched with amazement and their interaction brought comfort and joy and good cheer. He started laughing and some passer by people noted that he was laughing. They said, "how can you laugh when your wife just died?" His response was wise, " life presents us with many sweet experiences if we want to see them," and laughing help lift the pain from him and brought back the good memories. Count your blessings name them one by one and see what God has done.
What a wonderful movie, when I lost my true love 37yrs ago, I was lost for quite some time and even made some bad decisions....but God helped me through it all even when I didn't truly didn't know Him, and is always here with me now. I can look back and thank Him for the wonderful love that was mine. How many will never know that kind of earthly love. but know our greatest love is Jesus forever!

It is extremely rare for a Christian produced movie to move out of the world of superficiality, with poorly written scripts, marginal acting. Yet "Birches' moves into a very good movie that is worthy of having a real and honest plot and quality writing, acting, directing. I think this is worthy of being a prized and enjoyable film to watch and enjoy. Thanks
This is a wonderful movie for those experiencing grief. My husband was killed in a road accident just over one year ago. The loss, as shown here, is indescribable. You don't know what to do, how to be, how I can still be breathing even without him. Now I know that everything I feel has been felt the same by others. But where to go from here??
It brings it all back into focus. Your loss is still so new and raw, and there is a road yet to travel. I guess that is what helped me most, is to know that I am not alone. Bad things, tragedies happen not just to other people, but to us too. And we can lean on them when we need to - and that is okay. And we can take tentative steps forward, then a couple back, laugh and cry and allow ourselves to grieve. One day as it said in the movie, the pain will not be so unbearable, you will not be there yet. But one day.
I experienced grief after 51 Years of marriage he was my Life Partner Soulmate. It can take months for your inner Strength to recover, and you do it in your own time. Nine Years on I have met gorgeous guy wonderful to be with. 8 thank God for out Paths have crossed. Now I treasure everyday. Take time you will get better as the Days move on only in your time.
Helping another helped me through the worst part. Im still lonely at age 76 but being by myself as also been therapeutic. Ive done therapy. Ive done widows and widowers group. Just going to the library helped. You will find whats next guaranteed! God bless you. ❤
I remember the loss of my friend. I never wanted to shoot another photo again. He always made the time together so wonderful. Everything we did was prayed about. Our meal’s, our outings, our time together as friends. I will forever miss him. You go through the pain of knowing that that person you love is no longer with us. You grieve in different ways. I have not finished watching this movie but will try and catch bits and pieces when I go to work today. Thank you for making this film. We all grieve differently and it’s coming back and excepting the loss which takes time. God does love the broken hearted. We will one day see our loved ones again!

My grandfather's first wife died at the birth of their first child, a short 2 years after they married. He was devastated. He proposed to her under a birch tree by the river and painted its picture. His last drawing before he died was of this birch tree. It was like he was saying "I love you. I am finally coming home to you. "
You said:'his first wife' but spoke of him as dying still thinking of her yet I assumed there must have been a 2nd wife. Did he not ever get over his first wife.
No he never got over the deep love he had for his first wife Ellie, who died in Apr.1924. Although to have someone to take care of the child he now had, he married Elma in Dec. 1925. Elma's fiance had died in WWI. My mother was born in 1926. Hans and Elma lived a long life together, 1892-1981; both however carried a deeper bond for their first true love. Hans Grohs was an artist. One of the most faithful movies i have watched in a long time that has touched my heart and came at an important time in my life.
Such a wonderful and touchy movie. I was deeply touched and affected😢. My beloved husband unfortunately passed away five years ago. It was too sudden, truly unexpected and the unbearable pain is endless. The agony of facing daily living, the emptiness in my heart, the longingness for his caress and warmth embrace, verily devastating!..Life has been meaningless and pointless without my husband by my side..and, for you my bestfriend, mentor, partner & darling husband JEA, I will endlessly and deeply in love with you. 'till we be together again💕

