Incidentally, I believe 'Till I Fall' (the Jokerr song ft. Dubbs and Masetti) was originally a Dubbs + Masetti track. I heard a very, very early version of verses from this, and Dubbs said that The Jokerr heard it and loved it and really wanted to get in on it. Came out like 6-8 months later super polished, and with Jokerr front and center. So that 'meaning he appeared in a Jokerr video' bit is even a bit short of what actually happened. He and Masetti got 'feature' credits in a song that was originally theirs. (Since Jokerr and Dubbs have no relationship with one another anymore, and it has been like 8yrs, I don't think it's a problem to mention this) I love that he's basically doing an indie rap version of the basic bitch instagram influencer grift now. His 'pro services'...it's not that weird to charge people for the convenience of being the middleman, but $34,000? Have any of his own music projects even made this much? I tried to check this out for myself to see if your pricing was a joke, but that part of the site was down. But it says something that I find it believable. I commissioned this song from the Jokerr in 2017 due to a personal issue I was having and to date I definitely believe it is one of his best songs from all stand points that involve the artistic creativity of music. (Mixing, Mastering, Lyrics, Production). I did pay 3k for it, and I feel I got every cent worth, personally.

Interesting video. There's been plenty developments in the last few days though. Maybe even enough for a mini video? I'm still gonna say I'm a Jokerr fan, but just as I question my other favorite artists, I also question him. He does seem like he has a good core group of friends and family, but the business side does seem like it's a clusterfuck sometimes. I try not to delve into it though. I know I'm late to this but even disregarding how dude has sabotaged all his public relationships and earned a reputation for being a volatile scam artist, he just hasn't progressed at all creatively since his beef with Hopsin. His music sounds the same as it did 10 years ago, his big multi-media narrative epic is pretty much still where he left it in 2011, and even proceeding this video he's continued his pattern of announcing albums before their completion with whole commercial rollouts and taking multiple years to actually deliver, not to mention this time it's *another* album of disses which is the only time he ever sounds interested in rapping now, idk how he expects his career to progress at this point. I'm sure there are extenuating circumstances beyond his control but equally so I feel like being a multi-disciplinary one-man-show has done nothing but work against him, I've never seen anyone with quite the chip on their shoulder that he has.

That track is about my son, and there is good reason as to why it was set in that style. Highly inappropriate to say I am sick, the situation was and it was reflected in the track... although to this day I still didn't quite agree with Jokerrs verse which I won't be going into as that is irrelevant here.

He did not die peacefully therefore I had no intention of making a magical angelic track, plus Anthony hated music like that.

But yes I tried to reflect the situation in the track as well as Anthony's likes, he loved metal/hip hop/some cheesy beiber haha/comic books-super heroes and creepy movies. So as I said a lot of thought actually went into the concept of that track, you can even slightly hear the candy man theme through it as I was in the process of teaching him it on the piano/keyboard when he lost his life, he had not long completed the theme from Halloween, so when you know factors like these you can see more how it makes sense, apart from Jokerrs verse which again I felt over stepped the mark a bit.

So ok, at the end there you said he doesn't interact positively with his fans, and maybe that's mostly true, I dunno, but I have an anecdote that goes counter to that. For our wedding ceremony, my wife picked one of his Aithen songs as our wedding song. I said so casually on FB, and J sent me a message about it, we talked a bit and he wrote a nice little message for us. No big deal but nice. I've interacted with him on many occasions since and he always remembers, always asks about the wife, our life and so on. I get other people can have issues with him, I get he can be abrasive and whatnot(that's one of the things I like about him) but when i see personal attacks on him like this, it just doesn't vibe with my experience so I write it off. It's like if you have a friend and someone else says "oh he did this and he did that" and none of that has happened to you, and doesn't reflect your experience, and the person saying it you barely even know. Maybe it's all true but I don't really care. His music is in my regular rotation, you don't like it, that's cool opinions are subjective, and I don't follow drama on social media, so he keeps putting out good music, and being nice to me, I got no issue with him, regardless if you or other people do. I've had interactions with a lot, lot of artists in and around the underground scene and a lot of them were dicks, a lot of them were nice, and a lot were in between, J was one of the nice ones from where i sit, and so yeah I give him leeway when someone makes accusations against him.

