if you look at russia's geography, they dont really need any aircraft carrier. the only reason they had a carrier was because of 1971 wars i believe. correct me if im wrong , ie bangladesh russia india vs pakistan usa
Nope. During that time when the US sent its 7th fleet for Pakistan ( which comprised of nuclear powered aircraft carrier Enterprise, the only nuclear powered carrier of the time) ,Soviets didn't retaliate by a carrier. They sent their nuclear armed submarines.
That's not a rumor. Russia confirmed it yesterday. Russia is making missiles to sink aircraft carriers not carriers. They don't need them. Carriers are for the pirates and plunderers of other nations.
Its old Carrier is undergoing repairs since it had so many faults and The engines didnt work. As with all of the material in the Russian armed forces. Whole armed forces are just potemkin fasades with nothing behind them. Only hordes of untrained men left now, food for artillery.
I really think that Russian doctrine does not include carriers as carriers are imperialistic tools for deploying forces everywhere while Russia has the hugest land on earth to protect, they can rail/road transport anywhere in Eurasia and they have no capability/money to have an additional million soldiers to project everywhere, like the USA.
@@konsum949 yeah I know the old carrier is undergoing repairs and is currently plagued with several accidents and a fire in dry dock. I'm just wondering if they have abandoned using carriers like people are speculating, then why would they still bother with drills to train naval pilots on landing and take off from aircraft carriers?
If I was one of those crazy billionaires the first thing I’d be doing is going to Russia I want one of these I want one of them I wonder would and could the Russian government sell to anybody I live in Newfoundland if I go to Russia I’m taking a boat my own boat that would be a cool business adventure back-and-forth from Newfoundland to Russia
You were too late, in the nineties, when the president was a drunken thief with accomplices oligarchs, you could buy a submarine and not just an airplane.
I wonder if it can be done in real life though, the SU25 does not have the thrust and acceleration of the Su33 or Mig29K, which is needed for taking off from a ski jump. Even in this video you can see it is struggling to lift off without any ordinance, so I imagine it will not be able to do so if it is loaded with weaponry
@@markzimmerman8074 You realize aircraft launched with a catapult can take off with much more weight? Ordnance, fuel, etc. Nice uneducated response once again from a Russian shill.

Was this filmed in the 1970s?
U can’t say much considering 80% of USA’s planes are over 50 years old and the b-52 is litterally 80 years old lmao
@@geo.m1639 and Russia can't even operate it's one carrier without it catching on fire 😂
Rumors states that Kuznetzov is burning again. LMAO

Is Russia planning to revive the old aircraft carrier or build another one soon?

su 25 using the aircraft carrier, this must be a new development as before they weren't set up to use aircraft carriers. Fascinating.

Su-25UTG has been in use atleast since the 90s, if not 80s.
Su-25 UTG is always carrier capable from the beginning. It was use to train new pilot before they go for Su-33.
Нет просто су-25 это отличный учебный самолёт

Don’t worry boys it will be a short trip.

nice one. Joe Biden.
