Great video. I doubt Seabrook is the type of defense men that didn't know that he would get hit from other side while fishing for the puck behind the net. I've seen the picture shown on CDC forums and it clearly shows arm to chest contact meaning Torres hit him on the front side. Somehow I'm not surprised at all if Torres gets suspended again seeing how decisions are made by the NHL
John Garrett is a MONSTER! (in a good way) haha It took serious guts to call out the "all mighty" Ron McLean like that, and I have the utmost respect for him for that.
We know the NHL and the major media gives benefits to teams like the Leafs, Hawks, Bruins, Wings...it's great to see people who know what they're talking about and have opinions telling it like it is.
@papayeung the first contact was to the head. The NHL said it was to the head even (But for some reason decided they wouldn't suspend him). His entire intent was to hurt seabrook. Thats all his purpose for game 3 was. I think its sad that the NHL would go out and make so much fuss about head shots, suspend everyone in the first month that even touches a head, then just lets this one go. Hawks don't play that style, but look for payback in game 4, and I doubt it will be just on torres.
It seemed to me that the hit was clean when I first saw it in the game. The way that the referees where/where not making calls makes one begin to think that the NHL is rigged. I feel that if a referee makes a bad call he should be held accountable for the situation. I think the referees should be thrown out of the game or fined for bad calls or non calls that can effect the out come of the game and even the fairness of the game.
WOW I wish CBC would have shown the hit more clearer when it happened. I didn't really see it. I just saw the Blackhawk down holding his head and Torres down beside him then all this shouting bout the hit being bad. I just assumed it was bad and was actually really pissed at Torres not only as a Canuck fan for taking a bad penalty but also because I don't like seeing anyone get hurt. Then I see this video and I am like hey wait a minute that hit looks clean to me. Thanks for the truth guys.
@ah316 It was just a technical glitch. CBC even said so on twitter.
Seabrook though had not touched the puck, so the call was right. No suspension needed.

garrett is awesome. thanks for uploading this!
Agreed. Sportsnet is smarter.
@69royals: Max pacioretty. I totally agree. someone should take chara's norris trophy away on the night the nucks take the stanley.
Garrett is going for ratings by bringing MacLean into the conversation. Mickey Mouse broadcasting trick. Very cheap.