After 42 years of marriage my beloved passed ( heart attack). Six years ago yet seems like yesterday. My soul mate, best friend, love, I ache each day without him. I long to go home and join him again.
I was given the privilege to be at my Dad’s bedside when he died, my sister and I issued a DNR as he had a rise and fall. I was not at my Mums as I was in the Philippines. M sister who died Xmas day a couple or so years ago hurt so much, but due to Covid I was unable to go to her funeral . I will never forget how I felt my grandfather in my dreams and life, way after his death. I was 1 and a bit. I find it so difficult to cry at all the funerals I have been too. My sister’s death affected me most.
Now THIS- is a movie worth its weight in emotion and tears and love and time spent with it. Thank you - to the makers and breakers of moulds. The riskers and honest ones. Live love laugh.

Sad,but beautiful. There is so much to be grateful for, we truly need to count our blessings, especially when we experience a pure and wholesome relationship. It's like the kind we have with our Heavenly Father. Good memories are to be cherished, the actor definitely thrived on that,even though losing his beloved was painful. Inspiring.
I've never lost my husband, thank God. Married now for 52 years May 21. But I have lost two children. One from miscarriage many years ago and then my baby daughter last April. The grief almost unbearable but only God. Real movie.

Yet remembering and cherishing the unconditional love that took place with another Human Being is precious enough to have a lifetime of memories. especially knowing that we will see each other on the other side of the veil. Widowed three times. Only God pulled me through this last time. I am now a pot too broken for anyone but the Potter. Thankfully He is calling us all home soon and He will make us anew; not a scar or blemish of grief will remain.
This was really nice. often as adults and parents no ever asks whether we're afraid of anything. We're just supposed to be strong. We're often crumbling under the pressure of our responsibilities. Our prayers don't always get answered and our faith gets shaken.
What a wonderful thing to find people or just one person that you can be vulnerable around.
All those who come across this, I hope God restores your faith when nothing makes sense. I struggle with my own faith almost daily but I know over and over He has shown me that he's always with me.

Remember as well He understood grief. His statement was not condemnation nor was He a "demon to be cast back to hell as in a previous comment. The Lord is with us in love as we grieve, counsels us, comforts us and when we truly understand the beauty and the glory of where are loved ones are, that the walk with the Lord, eat with Him, have true Peace in Him, it is more us than them that is set free. They were set free the moment they breathed their last breath here and stood before His Presence in Heaven.

I lost my father about two months ago, and when I saw this movie I wished he was here to watch it and show me the parts I had missed. He was a Pastor and now I wish all his children could watch it too. I'm so moved by this movie. Feeling very sad all the more after I watched it. He was my best friend, and my inspiration to write. We had books to complete together, but I don't have the strength to write them alone, including his long awaited biography, which he asked me to write when he had gone. Being a Prophet, he had known and shared about his passing, but I always thought that would happen when we're both older, and when I'm stronger. I feel this movie is incomplete because I so wanted to see how David gets his writing inspiration back. There are a lot of questions I have after watching this movie, it saddens me more that the person who'd help me understand better isn't here anymore. I was so angry with God, but my father left me enough prophecies, messages and voice notes to last me a life time. Some of them include how to deal with loss, and where he told me about his passing. He never got sick, he was injured while playing soccer, and the teammates said that he warned them about the impending injuries. I was strong to handle the funeral and even assured the guy he'd collided with that it wasn't his fault, he was just a mode of transport to help Papa transition on the day he had said he'd be going. It could've been anyone or anyhow. As a writer, I feel that this movie is beautifully written, and tells a deeper message. As someone who has experienced the deepest lost, it hasn't healed me as much as it wounded me afresh. I just shared the link with one of my sisters to watch it, feeling bad that I'm 1000s of miles away from her. I know she'll be affected by it. Maybe she will see what I missed and get closure. I believe in God, and although I sometimes feel He's distant, He is my only hope.

