Another great video mate, we were always told rigger boots were banned due to no ankle support which is BS as you can buy them with reinforcement at the ankle, I’ve been on loads of sites as both a driver and a contractor where I had to follow exact H & S rules and yet the staff onsite didn’t, I got grassed up by an employee on a Rolls Royce site for not wearing safety glasses (I wear ordinary glasses) I said he wasn’t wearing any, doesn’t matter he’s an employee was the response!
I forgot that this was only just your Tuesday 😮 till I read the comments. Hope your week got better. Thankyou for a banging video as always. Hope you enjoy your airodinamic non breathable helmet.
Two worst things about them entry buttons when they dont tell you where to go on some Huge site when you have never been there and when the thing gives you a static electric shock when you press it from in the cab!
Dave, I work in the plastic recycling business and if you have a odd number of bags get them to put a stack of pallets beside it. Then you can strap the shit out of it and it won't fall over 👍👍
At least it wasn’t tipped over cat litter 😂. I pulled the short straw for off loading that one after it got refused once. The guy had restacked it like the Eiffel Tower and it was just everywhere
20 years in the seat id have tipped ya no problem. Les comes from old stock just like me, we dont care what the load looks like so long as the drive will help out as best he can. i drive class 2's a million years back when the roads had way less traffic and the M40 really was built for trucks! my trip was from coventry (where i still live) to london (where i lived for a few years), back to coventry and then birmingham cov return for 3 loads and then off for a few hours.
This is why Im in scrap metal haulage tipper atm in France but god I would feel so annoyed with pallets with loads like this falling down on the side but atleast it was in the rear and not in the middle.
the difference with rigger boots in some warehouses is that they can be dragged off your foot. its as simple as that, that they can be pulled off and you could sustain more injury because of them. but to be fair, it makes sense if you think about it. imagine falling off your trailer and getting your foot caught. the boot comes off and just at the wrong time a 5 ton flt rolls over your now bootless foot. thats your job down the swanny, you cant claim insurance from the company because you were wearing rigger boots and then blah blah blah! so yeah, it kinda makes sense when you think about it Dave...........
Ok true story. I was trying to find a motivational video on my phone and came across this. Not sure its what I i was going for but interesting nonetheless.
I really want to give truck driving a go. I don't think I have the patience needed Thom I get angry enough sometimes driving a van delivering parcels around busy towns let alone driving a huge truck for miles and dealing with roundabouts non stop and idiot drivers etc 😂
Riggers are Fine For The Trade they are Designed for . Riggers are Not Deemed Safe in Some Working Environments . People have been Injured hot tar down the boot ect. Shit Happens mate..
That's some bull×××× if I ever heard it who the f is rolling there ankles when you can't even get on your trailer. EVEN THEN IF YOU CANT WALK ITS YOUR OWN PROBLEM 😅
