yo, is there a way to retain the original GAMMA icons without the KVMAS+Azertrix mod overriding them? ideally id like to keep all of the icons the same except for the armor/helmet icons which the model mod can replace quick edit: you can keep ALL of the gamma icons by having the model mod load BEFORE gamma icons but then armor icons dont change

I ended up adding to my already heavily modded version of Gamma (instead of going the EFP route) and incorporated some of the missing items you list in your description/notes. The one extra item I added that was absent from your list is the Ultimate Weapon Pack, which adds a ton of new guns and animations, adding a lot variety and choice to any new playthrough. :)
@@thespeeddemon7832 I don't know this mod, exactly, but usually with texture mods you just replace them with the old one. Just drag and drop the maps from the winrar (7zip, etc) file into your game directory. Like I said though, I am not familiar with this mod.
It looks indescribably good. As I know a fair bit about modding, I also know that your setup requires some modding knowledge. Not possible for 95 percent of people out there without problems. A tutorial would make a lot of people out there, including me, happy
Easier than you think, graphical mods are quite cross compatible. Don't get into too much trouble until you get into conflicting animations or scripts. I learned the first thing about modding Anomaly with MO2 just 2 weeks ago, have a custom setup with a bit over 40 mods set up including most of the available visual enhancement ones, running well and making the Zone feel awesome and fresh for me.
@wowieWOWWWW For the most part yes. If you're having trouble, their are tons of YT videos showing how to mod Stalker GAMMA. After you do it enough times it's all the same. Some mods are not as "easy as others but most are copy paste. Some require deactivating activated mods that come with GAMMA. Basically bc you're replacing it with whatever you downloaded. But like I said, utilize YT!
I think it goes without saying that you have the best looking Stalker Anomaly that anyones seen. You should consider doing your own download pack, because this is just incredible
This stuff looks exceptional, and super video quality, Custer! I'm in awe at the level and quality of development constantly improving this game. Appreciate the link to EFP Tut, but for those only loosely familiar with mod management, it's just confusing. The one thing I'd like to see - and I'd do it myself if I had the knowledge - is a full GAMMA install / mod tut that includes all this stuff. Load order is apparently important, as well as enabling / disabling some mods, and then depending on what you have, adjusting setting in-game. It's pretty overwhelming, and a comprehensive HowTo would really be nice.
Just when I got a solid mod list set up for my own custom gameplay and am near 100% satisfied with the results, I find a couple mods in this that just look insanely good. I have a few retextures, and sound mods that I absolutely love, but the rest of these that wont screw with those, I have to try. And the 4K mutants have been in my modlist since release, I hope the rest of the mutants get 4k textures soon, but it isn't the end of the world.

Great Video...makes me wanna go back into STALKER...but I have just finishes setting up my SPT modlist. I usually go with a reshade preset from Frosty, like ZoneRealityRemade. That dude makes some amazing reshade presets and texture packs. I love Arrival as well. You got me interested in the RE:Pack series texture, will definitely look into it, at least the PDA one.
Really great modes and tips. Another one for flicker and anit-aliasing is DSR which is not a mod but NVIDIA feature to run game at higher base res and display lower res. If your GPU is beefy it produces excellent results.

Im using a crappy pc while i wait for my main pc to be fixed and i realised Anomaly is such a good sandbox that i never actually finished the main story because i kept playing with diffefent aspects of it. Well, now im commited on finishing it while playing on DX8 and honestly with no other games my pc runs good, its a blast.
Good timing. I've been considering getting back to EfP recently, but last time I tried to set up graphics, there were some clashing mod updates and it just didn't work.
Ok you motivated me to redownload EFP, haven't played in a very long time (v3.1 i think) and I had a pretty old gpu and only 16gb of ram at the time so i never used other textures than the EFP texture pack which was unfinished at the time and had weird looking metal pipes... I'm excited to try this out but i'll keep to the hd models mod haha
I really wish there was just a modpack that included all of this and you choose between EFP or Gamma in the installer options. Or i guess just wait for Stalker 2 mods.

Using most of the mods you mentioned. I especially love the KVMAS and Arrival mods. The particulate matter Arrival adds is super cool. One of my essentials. Another mod I consider essential is Annihilation Music Replacer. It just fits so perfectly. I think it adds to and doesn't replace Anomaly/Gamma's music, not sure but I love it. Btw, I love that you're still using Badlands after so long! It's essentially the preset I make for nearly every game I add reshade to, though my favorite right now for Gamma is Area X. Curious, did you make any tweaks to Badlands or is it the default one that comes with Gamma? I've been working on a new, more efficient version.
Great video! For some who is not very familiar with reshade, how do you get FXAA in to the BADLANDS preset? I see it as an option in other premade profiles but not in BADLANDS?

