Great video, well presented showing how to use good natural products. Very good reminder as we all forget these simple solutions, thank you. In our country cinnamon, ginger and turmeric are also used mixed on the food twice a week, with very good results - Johan Marais South Africa
Once or twice a week is plenty. And yes clean grain. They don’t need much more than that. Focus on good grit and don’t give to much, half cup every other day. Far more important then anything you put on the feed.
@@tp8025 it’s easy to get lost in all the products available these days. Keep it simply and give them what they can’t get on their own. Good grain offers almost everything they need. Some yeast and vitamins every once in a while it more then enough
I noticed using most of these products that I dont have as much slugish looking youngsters . Last year I lost like 6 young birds this year I lost only 2. My youngster look broad and energetic.
For breeding I give as many different grains as I can get. Most times I mix commercially available mixes from Baden till it looks good. As for racers I use more of a diet/energy mix. Also commercially available

Birds kept in good condition do not get sick very often. Preventives are a much better way to go i think. I am going to have to start with red cell once a week and see how it goes. I have seen a huge change in my birds when i started with the yeast. I also use a product called kicken chicken and it seems to work well
+Wichita Pigeons your 100% right. Keep them in a clean loft and have everything they need ready when they need it. I love the red cell, it smells great and it dries on its own.
So many Benefits when I look it up long ago. But all that I needed to know was 1 tsp a day keeps the doctor away” A Fancier once told me this when i got my first birds from him. Never needed medication for them since. 😀
I like this video. I see dedication in your care of the birds. I find it amusing that you say you don't really see a marked difference when adding all these things. But on the other hand, I see that you do believe it works otherwise you wouldn't use them. I'm kind of an undercover nerd when it comes to things that interest me. So as I got more in depth on breeding I researched many things fanciers use as additives and supplements like in the video. The reason you don't see a visible difference in the birds is these things work on a more molecular level. If you didn't race and just flew birds around the house, the various systems in the birds would be just as healthy as a performance bird. Where the difference lies is these various products give certain systems inside the birds an extra boost in their bodily functions that we racers consider essential because of the rigorous routine we put them through. Yeah I know.... Nerd alert!!!! Lol. But that's just the kind of person I am. Knowing something works is not good enough for me to.use them. I need to know why as well. Thus the nerd comes out of hiding. Lol. Its obvious to me that you know what you're doing, I just figured that this comment would be able to help any other subscribers that view your videos that don't have the experience we do.
+Ha-y-n Brian I agree 100% that's why I use them religiously. I just see other videos and guys that keep saying they see such a big difference in there birds lol. My birds looked just as good as before using anything. But I bet they feel a lot better. Good health is the goal.
Adrian P I think that they go on about what they use because they're wanting to attribute the success more for their efforts than for the product itself. Not saying that everyone does it. But if indeed there is such a marked difference in the birds, they might not have been in as good condition as they believed them to be.
I use vitamineral powder over the feed, but only once a week, sometimes once every two weeks. I don't think vitamins are essential but that's just my opinion. plenty of fresh grit of every variety you can get is much better.
@mindhunter I think you answered your own question! If you give the birds a balance diet they will have all the vitamins needed. Minerals are far more important then giving vitamins. Same as in humans. They’ve done test after test on vitamins and what most people lack is fish oil do to the lack of consumption of fish. If you have a balanced diet taking more vitamins won’t do anything.
PIGEON RACING by Dr Herbert R Axelrod and Edwin C WELTY, its an older book but worth its weight in gold. If you can get it I strongly recommend you do.
Some of the brands have changed but the system is the same. Twice a week for the breeders and racers. When racing I don’t give it past Wednesday. So I stick to Wednesday and Sunday as my mixing days.
I would need another racing loft to be able to compete in old bird. And honestly we only have 4 or 5 guys that still race old birds. I like a little more competition.
Best regards from Brooklyn,NY.

So what do You use the Honey Nut Cheerios for, I saw you had a box there on the floor at the side of the counter 🤔
I like the feeds.
Thanks for sharing khyrie pigeon TV here
So once a week you use Red Cell mixed with the food and same for Brewers yest does that mean any other day it’s just normal grain ?

You can try garlic powder the one you use to cook to the feed
Where did u buy that duramacin 10
Local feed mill. But I think they order from foys.
Brewers yeast has been around for years, it has a lot of b1 and it is very important when breeding pigeons, nice job on your video
Thanx brother. I also enjoy your videos and rewatch them often. Lots of good information. I’m glad your helping guys like me in this sport.
thanks , a lot of new flyers are doing very well
Good
What is your mix of feeds sir?

how much do you use per liter of redcell water?
I use red cell on the feed not water

I used it on bracketing day but i will use it more often now.
Try blending 1 🧄 one red 🧅 with apple cider vinegar, strain it, and fill the bottle back up. Tbsp to water 4x a week. they love it.
What’s the purpose of the red onion?

@@messyloft8689 hmmmm. Can’t hurt to try. How much garlic and onion?
You give red cell just in the food or also in the water.. And how much ml liter water and kg food.. Best regards
Just on the food and honestly I don’t measure. I just pour some over the feed and mix it in. If it’s too much let it dry for 10 min.
its ok to give a red cell for maintenace during training

Thank John. It’s an old video but I still use the same practice

My advise is keep it simple and basic, all these new ways and methods have just complicated things.

And Vita King Productd IN ; ?
You mix vitamineral with bayewest with oil in the feed
Yes.

Wow i saw that giving acv every day is actually harmful. They defy need a break
They don’t get it everyday. But if you give it, small amounts won’t hurt. Just enough to acidify the water
Garlic powder
