I hear you. I quit, too. I quit reaching out to people. I haven't heard from any of those people, so I guess I don't have any friends. But the people I quit reaching out to were just uncaring, self-serving narcissists anyway. Saw one of them in a store last week and she said, "Hi .... I haven't heard from you in a long time!" (In about 50 years of being acquainted with her, she has called me ONCE --- about 15 years ago.) Her husband was with her and he probably knows what she is like, and when she said that to me, he said to her, "The phone goes both ways!" 😜 All right! A bit of sweet vindication ..... or something.
When I turned 50, I did let go of relationships, mostly friends ( at least I thought they were my friends), that made me feel lousy and insecure. What a relief it was! I have much more healthy relationship with myself .😊
Thanks Meghan for the insightful sharing! I have definitely let go some toxic relationships through out the years. I have stopped being nice to some people (as I was trying to make some relationships work). Funny enough these people certainly been wanting me to back in their lives lol. I just never looked back twice!
Thanks for the video. I too have let go so many toxic things. I enjoy things in a more simple and minimalistic way. And what's surprising is that I don't hurry and yet I have the time to do the things I love and been putting off. ❤
I am glad you have been able to slow down and work that out well. I feel a lot of people struggle in doing that. Aww. The little tea party you had with your daughter is adorable. I truly wish I had a little girl to do that with (but I have three boys instead but they are fun too). I sometimes take myself too seriously but I used to be incredibly silly. I let it out once in a while to make sure there is a balance.
Thanks for this video 😊 Its good to be reminded that its ok to let go and also stop and reflect on what is serving you still and what isnt anymore. I think for me letting go of control in general is a big focus point. Ive started letting go of the expectation that my house is always going to be tidy. Its been really freeing and ive just accepted that mess is a part of life and a reminder that we are living life to the fullest 🙌🏼
I feel you. There are certain times in my life when I really have to hustle - can't say that's bad though cause that helped me reached my goals in one way or another. Now however, I learned to just be contented and happy of what I currently have and make the most of it. More like downsizing but I am loving it so far.
Hey love, I’ve been here with you so many years, living similar life and having similar mindset, but first everything happens to you then to me😅im expecting my first baby now and would love to watch a video of yours about how to take care of newborn, how did you feed, how often, how we need to carry the baby correctly, how to bath etc Your first trimester video was a lifesaver, i had same symptoms and only after watching the video I realised that everything is okay to me, nobody had told me that those symptoms were normal in first trimester ❤
I would love to know how you adjusted your work mindset as you transitioned to being a mom. My baby girl is almost 3 months old and I feel so conflicted and confused about what I should do or how I should approach working now. For context, I’m a WAHM with two businesses: a blog business and marketing services business.
It's such a huge transition! Takes time to find your groove for sure. I think my mindset shifted most in that I had to accept that I simply could not do as much as I used to before being a mom, which really forced me to pare down my work responsibilities to just what were most essential/doable for me. I stay home with my daughter most of the time so I have had to reduce my workload - which took me a while to be ok with since I was so used to having all the time in the world. When she was teeny tiny I had to work around nap schedules, even now I'm able to use her 2 hour naps for work if I want/need to (or anything else really). She goes to her grandparents 2x a week though for childcare so I do have time to work more on those days :) You'll totally figure things out in time xo
My dearest Meghan, you can scale back from hustle culture / or work less because you have a partner who works and pays for life alongside you (which is amazing and I love your lil’ Sadie angel ❤). I’m a single woman in my thirties and I can’t even think about staying away from works or the hustle culture! With the rent prices and inflation in Toronto, I’m working 2 jobs and it’s still not enough!!! I’m now thinking of moving elsewhere really… Life is already so tiring and difficult for me… 😢
@@meghanlivingstone on the matter though… I did let go of what success means to others and focused on what it means to me and also what day to day life “should” look like… I’m actually finally happy that I’m seeking a peaceful and “boring” life 😊
I've let go of trying to manage relationships so much. For so many years I was the one reaching out and making all the efforts. Such a relief.
Feel this! I decided that 2025 is going to be focused on me!

Where is your blue sweater from 1:10
I am looking into clothing , what we wear and consume, materials for bedding etc. do you wanna do a video on what materials you and your family use?
I stopped pouring into cups that don't have a bottom
Hello Meghan, I wonder which platform you moved your hosting to as I have the same poblem.
Hey there! I used Wordpress for many years, then switched to Squarespace. I wanted something that didn't require as much upkeep!
@meghanlivingstone ya, I do too but I am not happy with the price
