  • Ever since DAD released the SPQ card for their AX32 and then with the version for the Avid MTRX and now with the smaller version built into the MTRX Studio, users need to be able to analyse their speakers and room, and somehow transfer the results onto the SPQ card using the DADman software.
This is part of a series of 3 tutorials and articles that you can find on the main Production Expert site www.production... showing how this can be achieved using the free Room EQ Wizard software, a low-cost USB measurement mic, and most importantly, how to transfer the measurements to the SPQ card.
In this free video tutorial, Mike Thornton shows how to use the free Room EQ Wizard software to analyse your speakers and room and then be able to EQ your monitoring chain.

Great video! When doing the basic setup before you take measurements, does REW retain these settings so you dont have to go through the same process every time you reopen the software?

You have to save the measurements so you can recall them later.

@@Studio22mix Thanks for the reply. However what I'm asking is, say I take measurements and save them, then a week, or a month later I want to open up the software and take more measurements, say at a friends house, with all the same settings as before. Do I have to check all the same boxes I did last time or will all the settings be as they were the last time?