If we don't know Jesus & what He did on the cross for us..that He died for the sin of the world..yours & mine too! We are all born with a sin nature & the punishment is death eternal..BUT..Jesus paid the price by becoming death for us. He carried all our sin upon Himself that we could have life eternal. He died, He was buried & He rose again. Do you believe He did that for you..can you put your faith in Him to save you now? Can you say thank You Jesus for carrying my sin & shedding Your blood for me. Can you say..I'm sorry for my sin(& that includes even idolizing my fiance over You) ..please forgive me & help me live for You.
And if you can then the Bible says WE ARE FORGIVEN & set free. Now..you can know Him & live to tell others about Him. This is the only hope we have.. its in Christ.

We can build a truthful relationship with God by keeping His Commandments and learning about Him through His Holy Bible. In times of difficulty that is when we really need God the most, we dont understand why things happen, but with his words of encouragement we pull through. Loss of a loved one or loss of everything what life has to offer is hard, but there is a truth and that is to appreciate what is given with thanks and what blessing are given. I loved how Mike prayed before Meals because Jesus needs this love and unity and humour because we all needed that Amen when they all said it. Honestly God is a very simple friend. I have few scriptures written and when I look at them on the wall God uses my simple efforts of Writting His Promises to uplift me and Talk with me. . Also there are times when His Presence is tangible I know how to experience that is Trust when we come near God by efforts in our hearts He Comes closer to us maybe not in Church but definitely whenever we seek Him for Him with all our heart Jermeiah 29:11-33 and Jeremiah 33 "And You Will seek Me and You Will Find Me When you seek Me with All your heart. ." They are aware of hypocrisy in religious assemblies that like to be seen and heard. In addition, secular education teaches that there is no right and wrong, if GOD exists there is no way of relating to HIM, and moral standards shift according to the whims of fashion. Therefore, their minds are conditioned to question everything this world has to offer including “THY POWER THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE DISPLAYED.” They have accepted the heavy burden of dealing with the troubles of this life and seek to know another way, YOU THE GREAT COMFORTER TO ALL who did receive YOU as their personal SAVIOR. Still, YOU have shown them NEW MERCY every day with each thought they make and each breath they take.
Unfortunately, like the prodigal son, we are all guilty of wandering far from YOU LORD because the negative experiences of our lives tend to build roadblocks to the TRUTH. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them to identify the way, truth, and eternal life (that is YOU). Since to know and follow your SPIRIT is more exciting than any 007 movies, and YOU DELIGHT MAKING the ordinary into extraordinary. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST MAKE them understand that there is no way around YOUR TRUTH, and that there is something about YOUR NAME. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them defeat in their minds what is false in YOUR EYES.
LORD GUIDE their thoughts to know that the path of sin is hard on their hearts for the purpose of crying out to YOU to know the joy, peace of having the heavy burden LIFTED by THE GOD OF PEACE I AM, and ANCHOR their souls in THE HAVEN OF REST. In other words, LORD use the storms in their lives to get a hold of them to trust YOU and believe. In truth, YOU ARE THE JOY that seekest them through pain.
LORD HELP their fainting hearts to believe that YOU, who was slain on the cross over 2000 years ago has the POWER TO CHANGE lives today through the INSTANTANEOUS GREAT FAVOR from GOD to the house of Israel made known in believers by YOU to make YOUR NAME EVERLASTING. 🥰 For as the statue liberates the citizens so the cross liberates the soul. ONLY YOU can calm the trouble waters of the mind when one admits to wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, JESUS IS LORD, and believes in the heart that GOD RAISED HIM from the dead TO LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt away from the heart in accordance to YOUR WORD found in Psalm 51:1-10 KJV. 👏👏👏👏👏👏 O, the wonder of it all to experience within the flesh the feeling of a tree being cut back/pruned in order for it to grow stronger and more beautiful after meditating on the words of said Psalm. 🥰🙌