Yo dude, you're going about this all the wrong way. It's obvious that you're doing these videos inspired by essay video makers. The obvious hints to this is the textbook general sarcasm while trying to act above it all, the LeafyIsHere In-Betweens, and the (frankly overused in Essay Vids in general) I Hate Everything elevator music. The difference between those guys and you is that they're either: 1. Criticizing a Piece of Media as opposed to an ACTUAL person or their entire career in general. 2. They're usually punching wayyy up, at much bigger RUclipsrs, who are being intentional assholes, or Movie Directors, who are usually stuck-up. If these type of RUclipsrs stray from that formula its only to gently criticize someone in the hopes they can improve, and/or it's done in a non-personal, "No Offense" type of way. You are a young kid, criticizing someone's personality directly, who is just trying to make a living in the music industry. You have no experience in that industry beyond familiarity with the subject. I think you chose The Jokerr, Hopsin, and other Alt. Rap Stars, not because you had much to contribute to a review of their careers, but just because you knew about them and you needed an interesting subject for your essay videos that you had some knowledge about. You could've done a subject much less personal and direct, but now you're criticizing potentially someone's favorite artists/music because you think that's what Essay RUclipsrs are just supposed to do: Criticize with Dry Sarcasm and just rake in the Fame and Success. And yes there are professional Music Critics, but I sure by this point you've realized that you're not The Needledrop. You cannot criticize someone's talent objectively and act like that's the end-all to the subject matter, especially as a complete outsider to the lifestyle. It was interesting to hear his side on things as a response to the thoughts and ideas you presented and point out a lot of things that have been skewed and assumed by people on the outside. Specifically the Massetti situation wasn't as simple as is made out to be in your interpretation of things. While I STILL think there might've been other ways to handle it, Massetti definitely isn't the innocent chill dude smoking weed in a place where he doesn't hurt anyone.

I know I'm late to this but even disregarding how dude has sabotaged all his public relationships and earned a reputation for being a volatile scam artist, he just hasn't progressed at all creatively since his beef with Hopsin.
His music sounds the same as it did 10 years ago, his big multi-media narrative epic is pretty much still where he left it in 2011, and even proceeding this video he's continued his pattern of announcing albums before their completion with whole commercial rollouts and taking multiple years to actually deliver, not to mention this time it's *another* album of disses which is the only time he ever sounds interested in rapping now, idk how he expects his career to progress at this point.
I'm sure there are extenuating circumstances beyond his control but equally so I feel like being a multi-disciplinary one-man-show has done nothing but work against him, I've never seen anyone with quite the chip on their shoulder that he has.

That track is about my son, and there is good reason as to why it was set in that style. Highly inappropriate to say I am sick, the situation was and it was reflected in the track... although to this day I still didn't quite agree with Jokerrs verse which I won't be going into as that is irrelevant here.

@@carolinafine8050 the reaper is infact supposed to be a comfort, hence the candy, as he died alone, there was another version I was going to use with the reaper walking away with him into the distance holding his hand and they are having a conversation, I knew what I was doing with the track, it is personal to me, my son and the situation and I would never expect others to understand it, but thankyou.
He did not die peacefully therefore I had no intention of making a magical angelic track, plus Anthony hated music like that.
@@carolinafine8050 I wasn't totally impressed with Jokerrs verse though, always felt it was a bit over the top and more about himself than my son but I left it it, regret him even being on it now, especially with regards to the current situation.
But yes I tried to reflect the situation in the track as well as Anthony's likes, he loved metal/hip hop/some cheesy beiber haha/comic books-super heroes and creepy movies.
So as I said a lot of thought actually went into the concept of that track, you can even slightly hear the candy man theme through it as I was in the process of teaching him it on the piano/keyboard when he lost his life, he had not long completed the theme from Halloween, so when you know factors like these you can see more how it makes sense, apart from Jokerrs verse which again I felt over stepped the mark a bit.

