lord i feel for that momma, i could tell she had more to say but the camera was rolling so she kept it sweet. growing up in my childhood home the word for the day EVERYDAY even in college was "NO BABIES".
The mama crying…. Baby I felt that and not in a good way. These young woman having babies have no idea… having a kid at 16…. 16??? I wasn’t ready at 19. I couldn’t imagine being ready at 16. My daughter is now 22. I had no help. It was hard but I made it work, I had no choice. She’s my only one and I only had 1 kid because trying to care for 1 was a lot… financially especially. I cried the other day, at 42…. It’s been a long 22 years… and I’m tired. Being a single parent is hard. It doesn’t stop when they turn 18. I’m all she’s got. These kids don’t understand. Babies aren’t babies forever. 😢

I, too, don’t think momma was not crying bc, “omg I’m gonna be a grandma yay…” - I think it was more, “oh Lord Jesus help me, our lives have changed. It’s gonna be hard and I don’t know if I can handle more strain while trying to help my baby raise a baby…” type cry. Bc she said to her daughter, “you know what I expect of you and you got to finish school…” I’m relieved mom didn’t freak tf out like she could have but, still let her baby know, you still gotta do what you’re supposed to do and I know your capable of …just with this baby. I’m happy to see this type of support and accountability at the same time. Momma, girl and baby gonna be alright 💜