LORD GUIDE their understanding of words to use to come into YOUR PRESENCE with an honest reverence of WHO YOU ARE to experience the beauty that time can't erase YOUR WISDOM resting on their faces. LORD STRENGTHEN their determination to never waiver in efforts to search for YOU because the wages of sin is too high for anyone to pay. Additionally, THE KING OF KINGS is needed in their hearts to learn how to expand their capacity to love for YOU are LOVE in any language. 🥰 Once they learn to speak it with boldness through YOUR WONDERFUL COUNSELING all the world will hear, and know that LOVE is the language of their hearts. So LORD, KEEP KNOCKING on their doors until they let YOU in to know hardships and struggles will end with a GREAT CELEBRATION WITH YOU. 🥰🙌
If one believes faith cannot be forced, YOU WILL GIVE that individual over to the stubborn heart to follow own counsel which will surely fail him or her to the extent that the punishment will last forever found in Psalms 81 NIV. Given this, I pray that YOU WILL MAKE that person see that this feeling is wasted for a world in which we become strangers as we age, gives us thrills instead of peace, aims to solve a problem but creates another, and unrest surges with each passing generation. Shed some light into their broken hearts for YOU ARE THE GREAT JEHOVAH, THE GOD THAT HEALETH thee.
Lastly, LORD when they call on YOU in earnest prayer to come into their hearts to be born again (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life), I pray that YOU WILL GIVE them the blessed assurance of their salvation because nothing breaks YOUR HEART, or tears YOU apart like when they cry from the trials of the devil who comes to slander, falsely accuse, steal, kill & destroy. Only by drawing nearer to YOU LORD will put them on a path to a glorious one way trip winding upward to YOU where pain is not welcome because the heart will never break anymore. For ONLY YOU UNDERSTANDS our tears since YOU LOOK at the heart, while humans look at the flesh.
O LOVE that will not let them go. When they don't have the strength to try, and have cried all they can cry hear their hearts that need YOU more today than yesterday. Many thanks LORD for speaking TRUTH in our lives TO BLESS those who are not offended by THEE. LET YOUR WILL BE DONE because YOUR LOVE ALONE CONQUERS everything by WAITING for them to cease struggling, and finally surrender to YOUR EMBRACE to learn about YOUR LOVE AND PROMISE TO TAKE CARE of your children exquisitely. 🥰 Since... "at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore"... (Psalms 16:11 KJV), and the nail print for them to know YOU by answering the following question. How did CHRIST LOVE people into a relationship with HIM? 🥰
I have had losses...ones that wretched my heart out of my chest, leaving me to feel as if I could never love anyone again....because if I did, God would take them, too. That may be honest, but since I know God and that He is Who He says He is.....I know that loss is, like in this movie, just one of many "irritants" we will face in life. Something God uses to gently (although it doesn't feel gentle) mold us and shape us into who He created us to be. The book of James reminds me that "in this world you 'WILL' have trials and tribulations"....pain, fear, troubles, conflicts....losses. But since God is, indeed, Who He says He is...His still, soft voice assures me that He is here to help me to not simply survive life's difficulties, but to thrive once I'm on the other side of the pain. "God never wastes a tear" someone once told me. I'm glad, because if He didn't care about us, there'd be a lot of wasted water. After seeing this movie, I don't think I'll ever look at pearls in the same way again. I'll remember what pain and irritation had to occur to make the pearl so beautiful and valuable.