#question It would be really helpful if someone who presents all these mods would make a pre-configured version of their STALKERS setup available as a complete pack for download. That way, even people who are a bit scared of having to install everything themselves could have a new gaming experience. Hey Custer, quick question, do you use or recommend using both ADEGA and EFP Texture pack V8 (this last mod downloaded from EFP Discord)? I just made a clean install and wanted to know if both are good to mix....
Guys so I've followed multiple videos of graphics settings and mods and not only does my PC just tank in fps (I was getting over 100 before), but it also is giving me a weird film grain filter with ALL reshades I've used. I have no idea what is giving this effect but I cannot seem to fix this.
I tried doing hippos guide for efp, but all the shadows even under trees were pitch black to the point of needing a flashlight to see anything. Maybe ill try it on gamma as i like both.
My Stalker folder was cute and little once, but like a real child it grew and grew more beautiful. Approaching 40GB now and worth it :) However not everything is always compatibel so I keep a backup on my server to revert to :)
What CPU and GPU do you run? Just got a PC with a 12th gen i7 and a GTX4060 and wondered if it would be able to handle some of these. I know the 4060 definitely has its limitations. Thank you!
Seeing this motivated me🙏 I’ve been playing Gamma for a little over a year now, but with all the stock out of the box graphical settings. Since watching this video, I am now playing a gamma that looks almost identical to yours in full beautiful 4K at a steady 60 FPS. The only issue I have is that with the reshade preset you are using I seem to have a lot of blur(both at the edges of the screen end in motion) it does not appear that way in your game. I have disabled all the field other than that I would not know what to do. Do you by chance know what I’m missing?
How did you make ur game look so clear and clean? I've tried many different reshades, texture packs and other graphic mods with GAMMA but for some reason the game becomes kinda blurry around the edges. Is this some kind of GAMMA effect?
You have to look through the effects when you download reshade. There is a section that asks what effects you'd like to install (Marty's etc..) look through them and find the ones you want and make sure you check the boxes. Be warned the more effects you add the longer reshade takes to load and bigger shader cache to clear regularly.

So i have EFP installed and it works just fine... however once i add other mods the game won't even launch most of the time due to shader errors or others, i could need some help here. Oh and how can i use the badland reshade?

@@CusterPlays i had that one dowloaded already and had atmosR.ini active, should it be in the BIN, because in only have atmosBody and reshade shaders in there and cant select anything in the rashade one

the problem with this game is its age. We've done it so much in all directions, that today we're not coming back just for the visuals. The places are known by heart, there are no more surprises. And having to load the game every time you change zone is very, very painful in 2024. I've been playing the game since the first day it came out, and I'm talking about STALKER 1st of the name. Then I made them all, with thousands of mods. Now I can't do it anymore.
ive never much dealt with mods besides stuff that basically installs itself. recently i got the gamma standalone and was wondering if your tutorial is valid for that as well. thx in advance.

disable sun shadows. it doesn't make any sense for your gpu to process shadows while the weather is cloudy/rainy with zero shadows in sight. Also, those shadows appear eventhough there's heavy overcast which is a little bit immersion breaking for me

Is there a mod that corrects the annoying "enemy can see me through the foliage" thing? This is the main reason I play with short grass.

@CusterPlays Arrival is nice but it can tank fps on lower specced systems at least it did the last time I used it.

Today’s gamma should have 400+ mods. Makes sure your gamma is up to date
I've been playing Gamma since launch and it NEVER had less than 300 mods. You messed up your install severely. I'm shocked the game even runs

That will never happend because it already exists. I use the EFP 4.2 Modpack and simply add these graphical mods

I tried doing hippos guide for efp, but all the shadows even under trees were pitch black to the point of needing a flashlight to see anything. Maybe ill try it on gamma as i like both.
My Stalker folder was cute and little once, but like a real child it grew and grew more beautiful. Approaching 40GB now and worth it :)
However not everything is always compatibel so I keep a backup on my server to revert to :)
What CPU and GPU do you run? Just got a PC with a 12th gen i7 and a GTX4060 and wondered if it would be able to handle some of these. I know the 4060 definitely has its limitations. Thank you!

I’ve been playing Gamma for a little over a year now, but with all the stock out of the box graphical settings. Since watching this video, I am now playing a gamma that looks almost identical to yours in full beautiful 4K at a steady 60 FPS.
The only issue I have is that with the reshade preset you are using I seem to have a lot of blur(both at the edges of the screen end in motion) it does not appear that way in your game. I have disabled all the field other than that I would not know what to do. Do you by chance know what I’m missing?

How did you make ur game look so clear and clean? I've tried many different reshades, texture packs and other graphic mods with GAMMA but for some reason the game becomes kinda blurry around the edges. Is this some kind of GAMMA effect?
How did you get TFAA and Adaptive fog into that reshade when it doesn't come with them?
You have to look through the effects when you download reshade. There is a section that asks what effects you'd like to install (Marty's etc..) look through them and find the ones you want and make sure you check the boxes. Be warned the more effects you add the longer reshade takes to load and bigger shader cache to clear regularly.

Maybe I'm stupid, but what is they keybind to bring up reshade in game? Install it into the Anomaly folder or Gamma Folder?

So i have EFP installed and it works just fine... however once i add other mods the game won't even launch most of the time due to shader errors or others, i could need some help here. Oh and how can i use the badland reshade?

The mods work now, but there is still a problem, the game is just using the CPU, it doesn't use the GPU at all, any idea why?

@@CusterPlays i had that one dowloaded already and had atmosR.ini active, should it be in the BIN, because in only have atmosBody and reshade shaders in there and cant select anything in the rashade one

the problem with this game is its age. We've done it so much in all directions, that today we're not coming back just for the visuals. The places are known by heart, there are no more surprises. And having to load the game every time you change zone is very, very painful in 2024. I've been playing the game since the first day it came out, and I'm talking about STALKER 1st of the name. Then I made them all, with thousands of mods. Now I can't do it anymore.
ive never much dealt with mods besides stuff that basically installs itself. recently i got the gamma standalone and was wondering if your tutorial is valid for that as well. thx in advance.
Use texture mods and maybe arrived for anomalies, the rest you are good to go
@@CusterPlays would you mind making a video about it? with suitable ones and maybe a tutorial. ive found so many dodgy stuff that either is only for anomaly or an addition for the gamma pack for anomaly, but not a single one that is explicitly for the standalone. thanks for the reply tho and i left a follow.
disable sun shadows.
it doesn't make any sense for your gpu to process shadows while the weather is cloudy/rainy with zero shadows in sight. Also, those shadows appear eventhough there's heavy overcast which is a little bit immersion breaking for me
