I’m starting to believe you’re a whole life revolves around handheld radios or are you just like a Google bot?
Both videos I have on radios your commenting constantly correcting and telling everybody what they’re doing wrong, don’t get me wrong. I love to learn new things, but we all these are on the lower end of radios more so for novice users. I’m just curious to why you’re so committed to these comments sections.
Of course I bought them to get some use out of, but I didn’t buy these >$100 radios ,
With the intent of setting out repeaters and connecting to some 150 foot tower with “permission”
I appreciate your knowledge though and you probably know more about walkie-talkies than anybody else I’ve ever met and that is impressive, seriously.

Can this radio listen to FM radio for music?

  • @GiuseppeTorres68

    Hi.
With these same Motorola radios I could reach much further than the 0.5mile you cover there. I normally go for a dog walk around 4 miles away from home, within the city I live in the UK, with trees in the walking area.
Depending on where you are, static noise can be picked up when sitting close of interferers, like lights, data boxes. But if you move away from there you could communicate up to 4miles, ish :)

Thats more of what I was expecting and hoping to get as well ,I’ve tried in different type of areas as well. That’s impressive ,wonder what makes the difference.

They are pretty simple and hold a decent charge when they are off. Motorola and cobra both offer those of course you’re gonna get what you pay for so always have to keep that in mind.

Kansas is NOT flat. I have no idea why that is rumored to be. Flat is Florida or New Orleans or something like that. Kansas is very much NOT flat. Towards Colorado, the hills become more subtle, but no where near flat. Being from Kansas, It feels VERY strange when I am in an area that is all flat. Like being in Arkansas where they grow rice or anywhere near the gulf cost. I can't speak to SW Kansas, though. I'm never in that corner of the state.