This can be applied to all types of loss monetarial or a person. Many times monetario can mean something just as personal such as in my case when I've had a bad go at it and I lost my apartment and I'm homeless right now. This has a good message about staying the strong that you are we all have the same inside feelings and go through your feelings of loss but move on and let the child inside of you play and be the life that you should be, and then man up.
Interesting story..with a realness of what can indeed happen to anyone on the loss of a spouse…and the Christian perspective is indeed there even inside the quirkiness of the venue where they all met.

wow.. well at first I couldn't watch it as pain hurts, even watching others go through it, so I stopped watching, then went back, stopped then finally watched till the end.. thank you for this.. one of my biggest fears is either I die first and have to leave my husband or he dies first and im left to deal with the pain.. one thing tho is if im left here without him, the pain will subside but its just getting to that point of the pain freedom.. I cherish every moment with my husband, good or bad.. I wrote a slightly different way to something that was said.
I love Yahweh for his perfection because it gives me courage and strength to continue to clean out satan in my life from temptation, addictions and weaknesses knowing im not perfect and never can be but he still loves me as im his pearl and this is something to inspire by...
I was a witch, I lied, I stole and I am a sinner...I think I broke every commandment except murder but with my baptism and finding faith is something I cannot see has changed my life and am so unrecognisable to some yet a blessing to others now.
I have my own prayer ministry for people that need interceding prayers, I will continue to prayer and fast for others.
its not a religion or tradition, its a blind faith and a relationship with my eternal family.
so, when you read your bible, try seeing it as the history of your family, learn from their mistakes, gain strength from others like Daniel and Job are just a few.. he's not just God, that word doesnt give him the greatness he deserves, he is our GREATEST MONARCH OF OUR UNIVERSE... and his son died for us.. our mediator to our Heavenly Father..
religion and tradition comes from a corporation yet faith is a relationship with him, its not in xmas or easter as these are traditions from a corporation..
and remember Jesus's birthday is not in the bible as its self, Yeshua was selfless. put others first and he will put you first.. pray for others and I will pray for you ok... hold tight to the vine, even if it is a birch branch for you... mind your mind and always have compassion for others and learn to forgive, this releases hurts also and you will feel more free because you will no longer be in chains..
and as eve and Adam chose to eat the forbidden fruit and with that decision death has become a part of this forever life but what you have to strive for is life eternal.. we will always be a sinner but we can sin-less everyday..

..I have to disagree to a couple of things you said sorry. Firstly: we don't have to strive for life eternal.. we only have to believe & have faith in Jesus atoning work of the cross for our sin..the wages of sin is death eternal but Jesus died that death for us..He paid the price so we could live forever.
It is not Biblical to say that we will always be a sinner! That's saying Jesus death, burial & resurrection was for nothing.
I was a sinner but now am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am a joint heir with Christ. I am a part of the Body of Christ on earth. I am a child of God & have many brethren.
Look how Paul addressed the church..to the saints at Corinth, Ephesus etc. And they weren't perfect yet..look at Corinthians!
We have to know who we are in Christ & walk in faith not fear, which is unbelief!
Remember the Israelites who didn't get into the promised land because of unbelief.
Jesus is going to be appearing in the clouds soon for His Bride.. the church who is getting herself ready..to be without spot or blemish so we are being refined daily.
Your story of not being able to watch this movie because of fear made me think:'my gosh..whats happened to make her so fearful'?
I learned a long time ago that fear is the enemies playground & it ties God's hands on our behalf when we are fearing.
Fear is expecting that thing. Look at Job:'all that he feared came upon him'.
I've witnessed first hand what constant worry about something or someone..can do.
And.. it's the blood of Jesus that saves us..not baptism. No works..its by grace & grace alone..through faith!

