Rather than photocopying expense for all receipts just keep your receipts in a dark box in a cool location. The receipts that fade are on paper that is "thermal" or light/heat sensitive. I have kept thermal receipts for as long as 20 years in a folder, in a box, in a storage facility and not one faded.