So ok, at the end there you said he doesn't interact positively with his fans, and maybe that's mostly true, I dunno, but I have an anecdote that goes counter to that. For our wedding ceremony, my wife picked one of his Aithen songs as our wedding song. I said so casually on FB, and J sent me a message about it, we talked a bit and he wrote a nice little message for us. No big deal but nice. I've interacted with him on many occasions since and he always remembers, always asks about the wife, our life and so on. I get other people can have issues with him, I get he can be abrasive and whatnot(that's one of the things I like about him) but when i see personal attacks on him like this, it just doesn't vibe with my experience so I write it off. It's like if you have a friend and someone else says "oh he did this and he did that" and none of that has happened to you, and doesn't reflect your experience, and the person saying it you barely even know. Maybe it's all true but I don't really care. His music is in my regular rotation, you don't like it, that's cool opinions are subjective, and I don't follow drama on social media, so he keeps putting out good music, and being nice to me, I got no issue with him, regardless if you or other people do.
I've had interactions with a lot, lot of artists in and around the underground scene and a lot of them were dicks, a lot of them were nice, and a lot were in between, J was one of the nice ones from where i sit, and so yeah I give him leeway when someone makes accusations against him.

Yo dude, you're going about this all the wrong way. It's obvious that you're doing these videos inspired by essay video makers. The obvious hints to this is the textbook general sarcasm while trying to act above it all, the LeafyIsHere In-Betweens, and the (frankly overused in Essay Vids in general) I Hate Everything elevator music. The difference between those guys and you is that they're either:
1. Criticizing a Piece of Media as opposed to an ACTUAL person or their entire career in general.
2. They're usually punching wayyy up, at much bigger RUclipsrs, who are being intentional assholes, or Movie Directors, who are usually stuck-up.
If these type of RUclipsrs stray from that formula its only to gently criticize someone in the hopes they can improve, and/or it's done in a non-personal, "No Offense" type of way. You are a young kid, criticizing someone's personality directly, who is just trying to make a living in the music industry. You have no experience in that industry beyond familiarity with the subject. I think you chose The Jokerr, Hopsin, and other Alt. Rap Stars, not because you had much to contribute to a review of their careers, but just because you knew about them and you needed an interesting subject for your essay videos that you had some knowledge about. You could've done a subject much less personal and direct, but now you're criticizing potentially someone's favorite artists/music because you think that's what Essay RUclipsrs are just supposed to do: Criticize with Dry Sarcasm and just rake in the Fame and Success. And yes there are professional Music Critics, but I sure by this point you've realized that you're not The Needledrop. You cannot criticize someone's talent objectively and act like that's the end-all to the subject matter, especially as a complete outsider to the lifestyle.
I think this is why The Jokerr's (admittedly) petty rant about you (but then again, what did you expect??? Rappers are petty by nature and necessity, I'm sure you know this!) had more of a moral standing than you did. You're bringing real people's dramas and relationship into some kind of of Human Critique, and expecting to just be treated with Critic Neutrality or some shit. You attacked him first, and got blasted back at, and ultimately you kinda deserved the heat.
I type all this not to condemn you and say you're an idiot or anything like that. I just think you're misguided, and new to this I assume. I happened to see both sides of the story after the dust settled, and I think you should be more careful with your videos onwards, nobody likes a stuck-up critic and that's the type of reputation that plagues people after they've created long careers of reviewing things. That shouldn't be the stance you're aiming for the start of your channel, and its just going to cause you more problems and more controversy until you act with a little more grace.

I disagree, i don't think I'm biased at all. A few years ago i was a giant Jokerr fan and a combination of his lackluster release schedule and his horrible attitude drove me away. Only time i'm really being biased in this video imo is when i'm reviewing All The Orphans and that's just because that part is all subjective. The rest is all just evidence.
