Barlow is a true metal-god, no doubt.... but damn, Stu has an absolutely beautiful voice too. je just blends in, and uses his strenghts to the fullest. Good call by Jon ;)
Speak for yourself. I like all three of the main frontmen IE's had. Each has their own strengths and feels. Barlow had the epic powerful voice, Ripper had the higher dramatic register, Stu is a mix of both; they all bring something to the table.

The concert was really great.Iced Earth proved us that they really respect their fans.We are a small country and they still choose us to make this video,we really feel honoured and we enjoyed the concert so much.The energy that came out that night was unbelievable.I think the ancients when they was start building the Kourion amphitheatre 6000 years ago they would be proud for Iced Earth and the Cypriot fans ha ha!!Thanks guys for that special night,we will never forget it.

i am fortunate enough to live in cyprus thus i was able to watch em twice, once being in the live at kourion which was recorded for a live album and i have to say that he nailed it :D along with the rest of the band ofc.

I've seen Iced Earth with Stu 2 months ago in Germany at the Metalfest Open Air. They blew my brain out, it was a 60mins sound of perfection. I had to shad a tear with I Died for you and Watching over me and all the other songs were perfect, best band of the festival (for me) without a doubt. I'll see you guys soon!
It pisses me off when any vocalist gets hate for replacing another. It's not their fault the other is no longer in the band, give hate to the bands other members, or better, don't give hate at all.
Comparisons apart: We'll never satisfied about IE's frontman, but Stu is such a nice guy, seems to meld so firmly well in the band as if he always belong in the band.
No I wasn't.I did see him with into eternity when they opened for gamma ray in NYC and he was impressive.I just love Matthew Barlow's vocals a lot.I will get this DVD and CD for sure.

Barlow was indeed great, but if you come here just to post that after Barlow leaving Iced Earth suck etc I really feel sorry for you ...Stu is also great and has the potential to become better than he already is, he doesnt deserve the hate because he replaced Barlow
