    I remember my father owning the same type car ,when I was starting to drive car. It was a awesome car. I miss the old days for sure. It is a awesome looking machine for sure.

      Yes, they were! In '73, I owned a '58 Cadillac that WAS NOT EQUAL to this!

    Next to GM, Chrysler was coming out with very well-balanced designs in that era. Epic looking.

    The wire wheels are out of place on this car. Nice that the original wheels and wheel covers are included. Very unique and stunning car!

      push button trans is optional, but most were so equipped.

    Those wire wheels were a factory option. They were made by Motor Wheel and Rim. They were the ONLY style wire wheels Chrysler Corporation used in those days on all its models. Why would you ever replace them?

    In November, 1965, my Dad had the opportunity to buy a '58 DeSoto Firesweep convertible (sorta plain black top on white body) for $300 AT A DEALERSHIP! He didn't...AND I REGRET THIS TO THIS VERY DAY!

    Such a beautiful car. The wire wheels are not appropriate though, the normal tire package would be a much better look.
