Really good use of lower frame rate to visualize fast movements and impacts, squash and stretch feels good, sound design is nice, choreography is decent. Respect :)
This was nostalgic, I remember when the game was like this, I do say that 79.441 is nice though, I love the Summon Cthulhu and Transition into Tunnel triggers, but I felt like giving the other new triggers justice via tier list! Seeing how 2.2 is after playing it, you might actually be able to make a Platformer level like this, although it may be a little clunky. The Tower has interactions with the jump button, so this seems doable.
I always want to see a rhythm + action game. Although my original idea of it is kinda of impossible because it has health bars so when you miss a button the opponent will hit you but that means there has to be lots of different animations for different scenarios for one fight
@@mailmonkey oh no no, the thing with my original idea is that the animation is like something out of anime or something like that. Y'know, 2 or more people fighting with each other. It's like in telltale games where you have to do QTE to perform an action and when you fail you'll get hit and will get a whole different animation, but now give it more button to press, play a music in the background, and make sure that the buttons are sync with the beat of the music. So yeah.. you can see why this wouldn't work, lol. Well at least for this generation. We might get something like that in the far future. Well, "we" as in future humans, not us lame past people

Yeah, I used to play on 15.4 and the fact it was in 4k and 240 fps was cool But now in version 42.0 you can play in VR and it has a boosted RTX and it's in 24k and 4000fps, I pretty much enjoy it
You just know that if an update like this came to GD, and this was available for online levels, the hardest levels would just be a bunch of bullet hell levels where you only have 0.04 seconds to react to each projectile. Actually maybe this already exists. On the other hand, this is great. Edit: almost a year later. Lemme fix that real quick.
0.6 seconds? man, thats too easy, even 60 fps frame perfect needs 0.016 seconds to react, and in the hardest levels number of those is neer to 50. edit: on higher fps that might be from 1/infinity to 0.033 seconds. as for 360 fps it could be from 0.0027 to 0.0305 seconds. all possible numbers: 0.00277; 0.00555; 0.00833; 0.01111; 0.01388; 0.01666; 0.01944; 0.02222; 0.025; 0.02777; 0.03055 seconds.

It could use inverse kinematics where you give a object a point and it does maths to stretch. that could fix the animation problem
Just Shapes N Beats is kinda like a rhythm + action game, you can shoot the obstables and dodge them. there are also boss fights