There is really nothing Christian about this film.
They all drink like fish and one scene shows a female friend trying to make a pass at the poor man trying to cope with the loss of his wife when she wakes him from a bad dream.
"Don't cast your pearls before swine" is a biblical reference not to allow non believers to mock God and His word especially in church, it has no relationship to the claimed explanation in this script and the bible forbids any communion with familiar spirits which this film depicts as something this grieving man was comforted by.
Without the Christian tag the theme of this film is not bad in itself but to claim it is Christian and write in scripture taken out of context is what is offensive about this production.
Thank you for the heads up and the honest review... am 40 mins into it, waiting for the Christian part.. should've been obvious by the moment he started seeing visions or they talked about ghosts or the 4 bottles of wine; the drinking party and the heavy darkness throughout each scene...so tiring of people calling Christian, non Christian movies but worldly, secular and even demonic.
There’s nothing unChristian about the movie. It had realness inside the questioning of faith that comes inside deep tragic loss…and the devil can put his 2cents worth in anything anyway..so what if they drank some wine…and met in a house with a story…and all the other stuff…the scenario was real and not religious and pretentious like Pharisitical and judgemental Christians operate . It had a great principle to help deal with grief and I think the filmmakers accomplished their goal. I actually live in a similar house but that doesn’t make me any less Christian because of the history or the fact that my family just lost a family member and the Christian spouse had almost those similarities…who are we to judge? God looks at the heart…and intent… huge difference between being religious and truly KNOWING the Jesus of the scriptures. …the 6 friends were being honest and real with each other at their get together.

It came across as judgemental.. it’s just how the Pharisees would have reviewed seeing Jesus sitting with sinners….it was like a real life story inside of the grief of tragic loss and 6 friends questioning their faith…so what if the venue was an old house? …Christians do live in old homes with past histories….furthermore Jesus turned the water into wine at a wedding…obviously God didn’t have a problem with that miracle….LOL Jesus sitting around with a bunch of people drinking…🤣 so very very sad that people don’t know the Real God of the Scriptures……they only know religious traditions of men… I can see why some movie channels turn off the comments….to avoid spoiler alerts and prejudiced reviews.
@@MsEller316 Instead of drinking alcohol during my grieving process, I jump into worshipping The One who gave His Life for me and overcome the world. I used to be a drunker heading straight to hell, The Lord free me from that and now His Word is my Rock my defense, my sword against Satan trying to tempt me to deal with pain with alcohol and other sinful devices. As a believer, grief is dealt with peace, knowing if the loved one passed away, then is in Heaven with The Lord awaiting for the day of Resurrection to receive a glorified body and reunite with the loved ones. If the loved one did not repent and died without Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour, then grieving will be even more painful knowing they are in hell; still as True Followers of Christ, we trust God is Just and His Justice is Perfect. His people, His Church, His children, love Him with all our hearts, our minds, our spirits, our bodies and our souls. We love Him above all and everyone; spouses, children, relatives and friends. Nobody on this earth, not my mother, not my dad, not my husband, nobody is above Him.

I didn't get the impression that they were drowning their sorrows and getting drunk in revelry. ..they were old friends getting together...as many of us still do when we meet...it may not be expedient to some to do so however so we have to consider others. ..but it doesn't make one not be a Christian to do so. You have an awesome testimony....but not everyone is in the same spiritual location when faced with grief even with all the knowledge we have. That's why the script was so real. I also have a testimony but it wasn't about alcohol. I can't make my testimony the standard of how to behave. Touch not taste not etc. Let the Holy Spirit lead and guide according to the Word of God. Truth is Sufficient. Blessings and keep the Faith. On Christ the solid rock we stand...all other ground is sinking sand.❤👍🏼
Death of a loved one gives us a better understanding of that shared love and how life before death has meaning in some way to others, no matter what legacy we leave ... people seek answers to where they came from because it is important to our souls, just as we seek answers to life after death and will we see the departed souls we love again.

This is NOT a christian movie. People who due DONT come back. If the person who died was christian, that person is in the awesomeness of GOD and that person IS NOT troubled or DOES not have recollection of this life. If you DONT LET GO then what you get is a “familiar spirit’

I did not finish watching this movie because from the very beginning I did not like even the music and how long it took to show dispair and detail of the things of no matter. Then getting to the point of discussing things that are not real. It is not worthy to me to be called Christian movie. Which the whole movie needs to be more uplifting, and there is nothing more than a constant foreboding. My opinion and I am sticking to it.
